We stayed on the ground level room. When we walked out of the back door, you step on sand. You have to walk about 1 minute to get to the actual beach. This is a typical beach motel. I do not understand why others gave it a bad review. You know that when you are booking this, that it is a beach motel. So, if you are looking to stay directly on the beach and understand that it is a beach motel, you will love it!

I wish they had bigger beds. We had room 1 ground level and it had two double beds. It was a little too small for two adults in the bed. The room is spacious enough for two queen beds, or at least one queen and on double bed,

This was our second stay here and we enjoyed it. The renovated rooms were very nice. The beds were super comfy and the location is very convenient. Were stayed in a poolside room but the beach was just a short walk away. We will be booking again soon.

Bathroom did not have much storage space, I like to unpack and there were no shelves in the bathroom to put items. Water pressure was okay and got very, very hot.

Location was wonderful - oceanfront , close to restaurants and shops. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchenette. Older motel but updated in the last couple years.

Exterior of building could be given some attention - a coat of paint would go a long way. The room felt slightly damp but that was more the fault of Tropical Storm Debby. Worst thing was not the fault of the motel - massive party house has been built next door and those residents felt the need to play their outdoor speakers very loudly until the early morning hours

Older but pretty nice overall

Mostly the craftsmanship from the remodel. Horrible finish work Baseboards primer only then seams chalked and no paint over it makes the baseboards nasty looking and it’s a very simple fix. Can’t believe that they paid whoever done the work without painting and filling hole. Don’t get me wrong I would stay there again but come on people visual is as important as cleanliness

Great location that offers many activities. One of the cleanest rooms ever, not fancy but very comfortable. Staff was friendly and were great about communication. Walking straight out of the room onto the sand and beach a great plus

Maintenance was being done during our stay that required outside workers to have access to our room multiple times. Management was very sympathetic to the issues.

Nice view, great room, very clean, right at the beach! I think it was recently renovated. Great value. We liked the room very much. Beds were comfy, everything was clean, the kitchenette very convenient for families. Cleaning Staff, kind and diligent. We are definitely coming back. We had a great stay and we look forward to come back next year.

Hope the property hire a sand cleaning team. My kid with his toy metal detector found sharp objects in the sand. Nails, rusted screws, cans, etc. Anyone, specially kids can hurt themselves just walking or playing.

Beach front views and beach not heavily populated during our stay at the end of Oct. Our room was on bottom and you can walk out 3 steps to sand. Big sand dune in front of bottom level rooms. Ocean front top level can see beach from rooms. All rooms have outdoor chairs and tables outside in front of rooms. Sun rises are the best! The weather happened to be in 70s and 80s during our stay. Kitchenette and fridge are awesome to have. Room has all dishes you need for cooking and eating. Cute place mins from many restaurants and cool shopping spots (must visit Sea Green Gallery for super unique gifts). A lot of places were closed for off season, but many are still open until Nov or Dec. Will definitely go back and stay here. Bring your beach chairs and umbrella.

Bottom level ocean front has big dune in front of rooms that blocks beach view. But only a few steps up dune to get to see beach, so not exactly bad. You can hear waves crashing at night. Nice.

We took our boys age 7 & 10 to their first Outer Banks vacation and the room we had was perfect and BIG! We could walk right out our door straight to the beach! We were able to just put our trash and dirty towels outside and get fresh towels every day which was very convenient for us. We loved it! The staff was super nice also! We would definitely stay again!

The location was amazing! Right on the beach so no worries of finding parking at public beach access points. Both the pizza place and Millers across the street had awesome food and great service.

The hill to the beach was a bit more than you would expect from the pictures. The room was great but the beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was on the smaller side with awful water pressure.

Location. Despite the cool weather, we were able to see the beach & ocean directly from our room window. A walk on the beach was easy without any travel to it.

Flies. Not sure if flies are normal as there was a fly swatter in the room but there were at least 20 flies in the room upon arrival. The front windows do not open so we were unable to open to hear the ocean waves.
