For the price we paid, this 2 night stay was exceptional value! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, (special thank you to the lady at breakfast who pre toasted my gluten free bread on the second morning when she saw me!) Clean, comfy and very good breakfast = a great choice for a good value base for a city visit.

The rooms are a little dated but this didn't impact our stay and we weren't there to stay in our room. I would choose to stay here again when visiting the city.

Excellent location for arriving by train. Breakfast was very good and good, friendly service. Our room and bathroom were both very spacious and we enjoyed the view of the station. Enjoyed the rail heritage of the hotel.

Lack of phone in room and paper cups. Lift wasn't working which could be a problem for older people. Hotel looked in need of some refurbishment - ie paintwork on window frames, cracked floor tiles in bathroom, bathroom door didn't shut properly.

The staff were really helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

No lift available. My wife struggled with the stairs. Due to the number of coach parties no lower room was available. Also no table available for Saturday evening meal due to already being fully booked. Maybe because we had a dog with us. But as we drank in the bar for 2 hours. Tables were still empty during our 2 hour visit.

Room itself was clean, staff were attentive, pleasant and helpful. The bed was very comfortable as well. Couldn't beat the price and for what we paid the family had a great time. We were seeing family nearby so the hotel fitted our needs well.

Nothing , looking forward to COVID restrictions being lifted so we can enjoy the hotel at its finest again .

Location was super convenient, staff very polite and welcoming.

Breakfast was good, getting to your table and waiting to be sat took a bit longer but I understand that’s more about covid restrictions.

Lovely room.

The pillows were on the hard side. The shower cubicle, grouting and grove's in shower door need bleaching. Room was very warm, but we put the fan on so all good.

Very comfortable mattress, slept well. Really good breakfast and well organised. Staff were really helpful and manager was fantastic. Bonus was the deep bath.

Room was fine for one. Staff at breakfast were pleasant and helpful. The location was great for a train user.

The staff were absolutely brilliant! The room was so comfortable with a powerful shower. Very COVID aware with safety precautions in place.
