Beautiful stone cottage accommodation on the foothills of the North Yorks Moors. Excellent range of breakfast options; the cooked breakfasts were awesome. Well appointed, spotless bedroom with a large bed, bathroom and window seat (a favourite of my wife) We also had use of the large and well furnished lounge for late evening drinks. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Peaceful and tranquil village location but only a few minutes drive to Pickering, which has an excellent choice of places to eat, plus for EV drivers, 4 fast charging points in the main car park.

Wonderfully clean with a very attentive but discrete host and a lovely filling breakfast each day. Quiet and peaceful, the location was far enough away from the nearest town to enjoy the solitude but close enough to everything to not feel it was an effort to get there. The little things made a difference here such as the use of a guest lounge with a TV and a fridge for chilled drinks - water was provided as was a little jug of fresh milk to supplement the milk sticks in the room. The addition of a few books, board games and packs of cards I think would make it a touch more homely as the room had only a bed and a small window ledge to sit on. We would definitely return to Pond Farm.

Property was absolutely immaculate. Very tasteful and welcoming. Breakfast was top notch, this lady can cook! Could hear a pin drop outside, wonderful view, very very relaxing area. Pub across the road does excellent food.

Bathroom extremely snug, still beautiful and very clean though. Couldn't really move inside shower cubicle unfortunately.

Lovely farmhouse in a quiet setting.Comfortable bed in a spotless room. Attention to detail in every room The hosts Judith and Andrew were lovely,Judith was on hand to help with any questions I had about the area. Good quality breakfast served piping hot. I slept very well and came away totally relaxed and refreshed.

Had a very warm welcome from Judith, the farm is simply but beautifully decorated with plenty of character, our room although not the biggest had everything we needed, very comfortable bed, great linen, lovely en-suite spotlessly clean, nice and warm . There is also a separate guest lounge, again beautifully set out. It was so peaceful, the only thing we heard was birdsong in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, selection of cereals, fresh fruit , yoghurt and jams. The cooked breakfast was delicious with a preorder choice which we really liked. Great host, great room, great breakfast, couldn’t ask for more.

Breakfast was great - Judith would also do variations to the menu i.e bacon and egg sandwich and the portions were just right. Great choice of jams, marmalade, and honey. The location outside of Pickering in the small village of Newton-on-Rawcliffe suited us. Pickering itself is on one end of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which runs steam engines and you can book a steam train from Pickering to Whitby for a great day out. You are also close to some old market towns and next to Thorton Dale voted one of the most beautiful NYM villages in 2018/2019.

The rooms were a tad small since it is a listed house, but that didn't affect me as there is a sitting room which I used to do any work and frankly we spend most of the day out and about - even on rainy days.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot food available, ordered the night before from a menu list. The property is immaculately presented and beautifully run by Judith, who will do whatever she can to ensure your stay is a lovely experience. Pond Farm is in a small village just a few minutes drive outside of Pickering so well placed for visiting the North Yorks moor.

The property was a fantastic Authentic Farmhouse with a few low beams and lovely features, Ie Flagstone floors in the entrance and a very comfortable lounge for our use , and it was very quiet and peaceful, and with the breakfasts cooked and served to perfection , it was perfect

There was nothing at all , that we didn’t like, even the house martins were a pleasure to watch and listen to.

The setting is a small village in the foothills of the Yorkshire Moors. A single pub is the only village facility + the church. That is not a 'negative' - the village is beautiful and well kept. All whom we met were very happy to chat. Pond Farm is beautifully kept and the hosts truly welcoming and friendly. x2 rooms only - both superb with all you would need provided.A private sitting room was a surprise and was well used by us. Breakfast was simply superb.

Andrew and Judith were excellent hosts. The room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was top notch! Especially the scrambled egg! They could not of been anymore hospitalitable. Their house is beautiful. Location we found great for our needs to get to local visiting places. The local pub was very nice and the locals very friendly. They can help with all local knowledge of places. Would strongly recommend this accomodation.
