Staff at reception, kitchen and cleaners all very agreeable. Room modern and comfortable with good lighting. Our deal included breakfast which had cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, beverages, sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, toast, jams, cakes. All well cooked and served in a spacious area. Thankfully the tv was not loud whilst eating. We caught a bus from the town centre and only about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. We enjoyed our 1 night stay as it was quiet and the room of a high standard.

We got a good price but remember prices can vary.

Breakfast and location was spot on as was the staff.

Although it said pet friendly, we had a frightening experience with a loose dog which was left and unattended barking and panting showing signs of stress in the corridor. We were unable to go out for a meal until we knew the situation had been resolved which I think was about an hour, we had already had a long and busy day. We contacted reception to advise of this. We would like a full detailed explanation of events and how this occured in the first place. We are not against dogs but this could have been a young child innocently confronted by a dog. Look forward to hearing from you.

The hotel was very clean and the service was great! We left for the day to attend the local festival at Catton Park and arrived back to note that the room had been tidied and the beds made, which was a nice suprise. The breakfast in the mornings which was included was also really good, fresh and hot!

The room was quite hot but we did stay when the temp outside was in the high 20's so thats not suprising. The room had a fan that pushed out cool air which was a life saver over night, although it was fairly loud.

The reception staff were polite, welcoming and informative. Our room was very nice and clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, the choice of a soft or hard pillow was a bonus. Breakfast was great, there was a big choice of hot and cold food, the sausage and bacon were quality.

Just a little quibble, check out was 11 but when we came back to our room from breakfast we couldn't get in, meaning a trip back down to reception, everyone on our floor had the same issue. Also, maybe another coffee machine so that at busy times the queue isn't so long

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff here are fantastic. They couldn’t have been more helpful, I was travelling with my daughter for a dance show in Alton Towers and this was the perfect location at a great price. At very short notice we wanted to stay an extra night and they quickly dealt with my request without having us switch rooms. Breakfast is included with your stay, and there is a huge variety. They even provide grab and go bags if you don’t have time to stop for breakfast, you can make yourself and bacon roll and a coffee to take with you on your journey. I can’t fault this hotel at all, there is nothing I didn’t like about it, definitely be visiting again.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast included vegan options (just have to ask for vegan sausages as they cook them to order). I was travelling for a job interview nearby and, if I get the job, will use them again when needing to be on that site.

I have no complaints, just one suggestion. It looks like they’re already planning to introduce EV charging (as a couple of spaces are marked). With the increasing demand I’d suggest perhaps adding more than 2.

Comfortable room, was clean and tidy.

As we had our dog with us, we weren't allowed in the breakfast area that had tables and chairs so we had to use a less than comfortable area to eat breakfast. The plates provided were rather small so we had to go back to get food. As a person with a disability, I found that having and enjoying my breakfast was not a good experience. The staff were very pleasant and the car park was adequate.

Excellent, helpful, smiley staff. Size of the rooms and decor was good. Corridors were spacious. Pleasant communal areas.

Some stains on the carpet and settee in our room. The room was otherwise very clean and housekeeping staff were obviously working hard and were very pleasant. This is not a criticism of them. I can only assume that they do not have the time or cleaning products or resources to deal with the more problematic stains.

Very welcoming , helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable well-appointed spotlessly clean room. Very good self-service breakfast. This hotel is in a bit of an odd location and is currently in the middle of building works and looks very unwelcoming. However, I was forewarned about the building works and they were no problem at all – particularly as it was the weekend. The warm welcome given by the two woman receptionists quite made up for the surroundings. The man on reception when I left was equally helpful and friendly.

The parking situation. Again, the information sent beforehand mentioned that they had a very small carpark. What wasn’t clear until I got there was that there really aren’t any other places to park nearby. I had no problem this weekend. However, I cannot imagine how they will manage when the hotel is extended. I would only book again if it were obvious that they had extended the parking availability..

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Blackout curtains and very quiet at night. Dove products in bathroom. Buffet breakfast was kept well stocked. There's a Morrisons and McDonald's very nearby. You can walk to the town centre in about 45 minutes, and a taxi is about £6.

We were asked to pay £5 for parking on arrival but this wasn't made clear on booking. Coffee at breakfast was mediocre, and there were no vegetarian sausages or mushrooms.
