My wife and I loved the location and hotel. The staff are polite and helpful. The food is very good and the breakfast just what is needed after an evening in the bar.

We enjoyed everything, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Location is idyllic. A very quiet, tranquil beautiful very small Village. We went as fans of "Heartbeat" to stay in the "Aidensfield Arms" which was a great experience... and ended up falling in love with the real village Goathland. Its lovely to see sheep wandering freely around the village! Directly opposite is Bernie Scripps garage, which is now a souvenir shop inside. Great to see it ! The steam train station (which was also in Harry Potter films) is a 3 mins walk down hill. There's plenty of lovely walks to go on too if you are fit & mobile. Smallish evening menu, food quite nice homemade pub grub, and a good choice of breakfasts in the morning, including vegetarian. Parking is for residents only & is directly outside. Hannah, Mark & all of the staff work very hard looking after everyone & nothing was too much trouble, especially lovely Spanish Laura! We loved it.

We loved everything, but just be aware the hotel bar closes at 10pm which we didn't realise. Residents can buy drinks to take up to their rooms though. The hotel closes its doors at 11pm, but that's fine as it's a very quiet village, so obviously people aren't visiting for it's nightlife.

Fantastic location, great breakfast and all of the staff brilliant. Room was good and the it is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

I loved every bit of my stay 😃 we been go to Scarborough for 8years for our holiday we visit Goathland every time , this year was up there for our 5th wedding anniversary so that's why I booked it 😃

The location was amazing nice and close to all the places you want to see in regards to the TV series Heartbeat and whitby is a must but the stairs to the Abbey are a killer, the breakfasts were lovely and served really well by Hannah
