Reception staff polite and helpful. Room not cluttered. Very quiet- couldn’t hear anything outside of the room.

A few black spots in the shower. Not much room for personal items in the shower. In room heating gave us both the sniffles. Breakfast was probably the worst we’ve had in any hotel stay- lots of variety but hot food tasteless. Lacked quality considering the price. Cold waffles. Pale sausages. No extras- dressing gown, slippers, water which were offered at other places we’ve been to at a similar price point in Central London.

I liked the fact that I was close to Kingston station, the key bus stops I needed and the shopping and restaurant areas. Plus walking along the river was lovely. I only ate breakfast in the hotel once and it was ok. My room was spacious and clean and had a good working surface for my laptop.

There was a very noisy group in the rooms around me - who had loud conversations, and slammed doors repeatedly till quite late at night. They also ordered from UberEats most days and left smelly packages of half-eaten food in the passage outside their doors. I complained once to the reception desk who I think asked the group to quieten down, but I didn't feel I should have to complain repeatedly.

I really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton London Kingston upon Thames. The location was perfect, right in the downtown area, which made it very convenient — we didn’t even need transportation during our 3-night stay. Everything was within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, adding to the overall great experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free and pleasant stay in Kingston.

There were no bathrobes or slippers provided in the room, which was a bit disappointing, but overall it didn’t affect the stay much.

The hotel was well situated for our needs. Our room was clean and well stocked. I liked that toiletries were provided, but we really did NOT like the scent, so we chose not to use them. . The hairdryer was a salon style but the curly cord makes it difficult to use.

The room was extremely hot on our arrival as the sun had been streaming in all day. The air-conditioning didn't work, so it took 3 days for the room to cool, keeping the curtains closed. We did mention this on our departure. The toiletries smell awful, something fresh would be better.

Location - near the river and close to station for regular trains to London and Wimbledon. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice bar area & good quality breakfast.

Fairly basic furnishings in the room - no mini bar or fridge. Most of the hotel is covered in scaffolding, luckily our room was on the other side. It would have been good to have been warned about this in advance. The scaffolders were working during the day which didn’t bother us as we were out all day but not so good if you wanted a lie in or a siesta!

I loved the location. Kingston is a very nice town and I enjoyed visiting Richmond deer park and the Hampton Court Palace. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment as well as London proper. We purchased the London Transit, day Travel Card for 16# and rode the train to Waterloo station which provided access to all of London via Underground at no additional charge. Train access is also simple to both LGW and Heathrow. The Hawkers Brasserie restaurant at the hotel was very good and seemed to do a large % of take out food deliveries, which confirmed our assessment of the quality. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to London.

Heating system could not keep up with the demand from the near freezing temperatures during our visit, but the staff provided supplemental space heaters to assist with the situation.

Everything was as good as the previous times we have stayed but to rate as perfection can cause complacency by removing the goal of improvement. We entertained guests in restaurant on Saturday night and got very good feedback!!

The breakfast could have been warmer together with the plates. There was a logjam at the toaster which was completely inefficient needing at least two passes to little more than warm the bread. Batches of “domestict” toasters that they had at the Antoinet were better but I must prefer waitress (oops sorry must respect the alter of wokism )served toast and beverages at buffet breakfast.

We were so glad we stayed at this hotel rather than an airport hotel so we were able to visit with our daughter longer before heading home. Our room was comfortable and the staff person who checked us in was warm and welcoming. I was so happy she mentioned the restaurant. The additional price for breakfast was well worth it; there were plenty of options with warm plates to choose from.

Next time, I will ask for a room on the other side because I could hear noise from the street especially loud motorcycles; I am a light sleeper so I do like a very quiet room. Please offer gluten free bread or gluten free pastries for the breakfast choices. :) Most of the staff were friendly and warm but one was a bit odd when I checked out and let a staff person know that we really enjoyed the breakfast, the other staff person who was standing nearby gave me an odd look and almost rolled her eyes. That was a strange attitude.

Staff were great, friendly, and polite. The hotel throughout was very clean, including the restaurant. The location is excellent for town and the transport links. Air conditioning is a great addition with recent hot and humid weather.

Should provide bottled water in the rooms. Restaurant food is average and some things are on the expensive side. Especially a small cola bottle at £5. Anti slip in baths for showers are not the greatest. Luckily, they have handles on the wall above the bath. Could easily slip.

very comfortable, quiet rooms. exceptionally nice and helpful staff throughout. Kudos to Archie and the restaurant team. Very good food and service. Very helpful Reception staff! Great location too. 5 min walk to Kingston Rail Station (direct to Waterloo and Vauxhall). 6 min walk to Cromwell Road Bus Station (which has excellent signage and wait areas). plenty of shopping opportunities and River walk with many restaurant and pub options, plus walking paths. Easy to get to Hampton Court Palace by the 411 bus line.
