Very peaceful and quiet area. Great for winding down. Spa treatments were lovely and relaxing. Swimming pool was warm and clean. Great nights sleep, beds comfortable. Breakfast, buffet style was very, very good. Lots of choice and chef was willing to make additional items if wanted. Great atmosphere. Went to the bar for a drink and watched the premier league football on the big screen. Everyone had a great time but was still very civilised. Shower was powerful, bathroom in our room was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Staff advised where to visit locally for a day out.

Room service- not varied enough and very expensive for only “small plates”. Not many pillows (personal preference). Would have liked more pillows to lay my head on to sleep. When we arrived there was a “fusty” smell to the room until we opened the balcony door and windows (we did this everyday).

Everything was perfect, the staff were so kind and really thoughtful. The breakfast itself was genuinely one of the higlight's of my days at the festival we attended. I got a cab booked for myself and the staff were always so kind and attentive. 10/10 would recommend!

Nothing! There really wasn't anything that I wouldn't improve upon. I know that the bar will be closed at some point throughout the evening so it was a bit of a shame that we couldn't carry on the festivities but that is totally understandable!

Facilities

Young lady on reception didn't make eye contact, she only told us our room number and how to get there, she barely smiled and didn't look bothered. As the front face of the Hotel this was poor. I had to ask where the restaurant, pool and other facilities we may need. The second bed had metal framework sticking out at the bottom of the bed on both sides, my 11 year old son didn't see or expect this and grazed all his leg, and this was through jogging bottoms. If he was bare leg this would have been worse. This needs documenting as a near miss, and preventative actions put in place.

The room was very nice and although we hardly used the tv it was on an outside wall so it wouldn't have disturbed the adjoining room, that was a great idea. The breakfast was buffet style and had everything you could want and loved being able to sit on the outdoor terrace. Staff mostly excellent. Beautiful walks around the park and the whole place is brilliantly upkept. Wonderful wild flowers around the borders.

The evening meal menu was a disappointment, like pub food. It was fine but i just expected better. Nicer menu better presented. Bog standard really. We loved sitting out on the terrace watching the farmer collecting his bales and the birds going to roost. However on the second evening they kept trying to clear out table, (we were grazing at our cheeseboards) when I asked why (the terrace and restaurant were 80% empty) she said her manager kept telling her too.

Lovely room with excellent facilities including large fluffy white towels and Crabtree products in the bathroom, easy, free WiFi and an iron with ironing board. The pool was a good temperature and it was great to have another large soft towel plus a padlock for a locker without the need for a deposit. Breakfast was delicious, notably the black pudding!

The room lighting was a little dim for older eyes. The bathroom towels were a bit out of reach from the shower. There wasn’t a hand towel for the basin. No one cleared the plates from our table (or others nearby) until we were nearly ready to leave.

I love how attentive the staff were, especially the restaurant attendant Jason! He ensured we had all we needed and were catered for my gluten-free needs. The grounds are amazing and we are planning another trip back as we couldn't really appreciate it as we had a wedding to attend elsewhere.

Coffee machine .. too cold! Even when I drank it straight from the machine it was Luke warm. Bed was a bit too bouncy. Nothing major to stop us returning.

Not a lot to dislike but the bed was not particularly comfortable Quite hard and noisy ( creaking) when you moved about Fridge ( which was not working well) No water No bath robes so had to go down to the pool fully dressed & change there..a little niggle really but it would have made a big difference to us

Very accommodating staff and team, rooms very comfortable and spacious. Dining room was fully booked but staff were able to find us a table outside to eat. Food was tasty with good size portions. Breakfast was excellent, with a big range of options.

Our original waitress lost our order, but another team member picked up on it after 45 minutes or so. Very kindly moved us inside to a nice warm table and the re-ordered food arrived shortly thereafter. Slightly confused as our waitress said that service charges did not go to the staff, which I had always assumed they did which is why I am happy to pay them

Hotel was really nice, lovely location on St George’s park. Nice outdoor area to sit and have drinks. We also booked the spa when we booked the hotel. The spa facilities and pool area were great. The massages we had were lovely and I thought it was a nice touch we had a tea afterwards that matched the scent of the oil used on us.

The air con in the room was pretty rubbish and not cold enough at all.

EV charging experience was extremely poor. Slow speed (3KwH??), charge stopped 3 times, so a real pain to restart and hadn't got to a full charge for my return trip in 24 hours!!! Suggested they need to upgrade all chargers to high/mid-speed (40KwH+) chargers, that can be used just with card payments as apps are a pain and too many to bother with.
