Having booked up the morning of the stay we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place considering what we were paying - superb value for money. The food was wonderful, we had dinner and breakfast, the staff (especially Richard the manager was very accommodating - he went out of his way to please. Situated in a quite location of a small town, the associated pub was comfortable with nice outside facilities and plenty of room inside too, they stocked lovely beers and drinks too. The restaurant and the whole pub was really nicely decorated - someone has excellent eye for colour good taste. The clientele seemed nice, and parking was most convenient too. Finally the room was spacious and again the decor was good with a really comfortable bed - lovely night's sleep.

Nothing, we would go there again. Richard apologise for the rubbish in part of the carpark where some renovations were continuing, but that didn't affect us.

Cosy and welcoming lovely bar and restaurant. Rooms great especially the Premium room that has old oak beams and four poster bed. Bed was absolute delight to sleep in with lovely bedding and natural pillows. The staff were amazing especially Sophie who checked us in with a warm welcome. Resteraunt in cosy and comfortable the food is good with a nice sized menu and prices very, very reasonable value for money. Breakfast was really nice and Sophie and staff were really attentive. Whole experience a delight.

Nothing I can think of

Traveled with extended family, the checkin process was easy and very helpful in carry suitcases to the room. My elder mother travelled with us and she stay in the annex - perfect with no stairs. Breakfast (full english) was very good and a Continental option too - for my mother . Manager/ staff were all very helpful and personable , making our stay very enjoyable and comfortable.

Warm welcome , building full of character , my daughter and I shared the honeymoon suite which was absolutely amazing . hotel had off road parking , a bar and restaurant on site , good breakfast , nothing was too much trouble for the host who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed , really appreciated it

Everything was fabulous

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and Richard, the owner, was both welcoming and a great source of laughs, he really made us feel at home. The cosy rooms feature a bath, which I always appreciate for a relaxing soak. The pub food was also excellent, delicious and well-prepared. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Property great. Booking.com dreadful won’t use booking.com again. Trying to sell me flights to Derby, excursions and day trips. The app offered me upgrades to an inferior room. Customer service dreadful.

Location was beautiful, accomodation was well kept and thought out. The bed was comfortable and it was great having onsite parking. The staff I dealt with were warm and welcoming.

Perfect place for my my job. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home. Not far from derby.
