We had a room with a private balcony bathtub that looked out over the sea which was absolutely beautiful. The buffet dinner and breakfast was excellent, so much choice and so many delicious things to eat. The location was simple enough to find as there was a bus stop directly outside which we used, but there were taxis available as well. The check-in and out were very smooth, staff told us lots of detail about our room. Futons were comfortable and set out whilst we were at dinner ready for our return. It was so peaceful and we both slept so well!

The highlight of this hotel is the buffet dinner, featuring free-flowing snow crab, fresh sashimi, and a variety of other delicious dishes. The breakfast is equally impressive, offering an overwhelming number of choices. A standout experience is enjoying the ocean view while relaxing in the private onsen, which adds a serene and luxurious touch.

The room lacks a cooling option, as it is fully heated, making it uncomfortably warm and sweaty after a private onsen session. Additionally, the futon was not very comfortable, resulting in a sleepless night.

The breakfast is one of the best I`ve ever had in 16 years in Japan. Worth to pay even just for that. Suggest the room with rotenburo.

The room was really old, with cracks in the walls, and the rotenburo tap was broken and totally dirty

The breakfast and dinner buffets were fantastic!! Staff also were exceptional and kind. The "big" onsen on the 7th floor is amazing and I loved the view from our room. The futon were more comfortable than other futons that ryoukans had provided

The onsen hours for women felt a tiny bit unfair, women could only use the nice onsen from 4am to 9:30am, and breakfast runs from 7am to 9:30, so you'd have to be good with time if you wanted to use the sauna and have the beautiful ocean view onsen. The men get to have it for all other hours...

The ocean view rooms with private onsen are really nice. We stayed one night there and one night in a city view room which was dated and didn’t have a private spa. While the city view room included access to the public onsen, having one in your room is so nice. The breakfast and dinner buffets are delicious with plenty of variety.

We really liked the property. It’s a short taxi from Hakodate airport and access is easy to downtown via bus or taxi.

Room is old and lack of maintenance Lack of amenities and attraction nearby , not much things to do around this area .

Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of different choices and even fresh chicken ramen, fresh sashimi and variety of fruits and yoghurt. Rooms were comfortable. Recommend ocean view for best view! Easy to get to from Hakodate on public transport although it does take a while so stay there as long as you can. Staff were very friendly and kindly helped organise a taxi to get to the train station in the early morning.

Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Highly recommend staying here if wanting an onsen onsite and good breakfast buffet.

The public bath onsen is superb Staff are helpful and attentive The foods are super delicious specially their dinner buffet with lots of choices… craving for seafoods satisfied!

The room temperature was hotter than a normal so i decided to take it off😅 but not a big issue for me.

The breakfast is fantastic.

The check out time is too early. Suggest to extend to 12pm instead. I wasn't informed about the additional onsen charges upfront. Only aware about it during check out. The room cleaning shld be done together with the futon setup.

Staff was welcoming , breakfast and dinner buffet were quite good with a large selection. The Onsen and spa products also very good.

Room and some general facilities are a bit dated and could use an upgrade
