We stayed here to get an early start on the Kal Haven Trail which is very close by. This place is excellent!! I would stay here again in an instant if riding the trail again. We almost didn’t stay here because of the negative reviews, but it was about $50 less than everything around, so we decided to risk it, and we are so glad we did. The staff was professional and friendly; the facility was welcoming. Our room had everything we needed. I especially appreciated the freezer so I could refreeze my packs for our picnic the next day on the Kal Haven. We had a fantastic experience!

We stayed here to attend a wedding over in South Haven. The check-in staff was super nice & friendly. The check-in process was quick as well, which made things go quicker since we were kind of in a time-crunch. Once in the room, the heat worked perfectly fine + the bed was extremely comfortable. It was quiet during the night, which was a huge plus in our books! We especially enjoyed having walk-in access from the parking lot. Made things WAY easier when packing/unloading the car. Since we were here for a wedding, we never got a chance to view the pool area. If we are back in the area again for a wedding - we will certainly be back! We enjoyed this place a lot & would recommend it to budget travelers to stay. Great price & you get what you pay for! Thanks again.

Nothing we didn't like. This hotel was exactly what we expected for the price. It is not "luxury" by any means. But it was exactly what we needed it to be - so we have absolutely NO complaints, whatsoever! If anything, it would be more firm pillows. They had your classic "cheaper" end hotel pillows - but you get those even at luxury hotels. So again, not a complaint. We always bring our own pillows whenever we stay at a hotel - so no worries there.

It is very convenient to South Haven and store. Food close . Close to back road and highway to Holland MI. Information is awesome on arrival in seeing the sunset at South Haven!! Mattress was awesome!!

Needed a light above small table, we used a flash light. The tub was slick when entering and exit, a rail would had been nice.

The rooms had clearly been updated, so it was nicer than I expected for a motel. The bed was clean and comfortable. The staff were really nice and helpful.

As with most beach hotels and hotels in general, the carpet felt grimy. Everything else seemed clean.

This is a great place for a good price! My window looked out on a lovely lawn and mature tree. My suite was very clean, with new bathroom facilities. The bed was comfy and easy to fall asleep in. The staff was helpful and approachable.

I appreciated the efforts to update the suite. I assume the kitchen cook tops will be replaced in the future

Nice little place to stay and the indoor pool was so nice! And the breakfast that was offered was a nice treat that was unexpected.

Could have been a little more colorful on the outside with maybe flowers or something.

Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My only suggestion is that the WiFi needs to be upgraded. The signal was so weak that we had to use large amounts of our phone data. My wife also suggested that a mirror outside of the bathroom would be nice.

We stay at Great Lakes every time we go to Michigan. Or at least we try to if it's not booked already. We LOVE the location. Staying in the suites is my favorite but they were booked. It's not your upscale hotel but it has just what we need and want.

Everything was great and just what we expected! Staying here so many times we know what we are getting and what to expect.

It is an older property that is a little out of town. It is clean and affordable. Beds were comfortable too.

It was the middle of week, so very quite at this time. Indoor pool loked nice, didn't partake. All roms basically ground level, step up. Loved for our dog! And yes pet friendly..$15x whoopty... clean beds.

In 1st 8 rooms there is Windows above doors.... light right outside of rooms...shines in bright all night....
