The room was updated, clean and comfortable! The ocean-facing rooms had chairs for each room on a shared porch, which was nice. My room was steps from the ocean, and the location was amazing as it was directly next to the Nags Head Pier, which has a restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Parking was crazy. Twice, there were no parking spaces left, and I had to park at the pier next door. That wasn't too bad, but clearly, the parking rules of only having 1 car per room were not being enforced. I do not think anyone could be towed, regardless, because the parking lot is so narrow. This is by far my biggest complaint about my stay.

Our room was very clean, comfortable and just steps away for the beach. It was a tremendous value for the money. In particular our bed and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom was small but stylish and one of my favorite things about the room. We used the coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator. All worked great. Check in was a breeze. The parking lot can be a little cramped in the back but were were always able to park close to our room. There is a very nice restaurant next door at the pier. I can vouch for the breakfast.

The air conditioner was a little noisy, but not so much that I bothered to take the time to adjust the settings to make it quieter.

Our room was 211, on the top right corner facing the pool. It was a cozy little apartment for our family of 2 adults and 5 children. There was a living room area with a couch that pulls out into a bed, a big table, chairs, and a nice kitchen space. The 2 bedrooms were cozy with king sized beds. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and even some dishes in the cabinets. We really enjoyed the advantage of having a corner room with extra windows and a view of the Nags Head area. We couldn't see the beach from our room but it was only a short walk to the access point behind the Colonial Inn. We would love to stay at the Colonial Inn again in the future!

It was a nice room. This is an older Hotel. The room and bathroom were small but we had plenty of space to move comfortably with our luggage. The room had a bed, table and chairs, mini fridge, microwave and kuerig style coffee pot. The room was cool and clean. It was a good experience and we would stay here again.

The parking lot is very small and it hard to get around in. There is not a lot that can be done about it due to the original set up and layout of the buildings. Just have to take your time and be careful coming and going.

This inn is right next to the beach for the easiest access! The rooms were nice and big and there was so much space for us to move around. The windows also let in so much light! They supplied utensils and some cups so we didn't have to acquire all that. The shower was nice and roomy and all the closets had multiple hangers. The staff was also super helpful for any questions we had. My daughter loved the pool the most and could've stayed there all week. We will definitely be back!

We are definitely being nitpicky here but maybe newer cooking items (Teflon and scratched pans are scary) and better mattresses. We bring our own mattress toppers every time we go for all our beds. Also- the fridge kept shocking my partner. I don't know what he was doing exactly but since there wasn't so much shelving to put all of our kitchen items, we had to put some on top of the refrigerator. when he would reach to grab something, he would get shocked. almost every time.

Location is great. Right next to Nags Head pier. Friendly staff. Pet friendly. Keurig in room. Pots & pans, plates, dishes, cups, bowls. Full refrigerator. Microwave. Small electric stove. Hairdryer under sink in bathroom.

Thought there was daily maid service. Exchanged towels by leaving them outside door. Emptied our own trash twice in the week. Swept my own floor to keep up with the sand. I didn’t ask about maid service so maybe it was my misunderstanding but I was fine with just getting clean towels in a bag they left outside my room. No one has to come in my room so that was the upside of that.

Everything was great. Room was nice and big. I would definitely stay there again.

My only complaints were (minor)...website said blow dryer was included and there wasn't one...I didn't pack mine. Gates required two hands to open...one to pull knob up and one to pull door open...hard to do if your hands are full of luggage, which mine were because I hate making multiple trips to vehicle. Unfortunately they are closed in the off season. I wanted to come back the first weekend in November but was told they would be closed until next year. So I will have to find somewhere else to stay. Lastly, in the evening we wanted to sit on this nice deck that overlooks the beach but it was pitch dark up there...o lights whatsoever. We ended up sitting on the beach over by the pier restaurant that was lit

Beautiful pool and great location to the beach. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Bed was comfy and the kitchenette was a great thing. Nicely stocked kitchen with everything to make a meal. Not food but utensils wise. Plenty of parking. Close to many of the sights you may want to see. The front desk area had little things for you if you forgot something. I liked the sign in the kitchen encouraging people to clean up after themselves. The good with the bad overall a nice spot.

The room was similar to the online photo but not the same room.however the bathroom had mold around the entrance to it. The room smelled like mold and mildew. I had to buy a plug in and febreeze. You could see the paneling buckling because of the dampness in the room. The floors always felt moist. AC needs a cleaning, behind the tv very dusty top of fridge dusty. Plate in microwave was not proper so it did not turn.

This is a very retro place and I liked it. My room was very comfortable, everything worked, nothing leaked. Linens on bed were new and comfy. Extra towels and coffee available at the front desk. A great place to rest after a beach day. I lost my key and used the self service kiosk to-talk to the nice girl on the video screen who processed me a replacement key that popped out of the slot in the kiosk. Very cool. They give you a broom to sweep any sand you might track in. Furniture outside the door for relaxing outside at the end of the day was a nice touch.

Thin towels. Noisy AC but it provided white noise to sleep to. Tight parking but the lot was never that full.
