I’m honestly a bit speechless about my beautiful stay at Hotel Julien. After 10 days of work in Scotland, my five days in Antwerp were a much-needed break. I’d injured my knee a few weeks earlier, and the hotel staff went out of their way to move me to a room near the elevator—which wasn’t easy. They even offered to help me find a doctor, and by some miracle, got me an appointment next door at 11 a.m. that same morning. It was incredibly helpful. The staff truly seemed to care and take pride in their work—real customer service, which feels increasingly rare, especially coming from the U.S. The hotel itself is a hidden architectural gem. From my room, I had a stunning view of the cathedral, beautifully lit up at night. The location is perfect for walking or hopping on the tram, and I always felt safe. Another hidden treasure at the Julien is their serene hammam and an incredible massage therapist—both made my stay feel like a retreat. It was hard to leave what had become a sanctuary for me. I’m deeply grateful to everyone at Hotel Julien for such a memorable and healing stay. I hope to return someday!

My first room was small, plain, and up a long flight of stairs, so the upgrade was a huge gift. Breakfast was delicious but light—though you can order more à la carte. The only downside was getting there from the train; finding the bus depot and a taxi wasn’t easy. I wish the arrival process were simpler.

The hotel is beautifully designed, and it smells amazing as soon as you walk through the door! The whole hotel has a relaxed vibe and every detail is well considered. The staff are so friendly and accommodating they really enhanced the whole experience. We used the spa which was a highlight of our stay, really relaxing and again a beautiful space. So nice we decided to book and stay an extra night!

Beautiful boutique hotel, extraordinary interior design, cozy room, beautiful bar - great view also from the rooftop. Spa was amazing too. Location was right in the middle of the shopping area - amazing shops small and big! Every staff member was very friendly. 😍

Absolutely stunning townhouse, lovely original period details, spacious bedroom with high ceiling, gorgeous bathroom and products, fantastic communal space for drinks by the fire, excellent breakfast, and note perfect professional staff. Location is ideal for walking right into old town Antwerp.

Our room was at the front of the hotel, facing the street. Neither of us slept properly either night due to horrendous, never-ending street noise from people coming home from bars, continued until five in the morning both nights. Do not book a street facing room!

We came down for breakfast at 10:40 and at 11:00 they started to clean away literally everything. I understand that there is a time limit for breakfast (in this case 11:00) after which you cannot enter the breakfast room anymore. But it would be nice to still be able to finish breakfast in a relaxed manner if you have started before the deadline. This felt too much like they wanted to get rid of us.

Beautiful quiet Hotel, love the atmosphere...the natural materials and colours were so relaxing. The service very well and friendly. The breakfast was great, not overdone, perfect choice. Slept well in good beds. Absolute a recommendation and we will return. Thank you so much for creating such an authentic place to stay.

Coffee for breakfast was really the only thing that could improve at Juliens.

We loved the style of the hotel, beautifully renovated old house. We regretted not being able to enjoy a drink at the bar in the evening because of our limited time. Next time we will defintely make time for enjoying the bar and salon. Rooms were clean, and offered all the nescessities needed. Bonus for the brand of cosmetics (Aesop) used!
