A million times better than a travel lodge because this place is real. The pub has a warm friendly community atmosphere. There's no edge to the place, no aggression. We saw a group of musicians called The Magpies there who played so nicely we really enjoyed it. The room was spotless clean and confortable. We stayed on a Friday & Saturday night so obviously it was loud downstairs until kick out time but we expected that and it's quite in the morning for a lie in. Shared bathroom but no one else was staying there. Great location in the town. Lots of pubs bars cafes & restaurants. No breakfast available but there's a Weatherspoons 2 mins round the corner and it has a beautiful patio to eat breakfast on if its sunny. It's the nicest 'spoons I've ever seen! No litter in the town. Did i mention what a great pub it is? We had a truly wonderful stay & i can't recommend it highly enough!!

The shower water came out so fast it stings a bit if you're not careful.

Greeted by a beautiful young lady very polite and nice and even her son Reece came over to chat to us, gave it a very homely feel

Staff were very helpful and friendly and it was nice to get back to a lively pub and have a nice pint while still buzzing from the gig. Lots of CCTV in the car park so the bikes were safe overnight too. Only 4 miles from Forest Live and everything else the Chase has to offer.

It was a lovely big room but strangely had two large internal windows overlooking the stairwell - the tasteful blinds unfortunately did not stop the room being floodlit every time one of the other guests went in or out....and I think they must have been smokers as seemed to be going in and out (very quietly ...) quite often throughout the night. Walls are thin so can hear the other guests trying to be quiet - might be an issue if you are blessed with rowdy neighbours....

The staff were very good and helpful. They were all young attractive ladies with Emma very efficient and helpful. The rooms were very good and bar good. I would consider staying again especially due to the friendly staff

The only drawback to the rooms was the absence of en.suite to the room I was staying in. I would try to obtain the room with en.suite next time.

The Hen House was a lovely friendly pub landlady was fantastic made us feel so welcome and very easy to talk to. Would definitely go back so handy for everything 3 minutes walk to shops, bars, the party we were invited to at the Aquarius Ball Room too. Really enjoyed it.

Clean, Comfy, Tea coffee making stuff.

Odd Shower set up over bath, power shower fitted but ho hose and shower head, attached to this. Shower from dual tap set up over bath, from bath taps which is fine if there was enough shower hose to reach your head stood up, when to shower hose and head attached to rail. I am 5ft 5 inches and i had to sit in bath to shower or bend down. Fit a loner hose and everything will be fine.

It was great stay at the hen house in Hednesford. Room was big and spacious. The bed was very comfy too and a great selection of beers in the bar downstairs

The only thing that let down this property, was the shower was very weak. The temperature kept changing.

Staff were friendly busy pub perfect location for what I needed I will definitely stay here again and will pass details on to family as we always up this way

More milk sugar coffee but a personal preference also wish pub had Newcastle brown

Staying over a pub is always a fraught business. You might be tempted to pop down to the bar for a few pints. I made ample use of the beer garden out front and nearly didn't need my room- ha ha!

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the openness of the room. It was really quiet considering it was a Saturday night, and while you can still hear the bar downstairs it was extremely muffled, incredible soundproofing! Very nice stay

How warm their bed was, it'd be nicer if they offered a blanket as well as a duvet. Definitely a nitpick, though, it's the only issue we had
