Loved my stay here. Warm welcome upon arrival. Breakfast had a good variety. The evening meal were exceptionally good too. Quiet location situated in a very small hamlet. Our bright and modern accommodation was away from the pub and exceptionally clean, overlooking a garden. My husband was on a nostalgic trip to the Horseshoe Inn because he was camping in the same garden in the 70’s whilst hangliding at the Hole of Horcum. Levisham railway station is a short drive away for a great day trip.

A noisy fan in the bathroom, but once we have found the switch to turn it off that resolved the problem.

Had a fantastic time at Horseshoe Country Inn. The rooms were spotless and modern, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was outstanding—better than many 5-star hotels we've stayed at. Levisham train station is 1.5miles away, well worth popping down to see the steam trains or get on a train to Whitby.

Having stayed here numerous times the inn never disappoints. Accommodation is excellent, spotlessly clean and the food at both breakfast and evening meal also excellent; portion size is huge. Beer selection is good and kept well. All the staff are very friendly and it really feels like home.

It is difficult to criticise somewhere so good but a couple of points from our stay; whilst the provision of coffee/tea and biscuits in the rooms is very good, it would be nice if two bottles of water were also provided (the cost would be minimal and most accommodation does provide water now). Secondly, my wife and I love dogs and appreciate that people like to bring their dogs on holiday with them. We also appreciate that pubs like The Horseshoe Inn like to advertise the fact that they are 'dog friendly' but I don't think that dogs should be allowed in the eating area as some dogs can be very 'smelly' (flatulence) which is very off-putting and indeed nauseating when you are eating a meal and can't move away from the smell. This happened twice during our stay.

Everything .. especially the beautiful location. We would return in a "Heartbeat" :-) should we find ourselves up in that part of Yorkshire again.

Lovely quiet village location, large garden room, staff very friendly, food was really good and you certainly wouldn’t leave feeling hungry, exceptional portions. Adequate parking at side of the Inn.

Sharp hill down from Loxton and then up to the village, narrow but passing areas. Bit let down on Wednesday evening as our meal booking had no reserved table, stuck by the door got the feeling that other diners had better positioned tables even though we were residents and ate 3 out of 4 nights at the Inn. Parking near room was ok first night but then parked on side car park which was fine but some inconsiderate parking near our room meant space reduced from 5 cars to 4 which would have been more beneficial, perhaps allocate car parking to room number / cost. Our room was not serviced 1 day but as soon as this was mentioned the team rallied round and sorted it out.

Room was very clean, bed comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate provided. Hairdryer, TV and a radio. Quiet room

Shower had low water pressure and no hair conditioner provided only shampoo and shower gel. As a girl with thick long hair conditioner is a must or you aren't getting a hairbrush through it. Thankfully I always take a small bottle with me 'just in case' as unfortunately in the UK this is all too common. Wifi password was given in the room but when we tried to connect there wasn't a connection even showing to connect to. One eventually showed but the signal was too weak.

Beautiful quiet village position. Great traditional village pub. Staff really made this place, very helpful and happy! Have to say the food while a simple straight forward menu was exceptional. The fish and chips had to be one of the best I’ve ever had (trust me I’ve had a few! Haha). Fish just melted in your mouth. Breakfast too was excellent. The room was spotless and very comfy.

Nothing at all ! Only regret is not having stopped there sooner after calling in for a beer 10 years ago.

The inn was Excellent. Rooms were fantastic, clean very well maintained. Extra touches with all of your toiletries to biscuits with your tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was fantastic and had a wonderful stay.

The mattress on the bed was awful. It was either old or very poor quality. I could feel every spring. I didn’t sleep well at all and couldn’t wait for my own bed. Also the quilts had all clumped together and need new ones. It is such a shame as everything else had so much attention to detail and we really had a lovely stay there.

Welcoming and accommodating people .Great location with a well stocked bar and excellent breakfast and evening meals. Room was comfortable with own outdoor area and a well stocked bathroom with walk in shower .

There wasn't anything we disliked but personally for us the portion sizes were too big and we saw a lot of food waste so maybe a light bites menu but this was personal and in no way a reflection on the hotel

A wonderful place to stay. Really quiet village street with excellent pub, and pub accommodation. We had a deluxe double which was actually in one of the cottages a short stagger from the pub! Breakfast was good, evening meals excellent - tho very large portions! The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The village is out of the way, but good and central for lots of north Yorkshire locations

Some people might find the bendy narrow road a challenge, but worth it when you get there!
