Room was clean, bed was comfy, linens were very nice. Laura at the front desk was very helpful as far as making sure we had a room that was easily accessible for us as my Wife had recently undergone foot surgery. Breakfast was tasty and hot and April did a fine job of making sure everything was well stocked, even toward the end of the breakfast serving hours (we were late risers).

My only regret is parking near the grassy picnic area as my newly washed truck was sprayed by an errant sprinkler head. Luckily the items I had in the truck bed survived the spray. I mentioned this to Laura and she responded that she would address the issue with their landscaping company.

Very nice two bedroom apartment like room which worked well for a family of four plus Grandma. Hotel is obviously an older hotel, but has been renovated very nicely. Everything was very clean and well decorated. Breakfast was good and more than just muffins... cheese egg omelets, sausage gravy biscuits, fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins... Staff were all very nice. Great location. Beachfront. I would absolutely stay here again.

The cooking items in the kitchen were too sparse... we needed more pots and pans, cutting knives, spatulas, etc. The serving dishware was fine, tho. And I only mention this because it was like an apartment... reserved because it had a kitchen. It was a very minor inconvenience and we were able to cook dinner and make do with what we had.

When booking this room, there was nothing that led me to believe this wasn't ocean front...meaning you could see the ocean from the "sea view/ oceanfront" room we chose. We were disappointed to discover the room was across the parking lot and behind a dune. Yes, it FACED the ocean and you MIGHT be able to see the water from the second floor. But this was not what most would consider "oceanfront". The gentleman working the desk understood my disappointment and, without hesitation, looked for something that would get us closer to the water. Without a cost increase, he gave us a room in the side building, which afforded a much better view of the sea. Even better, this room had TWO rooms and a full kitchen. It is so hard to find customer service like this. It was like going back in time. It's so rare to be treated like your happiness matters. Thank you for your kindness, patience and customer service!

The description is a bit misleading, if you choose to stay in a room that offers a sea view/ocean front. The exterior of the building and the stairs need some serious attention. The interior of the room we stayed in was clean and updated though!

The location and access to the beach was excellent

The hotel is under renovation but everything was very neat and clean. We had a newly renovated room with an ocean view. The only concern I had was that we were on the 2nd level and there is no elevator in that building. Being in my 70’s carrying a suitcase up to the room was a bit difficult but I managed. Also the bathroom is very tiny. Not much room to move around. Thankfully the sink was on the other side of the door. There are also chairs outside the door to sit with a cold drink or morning coffee and watch the ocean. Laura checked us in and was very pleasant.

I spent five nights and four days at the Mariner Inn & Suites the last week of May and had an absolutely wonderful time! The location was fantastic, not on the main highway so quiet, but relatively close to restaurants, shops, and activities. But the best thing is that it's right on the beach! It was literally a minute walk from my room directly to the beach (and I wasn't in an oceanfront room)! It was lovely to sit in the Adirondack chairs on the porch outside the room and enjoy the breeze and listen to the ocean waves. The queen suite was a nice size -- small living room with an efficiency kitchen, full bathroom with tub and shower, and a nice-sized bedroom with a queen bed plus TVs in both the living room and bedroom. Central, personally controlled air conditioning/heating kept the whole suite at a very comfortable temperature. They even provided a broom and dustpan to sweep up any sand carried in from the beach. The pool was located just across the driveway from my room. It was plenty large, had easy steps in and out, and depths ranging from 4 to 6 feet. The free breakfast each day was very tasty and provided a good choice of both hot and cold items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again!

Although the room was fairly quiet, there was a locked connecting door between my living room area and the room next door. There was no soundproofing in that door, so I could hear conversations from the other room very clearly through it. It would be great if that door could be soundproofed somehow.

We stayed 4 nights in a queen 2 bedroom suite, with a mini kitchen on the second floor. The view of the ocean was great. Every morning, I went and watched the sunrise absolutely beautiful and loved the sounds of the ocean. We were steps away from the beach. The room was clean and had what we needed to cook. The hot breakfast was very good. The hostess at the breakfast buffet was very sweet and helpful. She also took good care of the buffet. The front desk employees are so wonderful and helpful. Housekeeping was also very nice. The whole staff were very welcoming and always acknowledged you when you were on the property with a hello. I will return to the. Mariner Inn and Suites, next time I visit the Outerbanks NC

Have no complaints at all. Great place to stsy

The location is very close to the beach, and there is easy access. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast offered eggs and sausage, as well as a variety of bread and cereal and oatmeal. Coffee was complimentary in the room, which offered a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The beds were adequate, but not the best.

The bathroom was a very small. There are no elevators. The TV was very small and didn't offer cable networks. Most of our viewing had to be streaming, and the TV frequently was interrupted by buffering, which was very annoying.

We stayed in the double suite, it was very roomy, it's been updated. It has a small bar with a mini fridge and microwave and single coffee pot. Lots of space. It was a double room so it also had a love seat in the living area. Was clean and right on the beach. They have grills and picnic tables outside so we cooked out for our Easter dinner which was very nice.They are pet friendly also. I enjoyed staying there and would stay again.

The beds are new but stiff, and the breakfast was average hotel breakfast which is ok to save some money. The room was big which is a plus but the TV was small for the bigger rooms.

Nice clean room, walking distance to the beach, pool, quiet area( when I stayed, I am not familiar with the area) friendly and courteous staff. The bed was comfortable all the appliances worked ( mini fridge microwave coffee pot) the linens were clean. Very close to a grocery store and strip mall that had restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property and will be using the property again in the future. **The pool has a blocked off 2 ft section perfect for small children.

The bathroom is small. But definitely nothing so inconvenient that it bothered any of us. The pool is nice however I wasn't a fan of how it was set up. When you walk in from the stairs you are almost immediately in the 5 ft. The 6-foot part of the pool is separated by a Bouy line but the four foot section is to the right of the six feet and the 5 ft is to the left of the six feet. If you are on a family trip with older children who are able to swim this shouldn't bother you however I do have a small child and it was a little nerve-racking for him to be able to be in the 4ft section of the pool so close to the six feet section of the pool with no separation. - This still would not deter me from booking a room again. The motel is very nice.
