We give our stay at Travelodge by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills NC a Thumbs Up 👍 / 4 Star Rating. The location was perfect .. The beach was directly across the street (20 steps) .. The room was clean, plenty of linen, large bar of dove soap 🧼, working refrigerator, a/c unit blew cold air, the balcony was clean with two chairs and table, working iron & board, bathroom was very clean .. although they do not provide continental breakfast .. The lobby was well stocked with a hot coffee bar 24/7, bottled waters, breakfast bars (nutragrain), a juice bar machine (apple juice & orange juice) . The staff members were very friendly and professional (front desk and housekeeping). The only downfall was the carpet, it needs replacing. Our stay was from July 17th thru July 20th 2025. Room was great, pool was great, beach access was great!

The breakfast. We had a softball team including parents and we were hoping for a good hardy breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh waffles, etc. however, that was not an option so a few kids ate the breakfast however, most got breakfast stuff from the vending machines or went somewhere before the first softball game to eat.

Separate sink area. Housekeeping and staff very pleasant and helpful. Pool, elevators and common halls kept clean.

Cannot emphasize enough, DO NOT LIKE OUTSOURCED CHECKIN KIOSK**** If the staff was not as nice as they were, that alone would keep me from coming back or referring anyone. Like to physically see the person I'm checking in and paying my hard earned dollars for a vacation. Language was an issue, nice person BUT NOT THERE at the location and couldn't ask about the area to enhance our trip either.

Staff was super friendly, location was great, just across the street from the beach, had a balcony!. Definitely recommend the oceanside rooms for the view. Rooms were immaculately clean. We were able to get fresh towels whenever we needed them, including for pool use. Paid less here than the oceanfront hotels I've stayed in before and I will definitely be coming back. No sand in the rooms or hallways and the short walk to the beach was worth the extra money I saved. The pool was beautiful as well, clean, well maintained, nice size, wasn't overcrowded. We really enjoyed staying here.

This hotel does not offer breakfast. We had a lot of trouble with our wireless keys.

Our balcony was ocean view. Didn't have to cross heavy traffic to get to beach. Staff always friendly. Hotel very clean.....all times of day/night. Free coffee and juice in the lobby always :)

The location was perfect for me. Close to the beach, and close enough to good restaurants I could walk to.

The pool looked cloudy… I couldn’t see the bottom. They promised fresh fruit in the morning. I only saw it one morning.

We had a first floor, pool view room and I liked how easy it was to get to the pool area. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were very nice.

The walls are thin and we could hear quite a bit from the room next door. Not much water pressure in the shower. The continental breakfast was a nice thought, but the fruit was on the verge of going bad, and my husband found a bug in his coffee.

Convenient location with view of ocean. Nice to have fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. We used them all! Beds and room were clean. Nice carpet. Whole building appeared to have been freshly painted. Plenty of parking. Very friendly and social front desk staff.

There was the cap to a razor and something brown, like a bead, on the bathroom floor by the bottom of the toilet. So you knew the floor hadn't been swept/mopped thoroughly. There was a smear on the inside bottom door frame of shower/toilet room, that appeared to be blood. Elevator, hallways smelled like pool chlorine.

Older but decent, nice pool, breakfast was good and nice location

Business office computer was out dated and internet was slow. It could have been due to the storm (Debby) but also we were trying to watch the Olympics in the morning but tv kept going in and out (spectrum).

Close to beach, we were on the third floor so we had a nice partial view of the beach but we were only steps away so the view was no big deal

There was a spot of blood on the carpet, the duvet wasn’t clean, but we bring our own blankets, so we took the duvet off and the hair dryer malfunctioned as soon as I turned it on, thick smoke rolled out of the hairdryer.
