The distance from downtown. Please remember to drive back as the lack of drive sharing services in the area are lacking

I loved everything about the property. The idea that we were close to everything yet in a serene area full of nature and hidden from the business of city life. Less than 5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The Historic house built in the 1800’s was beautiful! The 5 different suites were wonderful and spacious!! The living & dining room was so relaxing. The owners Rasheed was awesome. The breakfast served each morning was beyond compare. Homemade blueberry waffles, apple crepes, home made granolas, yogurt & fresh fruit with cook to order omelets or eggs. Everything was served with love and a spirit of excellence! This place has become my #1 place to stay whenever I am in South Haven. Thank you Rasheed for excellent service & hospitality. I made a video of the Historic home but it could not upload.

There was nothing I did not like about the property.

The location was serene, calm, peaceful. But the best experience was the relationship that we encountered with the host. I always enjoy conversing with people and getting to understand what makes this world so unique. The time spent with our host and another guest is what made this weekend trip unique and memorable. The room is spotless. The bathroom had everything we needed. Breakfast with its French press coffee was delightful. The best part?...the hosts who opened their home and hearts to the guests. Welcome home everyone. This place is truly a hidden gem

The location of this bed-and-breakfast is perfect. It’s about a five minute drive to downtown Southhaven, which is the perfect distance away. You feel 1,000,000 miles from everywhere, but you are really right in the heart of it.Rashid, the owner, was truly one of the most hospitable and kind hosts that we’ve ever had. I cannot recommend him enough. The breakfast that we had each were incredible and the kindness in which he prepared everything was very evident. The history of the Monroe Manor is also extremely interesting that he shared with us both verbally and with pictures hanging in the home. The Internet was extremely fast if not the fastest we’ve ever had in a hotel. We simply cannot recommend the Monroe Manor in enough. It is a great value for the money and a supreme location for that entire area. Rashid also was kind enough to give us some recommendations for eating out, and they were also spot on an incredible. It is just a great place and a great host.

There was truly nothing to not like about this stay. Everything went so smoothly and the facilities are just so clean and nice. It is very fun.

The staff was very kind, he helped me carry my bags to the second floor. He had lots of knowledge about things to do in the area. The house and porch were very lovely. The music in the morning was also a nice touch.

The grounds needed some work. I think that the property would have been so much more beautiful if it was better taken care of. I also didn't care for only having one roll of toilette paper in the room when we came. We ran out in the middle of the night and couldn't get any until morning.

The mansion is well maintained and very clean. It is well preserved in its historic state, very scenic and beautiful grounds. The proprietor is a most gracious host, and very easy to strike up a conversation with. The fact that he discourages families with young children eliminates an opportunity for the serene quit to be disrupted. Above and beyond our expectations.

Loved all the details about the property. It was cozy and quiet- secluded from the downtown area of South Haven but so quick and close of a drive. Rasheed was an exceptional host and breakfast was so great!!

I have no issues with the property. My only request would be maybe a power strip to allow for more devices to plug in and charge together. But that’s really not a complaint.

Convenient to drive to and easy to find. Very Clean. Quiet and old world surrandings on the grounds. For the season we chose to come it was a little cool to enjoy the outside but the porch and firepit area was very inviting and we just enjoyed the area.

We are senior adults, for us it would have been better if room on the first floor and a regular shower. But this is a personal preference.

Breakfast was ok. The location was a little further from the beach/downtown than I was hoping but still easy and convenient location. The house was impressive and lovely. The bathroom/shower was great!

The pillows (I like softer pillows so it would be nice to have a variety.

Rashid was an excellent host. Rooms and historic home were lovely. The home cooked breakfast was delicious. Of all the B & B’s I’ve stayed at this was absolutely the best!

The only think that would have been better was if I had decided to stay 2 nights instead of just one.
