I have to admit that I was a little worried about staying in this older motel, just due to the age. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door! It had been renovated. Super clean and bright. Plenty of room and a kitchenette. Dont expect any frills, but they are not needed. No ice machine or vending machines, and thats fine. The gentleman in the office (I assume the owner) was very friendly. Easy check in. Pet friendly is a plus! Great location.

The only issue was very low water pressure in the shower. But water was hot. Not a big deal.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment. It was adequate for our family for a short stay. Inside living space and kitchen is very small but usable. Beds were ok. Very short walk to the beach (access trail basically across the street). Google Maps will take you to Target, not the motel, so make sure you look at the actual map to get there. Close to Wright Brothers Memorial and lots of shops and restaurants if that's your thing.

Bed duvets and pillow shams look a little dingy; could use an update. Neighbors were loud and there were bright lights outside windows. Oven handle looked about ready to fall off, but the stove and refrigerator worked fine. We had no problem, but I imagine parking is tight when it's busier. If the doors to bedrooms are shut, it will get pretty warm in there since the A/C really only cools the main room. The one bedroom door wouldn't stay open without something propping it. No place to walk pets around really other than the beach (which was fine for us).

This place was perfect for our quick little family getaway. It's noticeably older and could use some updating, but that doesn't matter to us. It was reminiscent of fishing cabins we've stayed in for years. It was a quick little walk to a beautiful and uncrowded beach, right around the corner from groceries, and a short drive to restaurants and shopping. Couldn't have been happier.

If you need bougie amenities, this isn't the place for you.

Clean hotel. Easy check in. Comfy beds. I stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it had everything you needed.

Parking was very tight. And parking in front of your place was not assigned like it should. We had to park elsewhere because the parking was packed. We were unfortunately next to people that partied all night long and were Rudy and rude, not much sleep two out of the three days we stayed, but that’s not the owners fault.

We had a very tight timeline, coming in for a wedding and needed to be into our room before the 4pm check-in. The management was so helpful and accommodating, working quickly to get us into our room so that we could prepare ourselves for the wedding. The suite we had with two rooms was adorably decorated, clean, and appointed with everything we needed. There were ample complimentary soaps and coffee-making supplies.

If we had had the time, we would have made our way to the beach located directly across the street. The hotel is perfectly situated along Virginia Dare Trail. I would definitely make a return visit here! would give our stay a 10 out of 10 except that the air conditioning struggled a bit to make it to the back bedroom. Knowing this, the hotel staff had already supplied a small fan, which we placed in the main room, direction the air back towards our bedroom. Doing this honestly kept the room quite comfortable through the night.

Great location with beach access just block down the road. Quintessential Outer Banks motel. Nice bathroom and shower. Great lighting for security at night. Green area with pickup bags for the dogs. The Jolly Roger restaurant is within walking distance.

Good for two personal stay. Rooms were a little small. I room with a bed in the middle an approx 4 feet to either side and at the foot of the bed.

The convenience of the location food, fishing pier everything close or walking distance the room was comfortable and the Gentleman at the front desk was very warm and welcoming and very professional and listened to my experience the night before and made sure that I got in my room with no issues to get the needed sleep and my neighbors were awesome the room was clean smelled inviting the bed was so comfortable I felt lol me I slept for 40 days and 40 nights..lol love the place I will be returning

The location of the hotel was great! Only a few houses down and across the street was beach access. The beach throughout the entire week (July) was not too busy. It felt very private. The room was extremely clean. The bathroom, though small, functioned well. We utilized the front porch a lot which had two chairs and a railing to dry our towels. It might have been that we had quieter neighbors, but we were not bothered by sound despite how close together each of our rooms were. We appreciated that at the end of our stay our car was parked right outside our door for an easy pack up!

The room is very compact. We didn't mind it, but the walking space between the bed and bathroom area was only big enough for one of us to pass at a time. The AC hummed loudly every time it restarted, so I wouldn't recommend the stay if you are a sensitive sleeper.

We loved the old school style motel - don’t let the exterior fool you, the rooms are very nicely renovated. They are small, but seem spacious. The staff was very nice and check-in/out was simple. The place is close to everything. And the price can’t be beat!

Parking was a little tight - but one is able to park right in front of the room.

Best beds, i slept great. It is pet friendly, close to the beach and restaurants, owner and his sister were very helpful and accommodating allowing us to check in early and clean our rooms first. The rooms were very clean and there is a lot of parking. Very nice quaint simple stay. There is a vending machine for soda, and a wash off shower.

One bed rooms are TINY. I mean TINY. those rooms should be priced very cheap. I know they cannot change the room size but man they are tiny. It would be okay with no dog, but if you have a dog upgrade if your staying more than 2 nights. An ice machine would be nice to. Also, a pool would have been nice, but i know that is something they cannot change.
