Our favorite part of this visit was the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire Madison staff. They clearly explained everything, from spa hours, to breakfast options, and reception hours. It was very nice to have the option to get coffee all day on the balcony! The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! The breakfast buffet was a deal, with many options and delicious coffee! The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed! We could even cast our phone apps to watch english tv! Wifi worked very well. And finally, the location was close to everything! The harbour, the beach, shopping, grocery, and historical buildings. We will be back, and The Madison is where we will stay.

Location of the the hotel is in the city. The flat that was booked was located across the street from the hotel in a very good area, nearby shopping areas, restaurants and cafes. The flat was quite spacious and very clean. Each of the bedrooms included a shower. Washing machine is also included. Staff was friendly and helpful. Julian helped fix one of the windows in the room. Cleaning staff was also very friendly. The spa was very nice, with pool, jacuzzi and steam/sauna room. Spa service by Claire was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Location was very good - very close to the main shopping area and just a 10-15 minute walk to the railway station. The lobby and bar area was comfortable and nicely decorated. The 'mini-breakfast' in the bar area was good value for a quick, simple breakfast of coffee and pastries. The full breakfast was OK - not special but just as good as most other hotels. We didn't eat dinner here, but we did have snacks and drinks in the bar and they were good. We didn't use the spa - but it looked good for a short distraction or relax between events - not really big enough for 'proper' gym session. The room was well decorated, very clean and confortable - a little small perhaps The staff were excellent and friendly and informative.

The room was a little cramped (for two adults plus luggage) - but not terribly so. I don't think there is any parking if you are travelling by car - so check this out first.

Our spacious, ultra-modern apartment was like something out of a trendy TV series

Choosing the inclusive rate on booking.com meant we paid €30 per person per day for breakfast. At the hotel it cost €21, which is what booking.com paid them. Julien showed us their remittance advice,

Great location. Very clean comfortable beds. Very helpful and responsive staff spoke English, French and Spanish. Parking very close by for 20 euros a night. Hôtel was very flexible with a late check out which we very much appreciated. Thank you! Looking forward to returning.

In a 2 bedroom with 4 guests we would have appreciated 2 bathrooms, rather than 3 showers and 1 toilet. I suppose difficult to change such things.

Huge beautiful apartment with hotel services. In the heart of the village. Immense rooms, amazing bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen. 2 minutes walk to the pedestrian shopping streets. 5 minutes from the beach. Free access to the hotel’s pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

we had a big room with an incredible view on the city and the mountain. The decoration was warm and modern Basque. the lighting were adaptable to any condition and very smooth. the bed very comfortable, we had a great stay with friendly and efficient service

Superb location in the heart of St Jean De Luz. Staff was friendly, professional, and helpful-- even with my very suspect French skills. Room was exceptionally clean and while small, it was bright and very well appointed. Large bathroom.

The location is ideal. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful. The hotel design is charming. There is a bar on site and breakfast was pretty good, although 17.50 seemed a high price-so we only had a in on site one time.

We made a big splurge to stay here because of the Thalasso spa. I was disappointed because there is no ladder or steps to get into either the pool or the large hot tub (with jets). There were no signs telling you how to turn on the hot tub, luckily some one using it showed me. Considering the small size of the rooms, and the fact that on top of the high price for the rooms, you had to pay for breakfast, we probably would have enjoyed a cheaper hotel without a pool and just have enjoyed the incredible sandy beach instead. Also, the shower had a metal handle which we could not turn to make the water cooler—it took quite a lot of effort from the hotel staff to get it to work. The room is small, so I kept bumping into things.
