The breakfast was lovely I was welcomed straight away with a lovely fresh pot of tea x the staff were cheerful , smart and friendly x I couldn’t fault anyone x spoke to the chef until my room was ready as I’d arrived early . Had a lovely starter outside in the beer garden then the steak pie for dinner . Lovely fresh food served with smiles and standards . Will be back just for a nice relaxing break . Staff couldn’t do enough , thank you

Rooms do need a bit of upgrading but the hotel was lovely , loved the fact there was hand wash etc , maybe a little box with a couple of tea bags . But to be honest for the price per night I was very impressed

Absolutely beautiful hotel and restaurant, we liked everything. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Fresh towels, clean and fresh bedding, desk/dressing table, kettle in the room, etc. Dinner was so good, I ate even not being really hungry and the restaurant spavious and very cosy. Great staff, great service, and the same at the breakfast. Taste full English 😋

If anything, that maybe coffee wasn't hot but Oat and Soya milk provided, that's a bonus. Location, far from Edinburgh centre, but the location was really nice. Greenery around, tidy and clean area, a little but well equipped shop metres away, quiet, so I'd say it was a nice place to stay.

What a lovely hotel. It feels fresh, modern and well maintained. Our room looked newly decorated and it was spacious, can't fault a thing. There is ample parking. The breakfast room was lovely also. Its on a quiet road with a co-op and chip shop near by. The bed is SO COMFORTABLE. Had a lovely nights sleep. Over all I would be happy to book here again.

No wi-fi password given. Okay selection for breakfast. but hot food was only warm. It is self service which was nice to only take what you wanted rather than served unsuitable portion sizes. Tea in the pot was very strong and again only warm. No decaf tea options either at breakfast or in room. I would have liked to have picked my own table to sit at rather than being told to sit at one, even if she had said choose any table set for two would have made our dining experience better as we were put near the food area so everyone was walking by, i prefer a quieter area.

Great communications from initial booking to check out, really helpful friendly staff. This was a family trip, all the staff went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and memorable. Thank you. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 small children - we arrived quite late and the the staff worked hard to make sure our rooms were ready and that a family table in the lovely dining room was available. Dinner was really great, first class food and service. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Hotel is extremely clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Our second visit and it definitely won’t be our last.

A slight issue but not one that would put us off Breskfast served until 9 am ( maybe a later finish time for holiday makers would be good) and after a busy early breakfast service some items were not available to us. Not a game changer though.

Location, internal/external decor of building, room comfort, quality of food and wine/speed of service in restaurant.

Decor of bathroom/attention to detail. Cracked tiles around window, mould on tiles in shower, rusty bottom of radiator, toilet roll holder on wall that could not be used. Not what I would expect from a hotel charging £100 per night for single room. Damage to bedside lampshade. Breakfast cereal bowls in restaurant a little on the small size. A hotel that is trying to be upmarket but is let down by lack of attention to detail, in my room anyway.

Location to town centre was excellent

Breakfast it was served from 7am to 9am to early for me don't think they are catering for people on holiday. Food was terrible eggs not cooked i don't like soft fried eggs I did asked staff member if she could have my egg cooked but she was very rude and just said that is the way the chef cooked them, the bacon was the same not cooked the one side was cooked and the other side was raw no way I would eat raw bacon did not bother to go for breakfast on second morning.

Fresh feeling rooms, very clean and great location for coming in and out of Edinburgh. Evening meal was amazing and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast was strange with the lack of menu. Difficult to make a decision after just having items listed by staff. Water pressure in shower wasn’t very good and it seemed like some of the shower head holes were blocked. Also didn’t like that there wasn’t an option to hang a “do not disturb” sign on the door for cleaners. While out for the day our bed got made and bins emptied when they really didn’t need to be but there was no sign to have them skip our room.

Check in was ok but the receptionist didn’t do much to welcome us. It was here’s your key and directions to your room. Dinner was lovely, standard fare but well presented and very tasty. Staff were lovely, single out Ellie as she was very pleasant and didn’t get flustered when another customer was giving her a hard time over something to do with his food. Breakfast was buffet style and was perfectly adequate.

The room we were allocated turned out to have paper thin walls. When we got back after dinner we could hear every word from the room next door. It actually felt as if they were in the same room. Fair play to the duty receptionist, she had us into a much quieter room in no time. Sorry I didn’t get her name.

The room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were good. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent.

We went down for breakfast at 9.30 am and the breakfast finished at 10 am. The breakfast was not very good. The coffee was cold . The food itself was not very hot and the sausages were undercooked and of very cheap quality. After eating at the restaurant the night before when the food was outstanding, we were really disappointed at the breakfast.

The room was comfy! Bathroom a decent size. Food was lovely and a decent price! Everyone was willing to help :) Was here for a drifting event at Driftland so will use this hotel each time we travel up from Devon! :) Also, was very thankful for the double parking place to be coned off for the 3 nights due to us having a large vehicle and a trailer (with car attached). Thank you! :)

Breakfast starting at 7:30am on the Saturday as this made us have to rush to get to the event for 8am! The hotel was very warm!! But once we turned the heating off in the room and opened the window it was lovely :)
