Great location on the seafront and Ash allocated us a family room with a seaview on the ground floor which was excellent (we only booked a double). Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, continental breakfast plus freshly cooked eggs (or beans) to your liking and plenty of toast. Our hosts, Ash and his lovely wife, were charming, very attentive and nothing too much trouble. This is reflected in the amount of 'thank you' cards they receive and one arrived whilst we were there. Comfy beds and spotless white bedding & towels. Plenty of hot water and toiletries available. There was no on-site parking but plenty of options to park in a nearby carpark (£7 for 24 hours) or free on the seafront/local roads evenings/overnight.

There was nothing we didn't like. We were quite happy with the furnishings but some people would find them a little dated, perhaps some new pictures and more modern furnishings would enhance the lovely building and appeal to a wider market.

The trip was for over night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booking was very easy as the information contained on booking. Com had so much detail we could make an informed decision about staying . On arrival we were warmly greater by one of the owners. The checking in process was very easy and straight forward. The room had a sea view, it was so lovely, so well decorated with lovely amenenties. As Christians it was lovely to find a copy of the Gideons Bible. The Continental breakfast was very varied and was very nice. We could not make any complaints about our stay.

Every thing was excellent

Ash and his wife are absolutely lovely and incredibly welcoming. The sea view from our room was spectacular. The location was 1 min to the sea, 10 min to the city centre and 15 min to the train station.... on foot! We would definitely revisit.

Lots of stairs, I am disabled in one leg, the next morning Amina noticed my limp, Ash immediately offered to move us to ground floor. We declined, a slow walk up the stairs was worth it for the view.

When we arrived we were greeted with a very smiley face, he showed us to our overnight room, we found it to be very clean tidy and very comfortable. The location was just what we wanted right on the sea front. In the morning the breakfast was continental style and very nice. We have already booked up again to stay for 2 nights in October.

Every thing about this B&B there is nothing we found to dislike. Lovely place to stay. What we didn't like was to leave and go back home.

An ideal location, on the seafront and close to the passenger ferry for Starcross. The room was so much nicer than it appeared in the picture, with a homely feel but also a few quirky and exotic touches in the decor. The bed was supremely comfortable, I enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. The tasty and filling breakfast was freshly cooked, fresh fruit was also provided. What really makes this place though is the owners - such warm and genuine people, their welcome made me feel I was their most special guest!

The external bathroom, although supplied with a bath (my favourite!) was down a few steps from the room.

Such friendly people! a really warm welcome. It says 'only a continental breakfast' but in fact there's the offer of eggs and/or beans on toast! I didn't want it but enjoyed my usual fresh fruit, muesli and yogurt. Lovely to be just down the road from the marina and ferries and a good walk along to the RNLI lifeboat station with the bonus of watching an exercise launch

Am I allowed to say I'd like my coffee stronger? I should have asked...

We really liked our stay at the Ash. Brilliantly located for hikers on the SWCP, with great views of the water, and in a very interesting historic building. The proprietors were absolutely committed to seeing us comfortable and happy there, and gave me the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for them had we asked. All the breakfast you could want. Strongly recommend recommended.

Nothing. Except perhaps stronger coffee at breakfast. Otherwise brilliant.

Ash and his wife Amina were both really friendly and warm. They offered us advice on things to do or places to eat nearby. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for a day of exploring! The location is second to none, right on the seafront and looking out at the beach. The room was comfortable and is great value. We had a wonderful time in Exmouth celebrating my fiancé's birthday, and would happily return to Ash Hotel B&B. Thank you Ash and Amina for the lovely stay!

Excellent location and very peaceful. Comfortable bed with a high tog duvet meant I slept very well. The room was better than it looked in the photos and was kept nice and clean. The property is kept warm with the heating on which will be a bonus for many although I had to turn the radiator down and open the window as I prefer a cool room. The shower had excellent pressure which was a welcome surprise. Lovely hosts - it was a pleasure to stay here :)

Great location. Lovely couple who run the b&b, Ash is a lovely helpful owner. He happily upgraded us to a bigger room with a better view of the sea. Breakfast was good, we were already aware of no meat option but egg and beans on toast with all the continental options was enough. This wouldn’t be for everyone but if you’re looking for a good value for money b&b in a great location this is ideal. We will definitely return.

Nothing although my partner loves her tea and the china cups in the room are very small. Everything else was great!
