March 2025

Arrived around 5PM by car and was greeted by the host on the driveway. We were guided to the side of what appeared to be an annex to the house and parking was easy with what seemed to be enough parking for 3 or 4 cars, and this space seemed to be allocated to the guests with more space in front of the house I assume for the owners. There are only two guest rooms in the property, and the two rooms have a common hallway type room and a dining room which is communal between the guest rooms - however the other room was unused on the night of our stay so we had it all to ourselves. The two rooms, the hallway, the dining room appear to be part of the annex and upon arriving we were given advice on where to eat in the evening, and given a nice hot pot of Yorkshire tea along with some cake. The room was pristine, spacious, and very clean. The decor was excellent with lots of little flourishes and a good balance such that it felt roomy but not empty. The room had no TV, and this isn't an oversight but a conscious decision. Myself and the wife both thought it made the room much more calming, and these days everyone has phones/laptops/iplayer if you really want to break the peace. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower was lovely, and we've rarely stayed anywhere this restful, and certainly never at this price. Internet access was good. Breakfast was excellent. It feels rather special I would say. Fully recommended for anyone that wants to use it as a base in North Yorkshire or even just a quiet retreat for a night or two.

Whilst it didn't bother us much, the location of the property is a little bit off the beaten path. You will have to drive through some very narrow roads to get there but we didn't have a problem with our satnav. The road leads straight to LIDL actually in Pickering, and I think it took us about 13 minutes to get there by car.

The property is lovely. We had the upstairs suite which had a great size bedroom, a big bathroom and a lovely cosy area and in the ‘landing’ style area there was a table and tea/coffee facilities. Sally made the stay fantastic and clearly cares about all her guests going the extra mile and being super friendly and approachable. On arrival we were offered cake and teas. My partner LOVED the ginger cake. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Home baked bread, fruit, cereals and then a full English. We loved our stay and will return!! Highly recommend.

Nothing.

Sally was an amazing hostess. The house and accommodation are top-notch. Our experience was beyond impressed from before we arrived and well after we left. Sally provided great food suggestions and helped us get reservations when we were unable to. This is a very peaceful, wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. The breakfast was some of the best food I have had. All is healthy and home cooked.

Our Hostess Sally met us on arrival and showed us arround. Breakfast was home made with different specials on the board every day lovingly cooked by Sally each morning. The location was perfect, peacerful with lovely views from the windows. The best part was Sally who gave guidance to best places to visit and to eat in the evening. Thank you Sally for a perfect couple of days bed and breakfast.

No complaints at all, perfact getaway.

It was situated in a beautiful area of the north York moors, ideal for exploring the area. Ticket y boo suites are set in idyllic grounds and was so peaceful. Total relaxation Our host Sally made us feel at home straightaway with a welcome drink and homemade cake, the breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice of cooked food. Bed was super comfy. We will definitely be returning

A beautiful property with gorgeous quiet and peaceful gardens. Sally was wonderful, friendly and helpful, offering local knowledge which was invaluable. Everything was spotlessly clean and cosy, and breakfast was excellent with a wide choice in a private dining room. Our suite was ground floor which was very accessible for creaky bones. Parkng was outside the door which was also good.

We liked everything, please dont change.

Beautiful, exceptionally well equipped accommodation in the heart of the North York moors. Very accessible for Whitby, Pickering, Scarborough but also offers direct access to Cropton forest and surrounding areas. Fantastic spot for outdoor pursuits, biking, hiking and exploring. Sally the owner is a fabulous host and full of local knowledge to point you in the right direction. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back!

Great location on the edge of the moor. Comfy room/bed and lovely ensuite shower room. Our own breakfast room so I could make tea/coffee without disturbing the bread knife. The breakfast was great, homemade bread, and perfectly boiled eggs (no soldiers though......!). Sally, the landlady, was lovely and helpful and let us keep our motorbike in the barn.

Can't think of anything!

Absolutely fabulous. We were greeted by Sally with tea and cake and she went over and above with kindness and generosity. The room was very large and so tastefully decorated . The bathroom was big and the view out the windows was delightful. The English breakfast was delicious and served in our own dining room.We highly recommend Tickety Boo and would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. 10/10

We had a most wonderful time at Ticketyboo Suites. Sally is a superb host. We stayed only 1 night and we regretted not being able to stay longer, so we will definitely coming back. The room and ensuite were just wonderful, the breakfast one of the best we had. But most of all the warmth of Sally for her guest is unbelievable.

Nothing at all !
