The staff were very friendly and approachable. Requests for extra towels and the iron were no problem, but it would have been wonderful to have a proper sized ironing board and a closer powerpoint to plug in the iron for a right-handed person. Either that or an extension cord. The lovely lady who does housekeeping cheerfully took away our dirty dishes and washed them, then brought them back. Many other places haven't replaced dishes and cutlery as expected. The globe in the lamp blew the first night and was replaced quickly the next day upon request.

The smoke alarm was not in place, its housing was above the wardrobe, but not the alarm. I imagine a battery check had been done and it had been forgotten to be put back up. The bathroom was super steamy for over an hour after a shower, meaning you needed to get dressed in the main room. The latch to open the window was all the way at the top. Not being 'vertically blessed', it was not possible to open the window. The young man at reception was very happy to open it 🙂

Refurbished room, family size, immaculately clean with quality linen and comfy beds. Everything worked perfectly, the TV, the larger than normal fridge - with family needs in mind, and the AC was cool and quiet. Despite being located beside a busy road, there was no traffic noise whatsoever. The parking for larger vehicles, including those with a trailer was excellent, with the carpark floodlit at night. Simple friendly check-in and check-out.

I would suggest a large sign indicating “Motel Entrance” or similar be placed at the entrance gate on Chisholm Road to aid guests as initially we thought there may have been an entrance from the New England Hwy.

The location opposite Maitland private was the reason we booked as we had my elderly mother there having surgery. The staff were excellent even changing the room from upstairs to floor level for our mother and were so apologetic about charging the extra $200 with no refund but it's up to the owners not the Manager to make that call.

Because of the public holiday there was no milk for the room we were asked to call in the next morning to get some (we just got our own). We did not know if our mother would need two or three nights stay in hospital depending on her condition so we had to book and pay for 3 we only stayed 2 nights, we didn't expect a full refund of $200 for the extra night but a partial would have helped us and our mother with the costs of being away from home.

The Bible is in the bedside table draw, Praise the Lord! Location, location, location here, anything they don't have you can get from Green Hills shops. Easy check-in & out on Christmas Day. Simple, nothing fancy, just how we like it.

A ceiling fan would be ideal to just circulate the air. When the aircon is off, the room can be a little stuffy at night when trying to sleep.

My trip involved travelling from Queensland to Central NSW, and I required a stop over location for my family. The Molly Morgan at Maitland is perfectly positioned for an overnight stay that breaks up my journey. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I have stayed at this location before and I had no hesitation to stay their again. There is a shopping mall about 1 km away with excellent eating facilities.

It’s a very cosy and comfortable home, also very well decorated. They were welcoming of our pets and we were provided with everything we needed inside! Beautiful bathroom with quality toiletries provided as well! Would definitely recommend! :)

That I couldn’t stay longer

Friendly staff, quality tea and coffee making facilities, plentiful real milk enough for 2 people (not just 2 x 18mil UHT offered elsewhere when being charged $218 / night) with an offer of "just ask if you need more", bottled water in the new fridge AND quality toilet paper! How nice. Not that cheap rubbish that is as thin as tissue paper and not up to the job. We were very happy with our stay.

It was convenient for our stay accessing Maitland. We also had a pub just up the road within walking distance which has great food

The jug had a funny tase after boiling, we only used bottled water and the taste was tainted from something in the jug. The cold water tap in the shower, had to be really tuned off tight to stop the water dripping

Pleasant staff, comfortable room, fantastic water pressure in the shower and nice and hot

Dirty big pothole in the driveway! Reading lights over the bed would be good and at least a small bedside table or even a shelf on the wardrobe side of the double bed.

friendly host at the front desk, she let me change rooms so i didn't have to drag my belongings up the stairs, the rooms are always very clean and nothing is a problem for the friendly staff, we will definitely keep coming to Molly Morgans :)
