The place was very clean, staff was very kind and social. We stayed in a suite which was very roomy and beautiful as was the view! Great variable breakfast served every morning. Fun social times /snacks throughout the day. Would go back! Right on ocean! Nice pools in and outdoors. Beach chairs if needed.

Maybe a few more tables/ chairs for amazing breakfast so all could eat together. Would love full length mirror in room. Our clock in room had seen better days. Couldn't set alarm on it. The display was half working. These though are not complaints just suggestions, so many enjoy breakfast and seating gets tight. Felt more than enough room in suite for the long mirror. And as far as clock goes we used our cell phones for alarms.

Customer service was excellent. The free breakfast was really good to include eggs, home fries, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. The afternoon socials were a sweet touch. The room was nice and clean. We receive new towels & your bed was made every day. There were 3 large ice makers to choose from. They had complimentary beach chairs. Large beach front. We had a great experience and would Definately come back.

I loved that they had a dehumidifier in the room, but we had to empty it twice a day. The alarm went off if we didnt. Also, your refridge gave out, but they promptly gave us a new one.

Breakfast was amazing! Enjoyed every day. Maybe discourage/prohibit guests from saving tables. Tables should be first come-first served. Pool was well maintained but we didn't use as it was still a bit chilly.

Parking for the "south" building we were in was very tight. Two flights of stairs was a lot for two 65 year olds. Wouldn't stay in that section again. Didn't feel as secure as in the main building with rooms opening onto hallway. At check-in, felt a bit like second class citizens as we had booked through Booking.com. Confusion over room location was frustrating. Check-in person said she could not do anything to improve room assignment.

Breakfast, served by the staff, was excellent! It varied day to day and there is literally a line at 8 am every morning! The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean and the housekeeping staff was friendly and welcoming. Also, the wine and cheese at 5 pm and cookies at 3 pm were such a treat! Pool was also clean and inviting. The beach is steps away from the hotel and the view from the room was relaxing and just beautiful! Great hotel!

There is only one elevator which seemed to take forever sometimes, but it gave you the opportunity to meet the other guests and to develop a real feeling of community!

We stayed in a one bedroom, King on the second floor of the hotel's second building. The room was quite large - surprisingly so - and had a full kitchen. Beach access right out the back of the hotel, with a nice walkway so that we didn't have to walk on the sand all the way to the beach. Location was very close to many wonderful restaurants, with plenty of shopping nearby. The hotel had breakfast every morning, and in the evening they served cookies in the lobby and served some wine around 5:00p-6:00p or so.

There was no elevator in the second building, so this made taking luggage up several flights of stairs a bit difficult. The shower wasn't the best, but we made do by adjusting the shower head for better spray and pressure. The only other thing was that the bed wasn't very comfortable, but it definitely was not the worst bed that I've ever slept on. These are actually pretty minor details, but I am providing the only negative things I can think of. That's not too shabby.

I liked the room, the amenities and the fact it was close to everything we did.

The fact that the room phone didn't work and the fact that no information was in the room. It was just an inconvenience. I had to call the front desk from my cell to be told to work the TV i had to go back down to the office to get step by step instructions on the TV. It says on the website cable TV and streaming like Netflix. It only has a ROKU and if you don't have any of those streaming channels boy are you in for a treat. Take your firestick or whatever else you have.

All the extras-plentiful breakfast with lots of options from hot & savory to sweet. Also we enjoyed the wine social and the snacks in the afternoon. Popcorn and cookies were a bonus. Also the coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and ice water available anytime in the lobby hallway were very much appreciated.

I thought there was too much plastic waste in the breakfast area. Plastic cutlery and cups could be switched to stainless steel and washable coffee cups. Especially being so close to the ocean, one-time use plastic is something to be addressed. Otherwise we will definitely stay here again when we are anywhere near the area. 100%.

Room was clean & beds very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Love the evening wine social, most nights a lot of the guests stay and chat with one another….meet new friends! Spectacular view with oceanfront view!! Breakfast choices were amazing & delicious!

Only disappointment (though totally understand)is during this stay management decided that the breakfast menu had to be reduced. It is still a very good breakfast!

The breakfast room staff were friendly and helpful and the choices were excellent.

The staff at the check in were not very friendly and acted like they were doing you a favor to answer any questions. There was a very confusing television access for a Roku based system so when I went to the desk and asked how the system worked; they sent a maintenance staff member to explain the procedure and he did not know how the tv worked. Very disappointing for a senior citizen. I travel for pleasure, and I found this experience very disconcerting.

Loved the very friendly staff. Bed & Breakfast feel. Great breakfast. You could definitely tell that this is NOT a chain and is independently owned and operated. Wine and cheese hour at 5. Fresh cookies at 8. Much better breakfast. Large room. Close to outlets and restaurants. Closer to other areas of interest also - Manteo, Cape Hattares and Bodie. I will definitely stay there again when I need a room in that area. AND it was the least expensive of any of our rooms! We had been traveling for 5 days prior in other areas. We stayed 3 nights here.

The bed was too hard. But that is the only complaint. Everything else was excellent. The best place we stayed over the 10 days we traveled. We stayed here 3 nights.
