Dawn and her family provided a wonderful stay for us in this very clean, very well maintained, beautiful house. Each morning they prepared an amazing Irish breakfast for us and answered any questions we had. Shannon itself is not a town with much to see/do, but it is close to Bunratty castle/village which was a totally unexpected highlight of our stay. In the end the location worked out perfectly for the number of sights we wanted to see in the area, including the cliffs of Kilkee and nearby castles.

The only thing that could have made our stay better was the addition of an air conditioner unit as our room was quite stuffy and it wasn't possible to open more than one window and allow a breeze to cool down the room. Temps are getting hotter every year across the globe and even places as temperate as Ireland have to start thinking about these things for the comfort of guests.

All aspects of Balally house were wonderful. Communications were responded to quickly and meaningfully. There was a bus top within 50M of the house. Dawn was very friendly and helpful. As I was leaving early in the morning, she arranged a lovely breakfast tray for me - perfect. Dawn also arranged for a taxi to transport me to the airport - 15EU. It arrived on time and I arrived for my flight just at the right time. The bus would also have been quick also, only 5 EU, however it would have placed me at the airport either 3 hours too early, or 45 min too late. Worked perfectly. The room was beautifully appointed and well thought out. An extension chord ensured decent access to electrical outlets.

I have nothing bad or critical to say about this home.

Extensive choice on a menu. Had full Irish which had everything.. The continental was much more than a croissant. Homemade compote and Greek yogurt etc. Personal cafetière. Excellent. Immaculate presentation everywhere. Charming hosts. Very helpful. Excellent food at hotel across the road

No tap in the guest tea room. Possibly water supplied separately. I found Bellally difficult to find (as a dinosaur). Not their fault but the criss cross of new roads serving Shannon Town and airport and going to Limerick. With sat.nav ok.

Lovely breakfast, very nice facility, a lot of parking, very clean as well, and close to town. Was given some good places to eat and they were great as well.

Felt like the staff was Token nice. Was seating in the open guest seating area having normal conversation and was reminded low voices at 10pm and they closed the door. But other guests were coming in and out until 2am was ok. Didn’t feel at home. If you book the room thru Booking.com just an FYI you need to pay at the B&B, they don’t charge you ahead of time.

Beautiful place to stay, room was lovely, clean tidy, bed very comfortable, nice view from the bedroom window, separate lounge area to have tea and coffee across the hall with extras nice touch, for dinner walked across the road to local restaurant very nice, Dawn was very warm friendly person, breakfast was prefect couldn’t ask for better place to stay, would love to stay again thank you Dawn

Nothing to dislike

We had a cozy, comfortable upstairs room at the Balally House B&B. The home is in a very safe and secure neighborhood and the front door is top security. Dawn was a gracious host and has the home beautifully decorated and immaculate clean. There is a nice commons area upstairs for guests to enjoy. We were very excited to have wash cloths (face cloths) in the bathroom. We discovered on this trip wash cloths are not commonly available in European lodging. We enjoyed a delicious and beautiful Irish breakfast prepared by Dawn.

Parking here is extremely tight, especially if the B&B is full for the evening so plan to arrive early to park. :)

We were late to check in. I had some difficulty trying to call (because of my US number) but I was able to email through Booking.com and Dawn responded exceptionally quick. She was kind and courteous at arrival and departure. The location was perfect to walk across the street to dinner. The Irish breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was not staying at this location longer. If we ever make our way back to Ireland, we will be staying here again!

It was a little warm overnight but that is summer in Ireland with no AC. We did try to open the window in our room but it was at an angle and wouldn't stay open enough for a breeze.

Breakfasts were superb, tasty, and nicely presented. Ryan is a chef, so not surprised. Both Ryan and Dawn were friendly and helpful. The location is within ten minutes of Shannon Airport. We would stay here again in the blink of an eye, given our very positive experience.

I would not change a thing, We've been to dozens of B&B's throughout the world. Balally House would be in the Top 5%.

We needed a location close to Shannon Airport to pick up family who were arriving on an early morning flight. I am so glad I found Balally House B&B. The B&B is a mere 10 minute drive from Shannon airport. Our room was comfortable and so very nicely and attractively decorated. The lounge across the hallway provided a "extra" room to relax, watch TV and enjoy the snacks provided by the charming owner. The pub across the road was very convenient for an evening meal. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was delicious. Parking in front of the building meant no worries about where to leave the car. All in all, a wonderful B&B and so easy to get to and from Shannon airport.

The location of this beautiful home was perfect for us: only a 10-minute drive from the airport, but in a quiet area. We first enjoyed tea and snacks upon arrival. Later, we walked across the road for a delicious dinner and then strolled around neighborhood streets and a park. We had a very early flight out the next morning, and our host was kind enough to prepare a to-go breakfast of yogurt, fruit, and croissants that we could eat in our room or take with us to the airport.

We had NO negative issues in this house. Our room and bathroom were a bit smaller here compared to some other places we stayed in Ireland, but it was quite comfortable and offered everything we needed.
