Very quiet location and comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for the shower. Great views and sunset. Perfectly adequate if a little old and tired looking. We didn’t get to meet the owner/manager as we were never around when the reception was open, but our room was ready for us and clean and it was easy to check in/out.

Not so keen on the location which is at the top of a very, very steep hill (15%) and the whole place was a little dated, but perfectly serviceable to be fair. There’s a large crackle of cockatoos who gather on the pool awning first thing in the morning and makes a bit of a racket, but that could be seen as a positive by some.

Lovely set of apartments perched in a lovely location overlooking Airlie Beach. It is located perfectly to observe each evening's sunset! The apartments are of a good size, and well equipped for simple food preparation. Peter was extremely friendly and helpful, helping to organise everything from airport transfers, to local boat trips and advising on local beaches etc. The pool area is a great sun trap if you fancy a day off from touring! An ideal spot from which to explore the Whitsundays!

The views are just stunning day and night and you can enjoy them from the covered terrace during the brief heavy downpours until the sun returns. The studio is bright and clean with everything we needed and it was great to be able to do laundry. The pool with a view is such a bonus and we had it to ourselves most of the time.Dean was very cheerful and sorted out our airport shuttle and was happy for us to sit in the shade with our luggage before and after check in/out times. Great view, and very convenient location to walk to the esplanade ( as long as you don't mind going back up the hill). Kitchen and bathroom facilities were both good. Rollaway bed was helpful.

The kitchen needed some cupboard door maintenance. The check in procedure was sloppy with no one in attendance. The property's attempt to get people to self check in was messed up to due to the error of mixing up guest names on the notice board to direct people to rooms. After a phone call someone arrived to correct the error. A rollaway bed was provided for us to free of charge.

The staff member we were greeted by was truly customer service orientated. We had arrived 5 hours early after 7 days on a bare boat charter, eager to access a room for a shower and a much-needed rest. Having intended to drop our bags and head back into to town, and return at the scheduled arrival time, we were tremendously appreciative of the staff member who went above and beyond to ensure we could obtain early access to our room. Simply superb service! On departure we were again delighted to be able to obtain a later check out to align with our airport transfer. All this was offered with a smile and a genuine desire to make weary travelers comfortable. Thank you to the staff member at Sunlit Waters Studio Apartments, you are a legend.

Immaculate & clean studio with stunning sea views over Airlie Beach Marina. Fabulous staff who were very friendly & efficient. Comfortable bed, spacious studio (number 5) before/after sailing the Whitsunday Islands. Fresh, white, quality bed linen was very welcomed. A 10 min walk (max) to the Main Street of Airlie Beach. Great value for money!

We were both able & mobile to master the VERY STEEP short hill (15% gradient) upto the property. Others need to be aware as not all will be able to achieve it! No tea towel provided. Softer pillows would be preferred. That said, we would stay here again.

Quiet hilltop location close to the town. The town of Airlie attracts a lot of younger travellers and can be lively in the evenings, so we appreciated being slightly remote. Our apartment was spacious, and we had a great view over the marina from the patio area. The swimming pool was adequate and welcoming in the heat.

In general the accessories provided were not of the quality we expect from an establishment charging $250 a night. Examples: no face tissues, threadbare towels, a tiny bar of soap and terrible quality made in China shampoo sachets that we required scissors to open (the scissors were poor quality too). The cheap hairdryer was full on or off. We were supplied with 6 milk pots between 2 of us for a 4 night stay during the previous weeks of travel cartons of milk were provided. Additional supplies were readily made available as were pool towels. We provided feedback direct to the owner which was politely received.

Good sized room with decent cooking facilities and a reasonable sized bathroom. Absolutely great view from just outside the room across the small pool. Really lovely and the owners were really helpful in organising our transfers to/from the airport and keeping our big bags safe while we went on and overnight boat trip.

The property is near the top of a steep hill - so great views but a bit of a climb if you are walking back from the Airlie Beach main street. But the view compensates for that i think!

The view was amazing. The beds were clean and comfortable. The facilities were good. It was close to town. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A steep walk uphill from town to the apartment- but the view was worth it! We had a queen bed and 3 single beds. The queen bed was in the main area with one single, and 2 singles were in a separate room. It would have been better for my husband and I to have the queen bed in the separate room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the views from the table in front of our room made it a great place to have breakfast or just sit with an afternoon beverage. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and assisted us by booking a cruise on the Whitehaven Xpress. The kitchen was small but sufficient and quite well equipped

The walk back from town finished with a steep uphill climb, but I suppose that is the price you pay to get the great views.
