It's been years since I went to the Dunraven, and I always had lovely memories of it. Recently, we had the pleasure of staying there. The hotel is in the most beautiful and picturesque village of Adare, and it was a gorgeous experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by its timeless elegance and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The building is full of charm, with beautifully maintained Georgian features, original paintings, cosy drawing rooms, and roaring fireplaces that make you feel right at home. The staff were brilliant, attentive, professional, and friendly, ensuring every detail was just right. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable with duck down pillows and quilts, pure linen bed linen and had lovely touches like plush robes and a peaceful view of the Abbey. I treated myself to a swim in the pool in the morning, and noted the sauna, but didn't indulge as we didn't have time. The hotel is situated in the heart of the village, and from our bedroom window we could see people walking a route in the distance, which turns out to be a loop walkway that I intend to explore next time. It's partly visible as you exit towards Limerick on the left-hand side as a river walk, and it looks most glorious. There was someone flyfishing in the river as we crossed over. The hotel is the perfect base for exploring all of this and the village, with its thatched cottages, gorgeous boutiques, milners, and cool shoe shops. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with old-world charm, exceptional service, and good hospitality, I can’t recommend the Dunraven Arms highly enough. We’ll be returning. We stayed on a Saturday night in June to attend a local wedding. The room was gorgeous and spacious, and thinking in retrospect, it was all wheelchair friendly. It completely exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic location right in town. Nice old school hotel. Very Nice gym and spa. Breakfast was pretty good, but more variety would be welcome. Not a fan of buffet breakfast but it wasn't bad. Room size v good, nice bathroom and lovely soap Quiet for sleep was great. Had excellent massage
No tea/coffee maker in the room - first time ever and I've been to Ireland dozens of times. Yes, they'll bring you tea and coffee but frankly that's a hassle, esp in the morning. Staff mixed. First morning great service at breakfast, 2nd, the unfriendly waiter dumped us off without menus and just forgot about us. Wish they brought toast instead of having 5 people line up to make it at one lousy toastmaker. Wish they had more info up front about local things to do, a map of Adare etc No dresser in room but there's plenty of room for one. A rug would be welcome, floors cold

I used to live nearby, & had been there only for meals It is an excellent hotel. the standard has never slipped Food quality is exceptional Rooms are beautiful, spotless, & well equipped Staff are lovely & obliging will certainly come back!
only 1 minor point. We asked if we could borrow umbrellas, since, most 1st class hotels offer this service (even if you leave a deposit) and it is in Ireland :) You can even advertise the hotel on the umbrella, so it's a shrewd investment!! The Heavens typically opened while we were at a funeral, & just managed to partly-shelter away from the storm under some trees, sharing 2 small brollies between 3 of us. We did get wet, though...

A comfortable, historic inn - with plenty of space. Well-appointed. The public areas are cosy and welcoming. Dining is good quality and value. The village of Adare is nicely preserved with a beautiful park and washing pool.
The village of Adare suffers from a major road arterial running down its centre. The hotel manages this the best it can with the road on its doorstep. There, however, is no noise effect in the hotel. The fabric of the village is lovely but spoilt by the road.

Lovely big bedroom, comfortable bed, & I slept well. On arrival a pot of tea was brought to my room & I was informed that Princess Grace of Monaco had slept in the bedroom while on a visit to Adare.Large bathroom with power shower, ample whites fluffy towels and lots of toiletries provided. A spacious dress room with ironing board & iron & large mirror, & hairdryer. My room was at the front of the hotel but I didn't hear the traffic outside. Breakfast delicious, lots to choose from & staff were very attentive. I enjoyed the baked ham cut freshly from joint at the buffet. I ordered poached eggs on toasts from the kitchen which arrived promptly. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Dunraven Hotel & will definitely be returning.
Overall I couldn't find fault with anything.

The Dunraven Arms is very charming. The 4 poster bed was so comfortable with its duck filled bedding, it was like sleeping on a cloud. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
It would have been nice to have a tea or coffee station in the room. Unfortunately breakfast was a little disappointing as there was no Bacon and pudding was over cooked and hard. Requested a flat white unfortunately it was more like a weak latte. However when I asked for a double expresso it was perfect.

Staff very friendly & attentive. Breakfast had great choice & was delicious. Bed so comfy! Overall very little to crib about.
Felt it was a little bit expensive to stay. Didn't have dinner here but a glass of wine at €11 was expensive. Also no tea/coffee in room. It is complimentary but you have to ring to reception & have it brought up which seems a bit needless. But overall we had a lovely time.

Really nice hotel. Although the room was nice, the only view was a flat roof. The night porter had a coffee and a few snacks ready for me in the morning. Nice touch organised by the receptionist who checked me in. But the porter was very nice
Ordered a sandwich from room service the ham and cheese from the menu in the room had to go down to reception to pay as I was leaving at 5am. Bread was hard, very little cheese or ham only had part of sandwich very disappointed

WS extensive for the aged hotel ! But the histrionic hotel and service made up for this !
