We stayed in the beautiful loft apartment which is well set out with everything you need for a lovely stay and the bed was super comfortable, it is also right in the middle of town and easy walking distance to all that Morpeth has to offer. We were just passing through so we didn’t even get a chance to look in the main house but hope to come back for a more relaxed visit in the future.

The parking is a little tight if you have a big vehicle, but that’s on us and not a complaint just to let people know

We looked for a port in a storm on a long exhausting trip and found paradise. From the moment we walked into the welcoming lounge with wine, chocolates and beverages waiting for us we were smitten. A glorious building artfully renovated with so much to see and then our room...simply blown away. A bath in which we soaked away our cares and an amazing double rain shower. The bed was so comfortable and the included breakfast delicious. We will be back!

Absolutely nothing

A very unique and special place to stay. So many personal touches that make you feel at home, welcome and special. The decor is stunning and exquisitely finished. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet the host which I regret because I wanted to express my gratitude for the amount of time and effort that must be spent making the rooms and house immaculate, and for the extra touches like breakfast and free wine, tea and coffee. Please do yourself a favour and stay.

What a great place to stay, a bit like visiting a relatives home. Comfortable, inviting and "feel free to use...." atmosphere Right in the heart of the main street/tourist sites. Don't worry about that though. Morpeth goes quiet when the sun goes down. "So much serenity". We just walked everywhere. The car was snug in our off street under cover parking. Loved our room, big super comfy bed in a quiet heritage room. A great big bathroom with a hot overhead shower. The balcony overlooking the main street was another bonus. We had to be quiet during the day so we didn't wake the Tawny Frog Mouths roosting in the jacaranda right in front of us. The new manager was awesome and nothing was a problem. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

We didn't book an extra night to really unwind.

Loved the remote check in, took the pressure off confirming an arrival time as I wasn't sure how late into the night I would be. I absolutely loved the location - didn't make it to the included breakfast as got pulled away by the many nearby local eateries but I loved the convenience of the location, the free parking and the easy/private access to my super comfy loft. It was a very lovely and relaxing weekend escape! The communications in the lead up to check in were also incredibly helpful and informative.

I didn't encounter any staff which is totally fine but also a very unique experience I.e. staying outside in the loft meant I felt like abit of an intruder trying to access the main building and find the breakfast room, so a friendly face may have helped, but such a minor moment and did not detract from the experience at all!

We've now stayed at this property a few times (visting family), staying in 3 different rooms. The property and rooms are always clean and well-finished. All rooms are quite large and well-appointed. We'll continue to stay here when visiting the greater Maitland area. Our chosen breakfast was pre-packed for us to eat at our leisure on the balcony and was well-appointed and the quality was great.

The bath took a while to filll up!

Charm, details, comfort, aesthetic

I thought from the pictures that there would be working fire places in the room, or at least the common room. But it was not promised, i just assumed. Still gorgeous, and the room was warm enough, it was just my expectation for a cozy fire place. And i was sad to see so many closed businesses in Morpeth. But if you need to stay there, this is the place!

This is a beautiful quaint hotel set in an old home. I really enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was substantial. There is a common area downstairs with tea and coffee making facilities that are well equipped. I'd recommend it for a getaway night if you want somewhere with character.

The hot water ran out at the end of the shower but I had a long shower so it didn't bother me too much.

The room was large, but cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was hot and the pressure was good. The breakfast was great and good value for money. There was a flight of stairs to our room, but easy enough. There were rooms on the ground floor I believe. It was handy to all the necessary shops, especially the bakery.

All perfect.

Our room was on the ground floor and was a great size, so was the bathroom. Very neat and clean. The bed wasn't to our liking, but that is always a personal thing. Brekkie was great. left in the fridge with our room number on it. A great way to start the day. Loved the small touches of chocolates, tea and coffee and wine in the lounge too. We would stay here again.
