Location ideal for football stadium, within easy walking distance. Hotel clean, obviously had been refurbed.

Common complaint with hotels - no light over mirror for doing make-up, ideally need dressing table/desk with seat and light. Cannot use mirror in bathroom for it as it gets steamed up, and other person is usually in the bathroom when I need to do my make-up. There was no extractor fan in bathroom either. Breakfast could have been hotter. Poor choice on the second day (Sunday) when less people were staying there. No info in the room - e.g. menu for hotel dining room. In fact when booking on booking.com there was nothing to say the hotel did evening meals (despite me looking for it) so we assumed it didn't and had booked table elsewhere.

The room was small and basic but had everything you needed. Shower was great, love the long mirror, bed was hard but comfortable. The community feel downstairs at the bar was much appreciated! Great for a drink and a game of pool. Area was great and had everything you'd need for food and shopping.

Unfortunately the spa facilities were not available to use during our stay. The bed was really low. Rooms were absolutely basic bare = No fridge. No in-room hotel information. One pillow, one towel, one tea bag etc. per person. But I guess that's what you pay for! Staff were accommodating with requests.

As soon as we walked through the door, we were wowed by this hotel! Great food and range of drinks on offer. Comfy bar area with fab decor. Amazing spread for breakfast with so much on offer!

Wasn't so keen on having to pay extra for parking (although was given 2 nights for the price of one as we're leaving the venue later on our departure date), or paying the same price for breakfast for my 15 yr old as me (she certainly doesn't have a big enough appetite to be paying adult prices). Would have liked fried eggs and tomatoes on offer at breakfast (fussy, I know!).

Super comfortable bed, good shower, restaurant on site which serves until 10.30pm and had decent veggie options. Quick and easy check in. Although the room is a little dated looking it was very comfortable with everything I needed. Staff were friendly. Great location for the station and Pride Park/Riverside Centre. Was able to leave my case there whilst at a conference.

Breakfast was ok, would have liked fresh fruit, the pastries weren't replenished and the scrambled egg was inedible! I'm sure there would have been veggie sausages available, but they weren't advertised and I didn't ask because I didn't have time to wait anyway, maybe worth a check if veggie though as cooked options might be limited without?

The rooms were spacious and very clean.. shower was quite big & roomy. Price I payed on booking.com was brilliant. On arrival we were greeted by a staff member called Richard he was so helpful and very welcoming and friendly . We will definately stay there again.

Just a little winge… the hairdryer in my opinion is in the wrong place. Ours was just more or less behind entrance door, the small lighting in that area is very dull and is abit to far away from the mirror and makes it seem dark

Very nice hotel, with friendly staff. There was a fitness room and sauna, but unfortunately didn't sample either, although they're 24hr. My room which was on the end seemed a bit chilly, when I first arrived, however the staff offered me a heater or a change of room, I accepted the former and things were fine.

Bit difficult to find. Had very limited seating for breakfast, however food was good. There is pay for parking at the hotel, however this was waived as a New Year gesture.

The staff who served at dinner were absolutely amazing. They were friendly, helpful and attentive. I asked to buy a bottle of water for my room, and the lady very kindly gave me a bottle for free. I really appreciated the gesture. Having a gym on site was also a bonus. Despite it being small, it offered enough equipment for a good workout. The room was neat and clean and the bed was super comfortable too! All in all a very pleasant experience and lovely decor!

The room had recently been renovated and the bathroom was of a higher standard than we expected for a hotel of this standard. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, an achievement with the renovation works taking place on the second floor.

The price was higher than you would've expected for a hotel of this standard. The breakfast was not as good as one of your main national competitors.

Extremely accommodating staff (see reasons below), they provided stress reducing hot chocolate for free; the room was clean, had lots of toiletries, spare towels, refreshments, tv, air con. Good hearty dinner, and excellent buffet breakfast. I enjoyed the sauna (free), and they have a gym, and parking.

In truth, my stay here was accidental. It is outside of my normal price range for hotels. My original hotel (301 @ Friary Street) cancelled my room without informing me stating that the heating/hot water was broken, but they still sold my room to someone else, again without telling me, after I had pre-paid, and only telling me on arrival. I can't state enough to avoid that hotel. I suppose if I have to nit pick, then they charge £5 a night for parking, and the dinner food whilst great is expensive, steak at £40+?

We've stayed here quite a lot , The hotel is excellent and well placed for Donington Park and Derby County , it is always very clean, great facilities, toiletries, tea coffee and kettle supplied, hairdryer etc, air conditioning
