Everything was luxurious and magical on Hayman Island! From the start at the airport the ferry boat was amazing with champagne and snacks! The infinite pool is absolutely stunning! Wild wallabies, macaws, and birds are so fun to watch. They offer escapades to snorkel on neighboring islands. The coral reef is amazing. We have traveled all around the world and this place is our new favorite destination!

You must love nature and wild animals to be on Hayman Island. The macaws are beautiful to watch but a bit loud - you get used to it. There are jelly fish in the water but they give you stinger suits.

The location was unbeatable, the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed many of the activities both on and off the island.

We had some good meals but found the quality of lunch and dinner from all four main venues to be below expectation for a luxury resort - especially for those prices.

Pleasant, cheerful, charming staff. Luxurious room. Great buffet breakfast.

Hayman Island is beautiful, but isolated, being an hour’s boat ride from the world. Food choices are limited with 3 principle dining locations with limited menus. No simple, casual dining at dinner. The Grove cafe is not truly a cafe but more grab and go. Aqua was casual but closes at 4 pm. I had expected to be able to snorkel from the beach but the bay is shallow and mostly exposed at low tide, so no reef at the resort. The resort does offer ‘escapades’ to several nearby beaches where you can snorkel, but you have to pay. Also the tides determine when and how long the water sports venue was open. You can’t kayak on exposed tidal flats.

the breakfast was excellent - but the service was not so great - the coffee did not arrive on several occasions and the poached eggs being good with avocado being very scant. The view from the rooms was excellent

Yoga was too expensive. There is not enough variety in dining options. The island needs a cafe with fast, fresh and healthy convenient food / snack options that can be taken on hikes across the island or picnics on the beach. The cafe could be the center of the activity of the island. The current cafe is underwhelming and closes too early. It does not have sufficient options and does not create a vibe. It should be separate from the gift shop.

Staying at this resort was the highlight of my trip to Australia! The resort is clean and well maintained, the room is stunning, the bed is comfortable and the staff are friendly and very helpful. I definitely recommend booking a few activities while you are there - the outer reef snorkelling was amazing.

It is honestly difficult to find any fault with this resort. My only negative feedback is that the food at the restaurants could be better (the food is not terrible - it is just very average/nothing special).

gorgeous location, with the most beautifulbeaches

The location of our room were 900m walk from the main pool, restaurants, front foyer etc., and with a foot injury is wasnt ideal. Had I known this I would have asked to change my room to a more local room closer to the rest of the family we were travelling with. Golf buggies were available but was a bit of a wait for them onve requested.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is amazing. The beach is really nice and we saw turtles, stingrays and reef sharks. We really liked the hotel room as well - clean, modern and functional design. We enjoyed the complimentary water sports and tennis court facilities.

We had a couple of issues that we flagged to the general manager Ben which he promptly resolved. One was that cook to order omelettes took a long time to prepare on our first day at breakfast but we didn’t have that issue again on the other days. The other issue was that we weren’t able to book the Lanflord island excursion as it was fully booked everyday we were there, but Ben was able to get us onto an excursion. we appreciated him resolving our issues and that is the kind of service you expect when paying so much for what is ultimately a very expensive hotel.

Loved the island, we did not want to leave. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by amazing staff. Breakfasts were great. Recommend walking round the island trails and seeing the other beaches and views of the island.

It would’ve been better if the transfer costs were included in the booking price, we were surprised at these high costs considering there is no other way to the island and the costs were not revealed until after we had booked a non refundable stay. Although the stay and transfers were worth every penny.

excellent resort with fantastic facility all through out. exceptional guest service. very attention to detail. they try their best to meet any request for their guests. their concierge team is on different level. keep up the good work.

nothing much but if i have to put something out then one thing the resort might take a look at their transfer pricing. transfer cost to the island could be a bit cheaper.

The staff within the entire resort were highly trained and so accommodating and friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet at Pacfic the best we have ever encountered and was amazing! Exceptional in fact. We would particularly like to mention the following people: Labrina at Bam Bam, Sebastian with Champagnes, Jaimee with yoga, Sara at Pacific, Charlie at Ocean Adventures, Stanley for his Island Experience and Michele at Amici. The water sports were excellent and the ocean activities truly world class. We loved the cruise, snorkelling and diving with the best coral reef we have ever seen. The room was always spotlessly clean and had every feature you could want.

Just a couple of recommendations only: we would suggest that "Bookings are Essential" be written on the Daily Schedule for the Sunset Yoga sessions. Also, that the guests are advised to wear reef shoes if they go snorkelling at Blue Pearl Bay. One last thing - could the brand of makeup remover sachets in the room be improved or alternatively could the Grove Boutique add these to their stock items list?
