I stayed at LBV House hotel whilst enroute to Zamora. This is a fantastic hotel with beautiful views of the Duero river and valley. The hotel is a 5 minutes drive to the small town. The hotel is elevated so transport would normally be required. Great carpark in the basement which is serviced by a lift. Great pool and bar area with views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are super comfy with good sized balconies with views of the valley and river Duero. Normal bathroom facilities with shower over bath. Great stop for motorcyclists if doing the N222. Breakfast is good with a great selection to suit all dietary requirements. Highly recommended 5 stars

It was a well appointed hotel, very clean and it had beautiful decor. The garage was very handy and we enjoyed free parking. The breakfast was excellent with food very fresh and bountiful.

We arrived an hour and a half before the recognised arrival time and despite being ready for us we were charged 20 euros to get in and drop off our cases etc after a long journey. Nothing on site for dinner so need to walk/drive to quayside area in town for evening meal. The hotel’s own restaurant not open on our first night but very good and friendly restaurant virtually next door where we enjoyed two meals over our two day stay.

Beautiful setting, view from the pool is stunning, our rooms had really big balconies. The rooms were quite small but comfortable and with decent bathrooms. Staff were generally quite helpful and stored our luggage for us for a few days before arrival. Mr Moustache the cat was very sweet.

Breakfast started at 8am but we needed to leave before then to catch a train. We informed the reception staff the day before and asked if they could arrange a takeaway breakfast but they said we'd be able to access the breakfast from 7.30am so it wasn't a problem. When we came down at 7.35 in the morning we were told then that there was no breakfast until 8am and we couldn't have anything before then. It would be nice if they could be a bit more flexible about this and/or arrange a takeaway breakfast for anyone leaving early. Or at the very least be clear that this is off the cards so we could be prepared. In the end the reception staff managed to get us a small doughnut and coffee each so we had something at least.

The LBV house hotel is spacious, clean, quiet and has a beautiful view of the surrounding area, especially from the pool area. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was strong to provide immediate relief from the August heat. The staff were so kind and friendly and made us feel right at home. We could walk about 15 minutes to a nice dinner place and our tour of Quinta Bomfin. At night we felt less comfortable walking back since it was very dark, but otherwise everything was perfect!

Location. Though it high up on a steep climb but we enjoyed walk ( rather trek) up and down to Pinhao. Parking, big parking under the hotel. Accessible 24hrs. In case the door is closed at night. Room key card works. Moustache. The resident cat. A friendly tuxedo. He’s a delight. If you are a cat person. This is an added advantage.

The linen. Though clean but maybe they just older sheets/blankets. The marks from years of use are clearly visible. The furniture is the same as above, appears old. No negatives on house keeping though. We received the room absolutely clean.

Beautiful pool and stunning views. Mr Moustache (cat) is very charming. Rooms are clean and modern. Food and drinks are very reasonable. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Great location - 10 mins walk down hill to the river and 45-60min walk up hill to the top of the valley.

Breakfast is no thrills but still good food. Food and drink service is a bit slow but as it’s a boutique hotel there aren’t many staff so this is expected, and all were very polite.

This was a lovely quiet location with great views, perfect for exploring wineries. The front desk person was so kind and spoke great English, and recommended a good restaurant. The local cat is super cute (but if you’re allergic to cats be aware that he sits on the sofas in the lounge!). Loved having the balcony and fridge in the room. Do keep in mind that not much in town is open past 6 - just a few restaurants are open for dinner and they close by 9 pm. Definitely out in the country!

Beds and pillows were hard (by American standards).

This is a beautiful small smart and modern hotel set a bit higher up in the valley above Pinhao. We arrived in our own car and parking in the free underground garage was obvious and easy. There’s a lovely swimming pool area with views all around. The Douro Valley is a striking place with steep valleys tightly patterned with vineyards, terraces and olive groves. There isn’t an evening restaurant at the hotel but we knew that and headed down to Pinhao for dinner. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning was really good. The views from the balcony of our room were memorable and this was a lovely setting to stay in. Wish in retrospect we’d stayed 2 nights and explored the Douro more!

First visit to Pinhao area and driving a rental car. The hotel has a great location and very good parking. Great to hop around nearby vineyards. It has an open terrace with a very nice view. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good.

The sun is so hot that not even the blackout curtains could keep out the heat out of the room, most probably due to my visit was in summer and we are living nasty heat waves. In the afternoon sun hits directly the room and the air conditioner could not compensate enough. Got better after sunset. This was the main cause I gave lower rating despite the great location.

Absolutely loved this hotel, we have a room with a balcony looking over the river and it was lovely. The pool and surrounding area was also very relaxing and quiet and overlooked the river. Bar was open all of the time we were there which was good and the breakfast was great, we will certainly stay again. NB the walk to the River and restaurants is steep, we loved the walk but some may find it difficult. The hotel has a restaurant down by the river Douro which was also very nice.
