Lovely old spacious town house with lots of character based in the centre of the town but far enough away to be peaceful. The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated making it feel both welcoming and homely, and the rooms were well designed and spacious. There was also plenty of free parking either on the street at the front of the property or at the rear within a private courtyard. There is more than enough variety and choice of excellent pubs and restaurants only a few minutes walk away, perfect for a couple looking for a short break whether it is to relax or to explore by walking, bike, car or bus the town centre or regional facilities, national forest, seaside and the beautiful Yorkshire Moors.

The location was perfect for our needs. It was a bonus to be able to park in the grounds. Richard was there as arranged so we were able to settle in easily. Our room had a dressing area, bathroom and bedroom which were all immaculate as was the rest of the property. There were other guests there but we couldn't hear them from our room. The breakfast was exactly as the reviews I'd previously read - excellent choice, plentiful and very tasty. Overall, a lovely experience. We will certainly stay there again if in that area.

I had a problem being in room 6 as it is on the second floor - my problem with climbing stairs is my problem not theirs but worth checking, before booking, if you have this problem.

Just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful guest house. When we arrived, the town was in the middle of a power cut, but Richard made us feel incredibly welcome. This was despite other guests arriving at the same time. The guest house is beautiful, with Richard and Helen paying great attention to detail in all areas of the house. It is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is not to be missed, with Richard and Helen being very attentive. Look forward to staying here again at some point in the future.

The guest house was lovely with a really nice lounge for residents to use. It was perfectly situated for our visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The room was comfortable, clean and had a lot of choice of teas, coffee, etc. It was decorated tastefully and breakfast was exceptional with a good choice on both mornings and served quickly. We especially loved the bacon! It was very peaceful at night despite being central in town which helped us to get a good night’s sleep. There was a good choice of pubs and restaurants to eat out and lovely independent shops. Parking was easy although we didn’t need to move the car for the two days we stayed.

The window was low down in our room due to being on the top floor and made it limited when looking out but we were out most of the time anyway. This didn’t ruin our stay at all and this is a lovely guest house.

Very comfortable bed and spotless room. Very friendly owners who were happy to chat at breakfast and offered plenty of tea, coffee, fresh juice, toast, cereal. Lovely stay!

Nothing really everything was great for me. The only thing I can think of is that my room only had a shower, this was fine for me as I like a shower in the morning but for people that prefer a bath it be worth considering and asking for room with a bath.

Centrally located, yet quiet position, Bramwood is a big, old 3 storey townhouse, with free parking next to or close by. A very short, cut-through walk next to Church into Pickering town centre for shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants. Lovely ensuite bedroom & 2 bright, spacious communal breakfast rooms. Excellent breakfast menu, fresh produce.

This is ideally situated Guest House with parking. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. The breakfast were lovely too and a good selection. The bathroom was good too.

The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the shower, it was very fine spray and there was some mold in the grout.

Breakfast was really good, service excellent and friendly. Garden was lovely, and it was great we had free onsite parking. Complentary wash products were nice and the shower was excellent. Loved the location and the check-in, check-out was very easy.

The room we had was on the second floor, kind of within the roof space. It was a little small, with a low ceiling and the bottom of the window started at floor level, making it difficult to see out of without crouching!

What a beautiful little place to stay. After a long day's work I arrived to a warm welcome and was given the necessary information and my keys within minutes. Very professional and clearly very experienced. I've lost count of how many of these places I've stayed and sometimes hosts want to know your life story when you just want a shower! Room was absolutely immaculate, Luxury bedding and a bed that was like sleeping on a cloud! After exploring the town and having some delicious Indian food in a local restaurant I returned and enjoyed a very peaceful night. It was so quiet outside, I had the window wide open and all I could hear was the soothing lullaby of the rain as I drifted off to sleep. I had a full English for breakfast and it was of a very high quality and cooked to perfection. I honestly cannot think of anything that would have improved my experience and this is also bearing in mind that the price I paid was lower than many of the other offerings on booking.com

I honestly cannot come up with a bad point, ok I had to go downstairs to find a pen to fill.out my breakfast order! Terrible ha! Didn't give wifi full.marks as I only sent a single email!

It was in a good position for Pickering town

The room we had was up 2 flights of stairs on the top floor and it was difficult getting luggage up them as we are 77 and 80 years old
