The room, the restaurant & the ambience was really good.

The reception was the rudest & meanest woman I had ever met in my entire life ! When I went to drop the key she asked me if I knew the name & surname of my partner ( who left earlier for work!) & then continues to print out HIS receipt ( he paid ) without me requesting it, even when I said I didn't want it - saying :" Just in case you wanted to pay him back " . She had assumed that we were not a "couple". It was extremely derogatory & insulting. I will be contacting the property myself.

Very helpful friendly staff arrived from Cyprus in the early hours called the Townhouse and let me check in earlier which was so helpful and much appreciated, rooms although a bit dated were very clean and plenty of facilities needed, hairdryer, iron and board lots of tea, coffee and biscuits only negative for me was access to the room having travelled and returned with luggage the only access was via a number of doors and stairs I would certainly recommend to others that don’t have these struggles and although due to ongoing refurbishment of the bar and eating options there are more than enough places to eat and drink where the Townhouse is situated 😊

Staff were pleasant and helpful, unfortunately the hotel was being renovated so there was no bar or restaurant which we were informed about beforehand. The location was spot on for the event we were attending at the town hall, there was a night porter to let us in after 11pm. The room was big had iron and ironing board, no wardrobe but had hooks on the wall, bathroom was basic but big it had 2 sinks bath and shower. Wouldn't recommend for disabled people as lots of stairs and no lift.

It had very basic windows and ours didn't lock, it was in need of renovation so understand why it's being done, but it had what we needed.

Staff were excellent. Polite, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and shower pressure great! Check in was easy and even managed an early check in due to the room being ready! Location was spot on, town is down the road and the train station round the corner with easy access to Birmingham city. Parking is free too for hotel guests.

The windows being open in the corridors... it was freezing! Card scan to open the door was very sensitive and we often needed help, as did other guests. These didn't affect our stay though

The staff here are amazing and are keen to make you aware that the venue is also a night club at the weekends. The honesty makes everything much easier to deal with. Dispite music until around 3am (some of which were old classics that we enjoyed) it really wasn't too bad. Don't let it put you off. It is spotlessly clean considering the dule business. The rooms were quaint. It's a nice old building well looked after.

Just a bit chilly but that's more a personal thing really

The room was a very nice size, given that it was superbowl night it was fairly quiet (I dont expect silence on a major sport event night) Location was superb as we were going to the Bakehouse immediatly across the road. The free parking and also being allowed to leave my car in the car park for free until the next afternoon was wonderful and saved me £10+ in parking charges. Food was really nice if a little on the pricey side but not exorbitingly so. ALL of the staff were excellant very friendly and welcoming

The bed was much too low down for me as i have slight mobility issues and i really struggled to get out of it. The bath was a nice size but the over bath shower meant that i had issues accessing the shower facility also the push plug would not stay up and we had to hold it up to empty water out

Staff were so friendly and helpful Location was excellent Room was very clean and really spacious Bed very comfortable Car parking on site was good Price was great, really good value for money Would definitely stay again The hotel is going through a refurb at the moment so no bar open on site, but this was clearly communicated before our stay. Will look forward to visiting when its finished.

Beautiful hotel but very thin walls could hear people coming back from being out at night was woken up a few times. Staff on the night was perfect let my father in law charge his scooter couldn’t be more happy

Was told on phone when booking that breakfast would be included even though they having a renovation. Upon arriving when asking they told us breakfast wouldn’t be provided which is abit crap

The reception staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant one, particularly Dipti, who was on duty when I arrived, but also the colleagues on during the night of my arrival and the next day. Unfortunately I did not ask their names.

The only downside was the noise from the bar/nightclub. Although this was stated in the information about the hotel, it was quite a shock how loud it was.

It was conveniently located for us, with good parking, a comfortable bedroom, with heating, and food available in the evening and for breakfast.

It is a listed building so double glazing is not permitted. They have done their best with secondary glazing but the large bathroom was cold even in Oct.
