We liked the upgrade opportunity for €10 to an excellent top floor front of house renovated room.

The breakfast in this hotel is poor. Cold hard boiled eggs. No fruit. No lemon for the tea. No tomatoes. No fresh fruit. Luke warm tea water. No toast or hot food.

Convenient location

Carpet was old and wrinkled. The curtains were not ironed. The curtains did not close properly so I had the street lights in the room constantly. Just made for a shabby atmosphere with paying full price for it. Venue charging for a night time cup of tea. Even two star places give you that for free. The locked safe box was on the bottom shelf. Had to ask staff to place it on a table so I can access it. Otherwise there would be older people lying on the floor to access safe. Okay if you are young and fit, but not with health issues or older people.

We paid for an upgrade to a bigger room - the room was spacious and newly decorated. It had a lovely balcony and was bright. The bed was really comfortable and generously sized. The bathroom was large and shower was excellent. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were very friendly and helpful

The front of the hotel is really disappointing and neglected looking which belies the lovely rooms inside. The reception and lifts could do with an upgrade. Tea making facilities or a small fridge would be an advantage.

the location was excellent for catching the train as just across the road, also just round the corner if you come out of your hotel and turn right there is a supermarket Carrfour. the hotel was on the 5th floor and even though we had the windows open as like fresh air there was little noise. i took earplugs but never needed them the shower was a lovely walk in and had plenty of room,

our pillows were on the harder side and the hotel didn't have any other choice. only a mirror in the bathroom so took longer to get ready. i did notice there was a full length mirror in another room so maybe they just forgot to hang one, room507.

We received a free upgrade to a completely renovated room, which was perfect – comfortable beds and pillows, silent air-condition, no noise from the street nor other rooms, electricity plugs above both bedside tables, stylish equipment that perfectly matched the genius loci of Strasbourg. The bathroom was also stylish and separated by a robust door. Everything was perfectly clean and still had the new smell. The staff was always friendly and helpful and working 24/7. Excellent location opposite the railway station and close to the city centre. There are a few small supermarkets, many restaurants, cafés and a McDonalds around. I love this place and would definitely choose it again! Thanks a lot! :-)

Arrived just after midnight and met with a very friendly welcoming receptionist in English. Extremely helpful and clear instructions. The same experience in the morning by another friendly and welcoming receptionist who assisted me. Breakfast was simple but enough. The room was large. The bathroom is spacious and modern.

The overall building needs refurbishment. Mostly cosmetic The use of Black as a colour for furniture and walls is overwhelming. It hides the beauty of many of the features. The building features are there to be presented.

Spacious room, great bed and very quiet. Super location 2 minutes from central train station. Shops, bakeries and sights close by. Breakfast was very good (eggs, yogurts, müsli, bread, cheese, ham etc – and scrumptious croissants!)

Some sort of plastic mattress protection sheet that made me sweat profusely. I missed a kettle and tea/coffee in the room.

The location was perfect, across from the train station but close enough to walk and see all the sights. The staff was nice and the room was beautiful and newly renovated. It was also very quiet.

I found out when I arrived that the hotel was undergoing renovations and the elevator was not running which normally wouldn't be a big issue except I was on the 5th floor. Someone carried my bag up for me but still, 5 floors is a lot of stairs. If I would have known in advance I probably would have changed hotels. I was only there for one night so minimized my time having to use the stairs.

Super location! Opposite the main train station. Until will arrive we have some thoughts because of some negative comments but when we arrived it was really nice. We have a free upgrade to a renovated room and everything was more than ok. The room was spacius, warm and clean with beautiful view of the station. The bed comfortable and we had every day clean service. The bathroom was beautiful, spacius, not so many amenities but with a super good hair dryer. We didn't take Breakfast at the hotel so we don't have an opinion about it. The staff was very polite and prompt. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Everything was perfect.

Location was excellent, right outside the main train station and easy reach of 3 different tram lines! Our room overlooked the main plaza outside the station but the windows blocked out most of the noise! Good sized room and bathroom with a great shower! Facilities were as advertised, staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was ok, a typical ‘continental breakfast’ I guess, tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be great, but they charge you for the use of the coffee machine in the breakfast room!

I have a personal complaint really. Sadly our parents were due to come with us and staying in a second room already paid, but couldn’t make it due to surgery being carried just before we left the UK. I realise we weren’t due a refund as I hadn’t selected this option when I booked the rooms. However, to then charge my wife and I for hot drinks and a breakfast when the hotel had been paid for a room we weren’t using was not fair.
