It felt very luxurious and private. The location was fantastic. The ocean view from the room was exceptional and the staff were amazing.

There needs to be a better system with people not saying at the hotel using the sun beds by the pool. So many people came in to use the pool for the day and use the sun loungers which made it hard for actual guests paying to stay there to find a sun bed. The actual hotel could do with some upgrading - bathroom in our room needed upgrading, the jetty surface, the carpet throughout the common areas, the TVs in the bedrooms are very old and don’t have streaming facilities.

Everything…is Fantastic here…Just what we needed … Fabulous Place..& People / Staff:)…11 out of 10..This is what a holiday is all about .. room service … continental breakfast…beautiful location… walking distance to the main street..lagoon…the rock restaurant is divine… the rooms are modern & super clean…the garden … pier .. pool area are amazing even the music ( pool area ) is calming & relaxing ..every little detail is perfectly addressed…love this place & we will be back .. we will not go anywhere else…Thank you for making our holiday filled with the best of the best memories…:)))

We booked an Ocean Twin Suite for our family of 4. The accommodation was really spacious, we had an exceptional view of the water and once a topper had been added to the second bed, the beds were really comfortable. Staff were really helpful and lovely. We loved our included continental breakfast - there was a fair bit of choice and it was delicious. We were really impressed with location, staff (front of house, restaurant/bar and housekeeping), cleanliness and comfort. We would definitely stay here again!

The only thing I would suggest is having a little more shade over some of the seats/lounge chairs around the pool. We found that we didn't enjoy the pool as much as we wanted because there wasn't enough shade over the seat/lounge area and we have little kids (3 years old and 6months old). This isn't a deal breaker though as there is plenty to do around Airlie and depending on the time of day, you still get shade.

Great location, easy walk to town and relatively flat. Lovely room, great views. Room service very good.

Old TV- no streaming available eg Netflix. For the price of the room would have expected up to date TVs. The duty manager kindly found a Chromecast and set it up for us TV was important to us as recovering from poor health and unable to go out in the evenings). Not enough sun umbrellas outside to cover all the loungers- extremely hot weather. Weddings every day we were there so some areas and hence some outdoor furniture unavailable. When functions in the bar area or the Ballroom can be pretty noisy - although did stop at 10 pm. Expected more for the price of the property.

Definitely felt like a beautiful resort. The rooms were incredible and the housekeeping was ever better!! Always felt so clean and well maintained. Breakfast was only cereal, toast, fruit and yogurts. But we felt we still had lots of options and were satisfied. We enjoyed how early breakfast started especially as we are early risers. The pool and outdoor seating area is only for guests so it wasn’t ever over crowded, it was the perfect place to layback and relax. If you plan on doing activities everyday I would definitely stay somewhere cheaper as you really pay for the experience and facilitates, perfect for if you plan to lay out by the pool for a week! We would definitely come back!

The bed was rock hard and as a pregnant woman, it was hard on my hips at night! But truly that was all we didn’t like!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Coral Sea and found the staff went out of their way to be helpful, giving us an hour later on check-out among other things. It’s a stylish, contemporary hotel and the breakfast was good with an included barista coffee - not just filter. We walked along the seafront into the town and in search of lively family restaurants and found a good Asian one. The hotel restaurant is quite high end and may need booking. The decor was modern and stylish and we liked the fact there is a guest laundry for wet clothes after reef trips. It’s a restrained vibe rather than full of atmosphere but very restful with lovely pool beds and loungers and plenty of shade.

One simple change would make the experience better - providing drinking water in the room, with a bottle of spring or filtered water as so many hotels now do. The bathroom water is undrinkable (we checked and reception described it as highly chlorinated) and the only water on sale at reception so $6 for a tiny bottle. Minor niggles - our family room had no sockets by beds and no bedside lights - one bed had no light controls at all.

The location was fantastic as well as our view from our room. the facilities around the hotel especially the pool, jetty and bar were fantastic and one lady in particular as a bar tender was one of the kindest and positive people ever. We did not get her name but she seemed to be in charge, she was an older woman who knew her stuff. 10/10 for her!

well, when at the bar one day getting a drink, a bee came out of no where and stung my foot and it HURT. in no way is that the hotels fault, but the fat swarm of bees that were around could have been removed or relocated. our aircon was leaking aswell and got a really important pair of uggs wet. but the hotel sent staff to fix it pretty quick. the only other thing was we got some attitude from bar staff (not the nice lady mentioned earlier we loved her).

Loved this hotel great location you have the pool on one side and the waves on the other. Pool water was perfect temperature and everywhere kept clean well maintained. Food was good including breakfast there was a good choice. I noticed other reviews complained about the breakfast but there was plenty to choose from and all fresh and included in the price the only place for us as everywhere else we have to pay. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great that there are some washers dryers there we could use so we did a couple of loads of washing which cost 2 pounds a load they even have us the soap.

It was all great would definitely recommend. Only think I could complain about was we had a little step as we went from the bedroom to the bathroom with a metal edge which I caught my foot on a few times. We just placed a towel over it so it didn't happen again.

The room was exceptional and the view from the balcony was amazing, overlooking the sea. The small kitchen area was extremely useful and everything worked well. The room was well equipped. We appreciated being away from the main section of the hotel which is host to wedding parties. We enjoyed peace and quiet where we were. The swimming pool was large and the water warm enough for a comfortable swim.

The breakfast. It was included in the price but we found it was possibly the most parsimonious offering of all the hotels we stayed in during our visit to Australia. One cup of coffee only if you wanted it freshly made and it took an age to arrive at the table. Cooked breakfasts were on offer if you wanted to pay extra. Otherwise there was limited fruit, cereals and yoghurts with the usual cold meats and pastries.

Beautiful resort with a gorgeous pool overlooking the water. Not too busy and the sun beds were very easy to get - you can also use the facilities after checkout. Continental breakfast included was great, and we dined at the their restaurant in the evening which was also great! Very friendly staff, very quiet with clean rooms. They also do good value deals/happy hours on different days of the week. One of the nicest places we have stayed and would definitely recommend a stay here!

The only very slight negative is that there isn’t a shop on the resort, so you need to walk into town for any little bits like snacks/bug spray etc which isn’t far away (5/10 minutes) but in the blazing heat of summer can be quite exhausting!
