We like the Giltar very much indeed in that all the staff are very friendly, especially in the dining room and the bedroom chamber maids. It has a beautiful position on the front with magnificent views along the coast and over to Caldey Island. The food was well presented and very acceptable. It has the feeling of a happy staff and 'well run ship'.

We are elderly and much of our enjoyment is sitting in our room looking out at the sea. For this reason we indulged in an expensive de luxe room with a sea view. We were warned shortly before our arrival that there would be scaffolding up, which did indeed spoil the outlook but we accepted this with a small adjustment to the price of the room for one of the days. However, unfortunately for two of our four full days the scaffolding was being taken down with all the ensuing noise and men clambering around directly outside our window. We would have hoped for a reasonable deduction for this but the management seemed surprised that we should think this. This we found disappointing and so have not given it top rating, which for all other aspects we would have done.

Well what can I say my self and my husband absolutely loved our stay at the Giltar Hotel, we stayed in the Castle Room which was absolutely beautiful with a stunning view of the sea we could have stayed in our hotel seats looking at that view all day it was so beautiful! The room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice and spacious! We loved it that much we have already booked in to come back to the Castle Room next year! The staff were really nice and the breakfast was delicious and served very fast, even though the staff are very busy they always made sure you had everything nothing was too much. We definitely highly recommend this hotel.

There is nothing that I didn’t like everything was perfect.

Excellent sea front location…friendly efficient knowledgeable team. Unfortunately car park was small and full so I had to pay roughly £18 for parking over 2 days a one night stay. Breakfast was nice some bits I didn’t like but had we stayed another night I would have known you can mix and match and choose the things you prefer….it was all cooked very nicely it’s just my preferences. Tenby is gorgeous btw and I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Nothing much although where your allowed to leave luggage until book in is not secure anyone can walk in unchallenged. Also check out 10.am is a little early 11am or 12 would be desirable

The hotel is on the seafront, short walk to beach and town, it is beautifully decorated, has a lift and a small bar, the staff were very professional and friendly, we had a puncture on our motorbike as we were leaving and Pat and another guy whose name we didn’t catch were exceptionally helpful. There is a small car park at the rear which was one of the main reasons we booked as private parking seems to be a rarity in Tenby. Our room was a sea view twin as we booked last minute it was all that was available it was a small room for two but adequate for one night stay

Unfortunately there was a bad smell in the shower room from the drains, it didn’t come into bedroom but it was unpleasant. The breakfast was adequate in size but tasted a little bland my husband had full Welsh and said his was the same, I had avocado with poached eggs and bacon the bacon was anaemic looking I like a crispy rind and some colour on the meat but this might not bother others.

Super nice host – big thanks to the reception staff, cleaner, and the restaurant waiter and waitress. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made our stay really enjoyable. The room was okay, though the building seems a bit older, and unfortunately, my friends started having some dust allergies. However, everything was generally clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely – we had a full English breakfast along with pastries and cereal. The location is great, very close to the beach, and we enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table. Overall, a warm and pleasant stay. Thank you to the whole team!

The views of the South Beach were absolutely stunning. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly polite- especially the lady at reception, who kindly offered us great suggestions on places to visit and explore around Tenby.

Parking around the hotel can be quite expensive. While there is free parking available at the front, it’s very limited—you’ll need a bit of luck to find a vacant spot. We ended up parking at the multi-storey car park, which cost £6 for 24 hours and was about a 7-minute walk from the hotel. Alternatively, the nearby Seafront and Arches car parks are also options, though they charge £10 for 24 hours

Great location. Looking out onto the sea and close to everything but quiet. Exceptionally clean and comfortable room. I only booked a single so quite small as most single rooms are but it was very stylishly furnished and was large enough for my needs. Staff were efficient and friendly. You can tell the staff are well trained and the hotel is efficiently run. Great breakfast.

Nothing I didn't like. If I had to be picky it would be the small surcharge for some breakfast menu items like eggs benedict.

Nice clean hotel. Good location with good sea views.

They advertised 20% off if you ordered two courses off the dinner menu. However, they didn’t adhere to this stating the menu had been changed and it wasn’t applicable any longer. However, the offer was still being advertised in the hotel. On enquiring about this the staff weren’t very empathetic saying there was nothing they could do even though two courses had been purchased with this offer in mind. Surely this is a trading standards issue. Apart from this incident the staff were fine and we had a lovely stay.

Great location. Perfect for beach & stroll in town. Room very comfortable. A pleasure to have the room turned in whilst we were having breakfast. A great selection of cooked breakfast is brought to your table. There is less choice in the buffet but the quantities are such that it doesn't really matter. Highly recommend this hotel.

Parking is a big issue and finding a space which doesn't require a parking permit is an adventure! Perhaps a bigger variety of drinks during the day, such as iced coffees/smoothies or shakes.

I enjoyed the breakfast. I had cereal, orange juice, a yoghurt and toast. I had an option to have a cooked breakfast. The staff in the hotel were polite, helpful, professional and friendly. I liked the location of the hotel, as it was opposite South Beach and within walking distance of Tenby town centre.

I did not like the chicken dish that I had for dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, as I felt that unfortunately the chicken had not been cooked properly. It did not taste good.
