Located a short walk from the train station and also from the old town, this hotel is perfect for a short stay for a solo traveller who will spend most of the day exploring. Small, simple, yet cosy and clean room, with AC that works well in the room (which is hard to find in France and we had some very hot days so this was much needed!). Had a room facing the inside so it was super quiet. Also, the area is generally busy, so felt OK to walk back in the evening as well. The attached bar area also allows for somewhere to hang out outside of the room. Breakfast is basic yet affordable, thought Starbucks and bakeries are nearby to grab a coffee and croissant on your way to sightseeing. Overall, good value for the price.

For my trip, it was a good option but the room would be a bit small for a couple. Also, the room was a bit dark being in the inner side of the hotel but this made it stay cooler and be quiet for sleeping. Bathroom isn't huge, but it was very clean and functional.

Location is perfect! Close to the train station and all main attractions are within walking distance 👍 single room is small but has everything you need for couple of days - hair dryer, kettle, some tee and instant coffee with creamers. Heater works well, so it was pretty warm (given the winter). Everything is not brand new but in a decent condition. It was also clean enough. The staff is welcoming as well. I would stay again the next time ☺️ also worth mentioning that there are cafes, supermarkets and even Starbucks nearby.

No complains from my side. But worth mentioning that there is no iron in the room and storage for clothes is quite small (was not a problem for me though)

We booked Hotel Le Grillon for a short 2 night stay in Strasbourg and it proved to be an ideal base from which to explore the city, located around 5 minutes walk from the train station and around 10 minutes from the historic centre of Strasbourg. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hotel was good value for money, and we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient base without breaking the bank!

Family room for 3 people is very useful and big enough for everyone.Elevator goes the highest 3rd floor than you have to take the stairs. If you have big luggage like me you can call and tell receptionist what you need and they are soo helpful to make you happy. Location is perfect restaurants,market and especially Gare Strasbourg is just e few steps away. Also Petite france is walking distance. Breakfast is very varied you can have your fresh orange juice and everything is perfect.Wi-fi works perfect. Next time we will be there again for sure!!Thanks Hotel Grillon 😇

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. We had 4 bicycles with us and even though we had not announced this, they were allowed to be stored in the hotel storage room behind closed doors. The location is great. In a 15-minute walk we were right in the city center (in front of the beautiful cathedral). We were able to park the car in a garage in a 5-minute drive and a 10-minute walk away, where you, as a guest, receive a significant discount. The family room was super competitively priced for what you got in return. It was small but most important the room was very clean, tidy and the beds were good. The breakfast was great also. Very extensive for French standards. We were way too late and were still able to join. Thank you! Compared to the previous hotels we have stayed in in Strasbourg, this one really stood out. We will definitely come back again.

Location. Leaving the train station you will see a multi colored strip on the ground that crosses a circular plaza.Follow that strip and you'll be at the hotel in less than 15 minutes. After the strip ends you'll be on a pedestrian/bicycle path the hotel is on your left. it is a straight line from the station to the hotel. Room. Very comfortable. Flat screen tv, writing desk, space for your clothes.Great shower. Room is small but you have everything you need. Staff. English is spoken and they are helpful with questions or requests. Breakfast. 11 euros. You can't go wrong. Scrambled eggs, cold cereal, fruit, oranges for fresh squeezed juice, variety of bread, rolls, pastries cheese and savory. Small yogurts/applesauce 2 machines for coffee/tea. Bar is open until 3 am. Cost. Excellent value for what you get. My stay was 3 nights. Many kinds of shops as soon as you step out of hotel. including a grocery store. My room on the second floor was quiet with 2 big windows.

The room was renovated and very clean with comfortable beds. The location is really good. Only 250 m away from central train station and small enjoyable walking distance from all sightseeing. Very friendly staff :)

The garbage bin in the bathroom had no cover! It was just a basket! It should b a small covered garbage bin. Also i do think small fridges are essential in the rooms at least for having cold water! It s the first time i visited hotel without fridge in the room!!!

Staff was awesome. We had booked a double bed with a sofa and the staff changed our room to a double bed with two twin beds which are a lot more comfortable than sleeping on a sofa bed. They offered great recommendations for food and what to see in the area. Location is great to see all the great spots. Breakfast was awesome! Strasbourg in general is such a great place to visit and romantic as well for couples. We took our parents there and they loved it. The bar was nice to retire to at the end of the day and enjoy some local French beers.

Nothing. Great place. I say this to those who have never traveled in Europe before, the rooms in Europe are small and that's the way it is. However, we didn't go to Europe to stay in a room. We went to see Europe and the room is just a place to sleep and get cleaned up.

The breakfast was quite abundant for France. The location ist two blocks from the train station surrouned by some arabic stores but inspite of all very quiet. Neither traffic nor bar music noises. Perfect. I came very early and got an early check-in and also a late one. Nice and friendly personal in either english, french or german. Very glad surprised.

I could not operate the air conditioning. It was fixed. The glass roof on the restaurant could be cleaned. No chance to put your necessaire anywhere in the bathroom.

Down the street from the train station, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and shops. A few blocks from the main historic district and sights to see. A working lift - always appreciated - and an oddly shaped but good sized room with plenty of amenities. Friendly staff and a cozy pub attached. Nice breakfast atrium.

Yet another tiny bathroom with a toilet under an oversized sink and a misplaced shelf directly above it.
