This hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise, since I didn’t expect much based on the pictures. Yes, the room is very small, but it’s so comfy! The mattress and the pillows are perfect, it’s so quiet in the hotel that you can spend the whole day in bed comfortably. You can open a window in the room, which is rare for Stockholm hotels. But the biggest plus of this hotel is breakfast, probably the best I ever had in a hotel. Everything is right temperature and very tasty, huge selection for a small hotel like this. Lots of gluten free and healthy options and amazing deserts, including candies and cakes. I didn’t see any children around while I was staying there, probably because the rooms are too small to stay with kids, which gives you an additional bonus of peace and quiet at breakfast and in the hotel in general. The stuff is very nice and helpful, I asked for a kettle and they immediately brought it to my room. Considering how awful most of the hotels are in Stockholm (from my experience), this was a hidden gem.

May not be suited for people with mobility issues - there is a weird raised step at the entrance of the room, not sure why it’s there as it takes space from the room and has no functionality. The toilet is almost inside the shower and the bed itself is quite high. There’s also almost no storage space - for example, there’s a desk and two night stands, but none of that has any cabinets, seems like it could be easily fixed by replacing the furniture with something more functional. But it didn’t really matter for me, I had a great time in the hotel and will definitely come again in the future.

I always stay at Hotel Ruth, when in Stockholm. I like the personalised service. That everything is fresh. The decoration and the charm. How central it is and easy to reach on foot or public transport.

I was upgraded to a fantastic room, overseeing the garden. Unfortunately, the bathroom of the neighbouring room was glued to my room. And the walls are not isolated enough, so I was disturbed every night by late showers and happy singing. I never had any problems in any of the other rooms, so I wonder if it is specific to this room.

From the moment I arrived in the early hours of the morning until the moment I left in the early hours of another morning I felt completely looked after and even a bit pampered. The staff were lovely, my room was cozy and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was fantastic for me. There were restaurants and cute shops as well as the city within walking distance. I walked into Gamla Stan and the museums area from the hotel too. I loved the little touches like a comfortable foyer area to sit and enjoy a coffee, cold water, and little snacks in between excursions during the day or for a glass of wine at the end of the evening. Just a gorgeous little hotel. Beautifully decorated.

Be aware if you are there on a Sunday or pi loc holiday you may need to look elsewhere for an evening meal.

Everyone on the staff seemed to be genuinely in a good mood and happy at work ; accomodating and helpful- full points for service. The hotel breakfast was the best in a long time : a very large variety of options, special diets were taken care of and there was newly baked warm bread and croissants available. I appreciated the cake table with sparkling drinks at the end of our breakfast. There was glutenfree delicious cake, too - supernice for me! The location is not in the core core center of the city but I did not mind because the area was nice and quiet; and only a few metro stops from T-Centralen /Arland Expressen. Nearby was a good Lebanese restaurant called Byblos that I also recommend. I liked the interior decorating of the hotel as well. The beds were super comfy, of high quality and great to sleep in.

The breakfast was phenomenal, as expected. Huge variety of things but all good quality! The lobby and the restaurant were nice and comfy, the reception personnel all very sweet. The room on the top floor was peaceful and quiet and the bed (although VERY high) extremely comfortable.

The bare stone floors in the room were definitely an odd choice. Not only were they cold but also uneven and very uncomfortable. A simple carpet would be a huuuge improvement and make the room so much more cozy and "mysigt", now it felt extremely unfinished. The curtains didn't block the light in the morning so bring a mask if you like to sleep in the dark.

Our room was clean. The breakfast was really superb, with many options. Staff were nice and responsive to our requests, including when we inquired about a slightly later checkout at no cost. While the location is not central, the hotel is close to one of the main streets leading to central Stockholm and our walk there was manageable, including in Stockholm's late November, inclement weather. On the bonus side, a bus station to Djurgarden, where there are many famous Stockholm museums, is just around the corner. Totally recommended for all types of travellers - we noticed the hotel is quite popular with a variety of local guests, including business ones.

The design of our room was a bit strange, with a relatively low ceiling and a bit uneven floor, so extra care is needed - however, that does not deduct from good overall marks.

A spacious room welcomed us on arrival providing a generous space for 3. The sitting areas downstairs created a sophisticated ambience without compromising on comfort. And the friendly staff added to this. Hotel Ruth provides a great breakfast. Not only does it cover a broad range of options, the quality of the offering was well above expectations.

Hotel Ruth is in an historic building. While this is definitely part of its charm, working out how best to cool the rooms after a warm day took a little experimentation. Having said that, being able to open the windows overnight is a huge plus.

The breakfast was exceptional with a great variety of different foods and beverages on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful and rooms spotlessly clean.The hotel is in a great location and has a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.

We were too hot under the doona provided and couldn't get a lighter one which disrupted our sleep. The bathroom was VERY small and quite a challenge to get in and out of the shower. However, this is due to the age of the hotel and it has all been renovated so we managed

My experience was quite polarized. The location is great, close to Odenplan so convenient with public transport to everywhere, a nice small hotel in a nice quiet street. The staff was super nice and helpful, really went out of their way to help. Breakfast was very nice and served in very pleasant restaurant. But ....

The room was exceedingly small. Some hotel rooms in big cities are quite compact, but this was extreme. There is in-room bathroom, but I could not sit on the toilet without opening the bathroom door (I am about 180 cm). There was no place to put a suitcase on and I had to open it on the bed. In teh bathroom there is no place to put a toiletries bag, which for me was not a big deal but for some travellers I guess would be very annoying. Everything was cramped. I was one person in a room with a double bed, if there were two it would have been quite impossible to stay in the room at all. So this is a problem and does not fit the price.

The staff are unbelievably nice: knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, courteous. They could not do enough for us. The breakfast is outstanding: great choice and quality! The art and furnishings are really interesting and unusual, with a cosy lounge in which to sit and greet friends/work/read the paper/hang out.

The room we booked is their smallest and the bathroom was too small for us. But we asked to see other rooms and the category above the lowest one was great (and the even bigger ones were wonderful).
