The room, the bathroom and the bed were all very clean -a point I'm particularly concerned with. My room was bright and well furbished. There is also a kitchenette which I wasn't aware of before coming, equipped with cutlery, a fridge and a few snacks. A good surprise! The position is very conveniently two steps away from the city center. The staff was very welcoming. Overall, I was very comfortable in this place as a solo female traveller!
The wifi was quite slow in my room. Whoever is sensitive to noise, consider that the street is right below your window. But it was not an issue for me, as the traffic in Derby is not particularly noisy.

Attended for Flowerpot Rock Weekender. Location, comfy firm bed, great amenities with offers of a continental style 'go to' breakfast in the kitchen galley area. Noon check out and a minute walk to car park. Traffic noise as mentioned in previous reviews was not an issue at all, perhaps they were light sleepers
Room 6 was a little stuffy as all the sash windows were sealed due to H&S. May have been better to have restricters on, as the much welcome fan just circulated the warm air. However, this would not stop us from staying in future.

The staff are friendly and efficient. We were checked in by a member of staff quickly and efficiently. The bar was extremely busy, but nobody seemed to wait very long before being served. The room we stayed in was excellent, and it cost next to nothing, bearing in mind the facilities. The room was very clean and had everything you needed; a colour TV, free tea & coffee, a hair dryer, fan, etc, on suit facilities, comfy bedding, and it was cosily warm. You also get a free grab and go style breakfast, which was a very welcome. We stayed at the Flowerpot as we were watching a band at the venue. If you are doing likewise, I would highly recommend this accommodation. It is also a good base if your having a night out in Derby.
Nothing, my wife and I loved the Flowerpot.

Staff, room and cleanliness were excellent. Easy check in. The way you have self service breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Food on the curry night was beyond expectations. good selection of real ales.
The wifi was the only thing that was poor it was a weak to non existent signal at times. This was very important to me as I needed to keep in contact with family abroad. Could only give you 3 out of 4 for wifi, If you can improve this I would have given full marks for the facilities.

Really great place, stayed here for work. Wasn’t sure where to stay at first and was suggested a travel lodge or premier inn, but I prefer somewhere more homely. Found this little independent treat that is right next to a great pub offering craft ales! Rooms are lovely and clean, complimentary tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate and a kettle in the room with biscuits, which is daily replenished. Also nice complementary soap and shower gel / shampoo. Very surprised at how comfy the bed and pillows are, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on other than my own! The memory foam pillow or down like fill is a nice touch too! Then they have the kitchenette which has a microwave, toaster and 2 fridges. Which are free for use for guests. Daily replenished cereals, croissants, butter, jams, Nutella and cereal bars ensure you have enough to keep you going for breakfast. All in all I was very happy with my stay and will be returning here whenever I have to come up to Derby for work. Thanks all!

The location. The convenience. The price. The friendly staff. The ambiance. I also liked that, although there was no ‘set’ breakfast, there was a little ‘kitchenette’ where you could help yourself to cereals, toast with jams, breakfast bars, etc. You then took this back to your room which was great. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room with a kettle which was also fab.
We were in the very top floor room, and I suspect that because it was a very warm day the room did get very, very hot (warm air rising). It was much cooler in the corridors so I propped our room door open to help ventilate. There was also a fan in the room which helped.

Booking and check-in information was simple. Car park next door made access a doddle. Nice welcome from bar staff who showed us up to our room. Spacious, clean comfortable room. Basic breakfast requirements in the shared kitchenette suited us perfecly. The Flowerpot is a great real ale pub in a perfect location for vehicle access and then for an easy, short stroll to City Centre facilities.. We used to come here for live music gigs some years ago when we lived in the city but hadn't realised they had started catering for visitors. Infinitely more character than your standard budget hotel.
Nothing.

Fantastic place, very comfortable and clean room and excellent value. There isn't a cooked breakfast but there is a kitchenette where they supply breakfast cereals and milk, bread for toasting with jam etc. Don't worry about noise: there was a band the night I stayed but they finished up around 10.30, and in fact the way the rooms are located means you don't hear much pub noise anyway. The pub is friendly. Located in a nice part of Derby too

The location close to the Cathedral Quarter and the very secure multi storey car park were very good. Room very clean as was the bathroom and shower. Spotless. Very good nights sleep. The breakfast was a handy one - help yourself to cereals, etc was great as I had a very early start the next day. The Flowerpot was warm and welcoming with friendly staff. An excellent array of of high quality ales, lagers, etc in the smart bar. Would definitely stay here again as I missed the curry night and music.

We had the superior double room which had plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well, the breakfast items that were on offer to us were excellant, all staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Wifi was advertised on booking information but it was virtually non existant in our room to access it, not sure if this cause of weak signal but I could see this being a problem for some guests if Wifi was important to them. Also we were attending the music event in the evening, we did think at times the bar in the music room needed more than one member of staff, the bar staff in the main pub bar were working really hard as it was very busy.
