The staff was top-notch! I reached out four or five times before arrived and received professional and friendly service every time. Apparently, they noted the communication because upon arrival there was a mix-up that they were quickly able to remedy. The room was delightful! Huge TV, the fridge was great -the freezer truly froze stuff! The heater/AC worked well and quickly. The bathroom was well and comfortably stocked. Nice size closet, too. One of the absolute best things was that we stayed in a room that faced the sand dunes -which had a large deck out the back door and two plastic chairs to relax and listen to the ocean. Bonus: there was a large deck that overlooked the ocean, maybe 20ft x 12ft, that had many Adirondak and other chairs to sit on -also, a few high tables to put drinks on. This was the first time I have traveled with a pet, but it will not be my last! We had a Great Pyrenees that had a blast! The on-site dog park was a surprise we loved. The wooden fence was about 3ft tall, but was sturdy and well-kept, with a concrete bench to sit on. This allowed our dog to run off-leash multiple times a day for extended periods of time alone! There were other dogs at the hotel, but somehow no one came at the same time we were there over the four days we visited =) The breakfasts were nice, too. Lots of scrambled eggs, bagels, waffles, and either sausage patties or bacon, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, and tea. The on-site Grill was amazing! Their chicken tenders and onion rings were delicious!

What didn't we like? The tub was slow draining -but we called and within 15mins a repair man came up and fixed it!! And we didn't like having to leave -giggling! But that wasn't their fault! We will gladly return -and happily recommend this hotel to anyone we can.

Checking in at the counter was a breeze. The front desk greeted us and gave us good customer service to me and my daughter.

Once checked in my room - not realizing my door did not lock. I did put the latch on it. The next morning when I was going to get breakfast is when I realized the door did not lock. I stopped at the front desk and reported the situation. The maintenance guy was there and before I could get back to my room he was behind me. He checked the problem and said he will come back. I left my room to go shopping and when I returned - my door was fixed. I didn't like that my door could not be locked but I was thankful that it was fixed with a remarkable maintenance guy.

2 "maintenance issues": Bathroom exhaust fan ran 24 hrs; Cold air blew in from around wall mounted HVAC unit. Fan may be because of location (Salty/humid oceanfront) and was solved by closing the door. The leak at HVAC unit I covered with a towel but it caused the unit to run excessively. This created an unbalance in room heating. Neither one was reported to management as they were not significant enough to me to bother. The hotel is +50 years old and I'm sure the wall unit has been replaced at some time. The leak would not be an issue in the summer.

The staff was very nice and helpful. When we made the reservation on Booking.com, it didn't have a place to put where we needed a pet friendly room, although I put in pet friendly hotels. The sweet lady at the front desk when we arrived upgraded us to a pet friendly room. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

There wasn't anything to complain about. The only issue really was that the past guests in our room had dropped grapes on the patio, which were not cleaned up, and we have dogs, and they can not eat grapes. I had to clean up the grapes so my dogs wouldn't eat them. But that is the only issue we had.

Everything on our stay went well. Staff was polite and accommodating. Property was clean and well maintained despite being an older building. We didn't swim but pool was clear and not cloudy. Beach access was nice, and breakfast was good. Only thing that would have been an improvement would be a lower price, but we understand that it is peak season and demand for rooms is high. Have stayed there before and will likely again next time we go the outer banks.

Breakfast was really good. It include scrambled eggs (real eggs, not powdered), sausage and bacon. You could also make your own fresh waffle. Also cereal, yogurt and coffee were available. The bed and bedding were VERY comfortable! Loved the pillows!

The hotel is a bit dated. The bathroom door in our room didn't close easily and had to be forcibly shut each time. Some areas in the hallways could have been cleaner.

Breakfast was hot and fresh. My small boys loved the mini waffles. Everyone on staff was friendly and seemed in a good mood not pissed off at the presence of guests and kids. Breakfast attendants were especially great.

The area around the HVAC unit in the room needed a handyman to seal it properly- just a piece of wood unfastened trying to block hot air from outside getting in. Also the outlet strip in room was corroded.

Location is perfect. The room was good enough gor an Inn but I still ecpect to see more. I am on a road trip tje lsdt 6wkd and have stayed at a different place almost every night for 6 wks. Sll motels hotels inns are very expensive since Covid. I wish these places could be updated on a regular basis there is too much wear and tear. Comfort inn sre good across the statef I have traveled. The breakfast however at this one is quite miserable.

We loved all. It's a beautiful place, and we hope to return. We ate dinner at the bar and gill inside the hotel. Joe, was our server. He was great, very friendly, and very thorough on making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Tell Joe hello from TENNESSEE.

No biscuits and gravy... AND.. I had to kill a roach in the bathroom. Other than that, it was GREAT!

Apparently it’s okay to smoke marijuana in the rooms or on the balcony. We were on the third floor and had family on the fourth floor and you could smell it as soon as you opened the door or came off the elevator. My daughter had her 4 month old son with her and we don’t want him breathing that.
