House was very close to Penguin center and the beachfront but also set back enough that it was nice and quiet. Owner was very nice and very accommodating, with lots of helpful local information and suggestions, Room was nicely appointed with sea views, very comfy bed and nice walk through shower and bathroom. It was also nice to be able to use the rear, enclosed garden and sit out on the garden furniture to relax. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Place is absolutely gorgeous! It's very private and relaxing, rooms are spacious and sparkly clean! They have everything you need to make yourself a cuppa and some toast. There's a massive shared kitchen downstairs. There's a fully fenced backyard where your furry friends can roam free. The host Ting is absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Will definitely be back.

The Madsen Retreat is close to village of penguin, an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Breakfast was good with a selection from the continental menu to choose from. Ting was very nice, helpful and friendly, ready to assist with anything needed. She also provided good advice to see the local penguin colony.

The included continental breakfast that was delivered to our rooms was very generous and extensive. Lovely and fresh. Ting was very friendly and helpful in providing any assistance or information we needed about the area.

The sitting area was a bit awkward for 4 people upstairs, but we had use of a lovely space downstairs to eat dinner.

Ting was very friendly and provided through information on how to enter property after hours due to late booking and even later arrival. My continental breakfast was amazing, the best l've experienced when staying in Australia. l thoroughly recommend staying there and wished l could have stayed longer.

A continental breakfast is offered, with local pastries included. The managers communications are fantastic, from ensuring check in times are sorted to notifying of breakfast being served to your room and making sure you have everything you need. I felt so at home and the linen is good quality and the bedding extremely comfortable and to wake to a distant ocean just made the days all the more inviting.

They gave us a personal welcome and brought our bags up the stairs. There were a lot of complementary drinks and snacks provided. Great location with free parking. Very safe and secure.

We didn’t get any bathrobes or slippers as advertised.

Ting was a lovely host. Nothing too much trouble. Location was great for the town of Penguin. Penguin is a great quiet spot on the north coast.

The property was immaculate, the rooms were so beautifully set out with everything you need, our host Ting was amazing, she greeted us at the door and was so kind and friendly. Ting was so helpful with any information we needed on places to eat and things to do, we couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay.

Location was great, as we had not long arrived in Penguin. Finding accommodation was pretty hard, as a lot of places were full and we came across your site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Exc
