We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was stunning. Magnificent views from our balcony and also when lying in bed. Bed was extremely comfortable but the highlight was the private spa-bath with a sea view. We sipped our champagne in the spa-bath and watched the sun go down. Breakfast was also delicious. Saw whales and dolphins aplenty from our balcony. We will certainly be back !

The air conditioning unit outside our room on the balcony is very old and rusted and leaks water onto the balcony floor making the tiles very slippery and dangerous. It has seen better days and needs to be replaced.

Great location on the beach and the room was clean and tidy with a very reasonable mini-bar. Staff were helpful and attentive and the breakfast options were really good. Loved the view and the jacuzzi!

Not having 24/7 staff available or on call. Insufficient parking spaces for all guest: All parking spaces at the Bay Lodge were occupied on our return one evening and there was nowhere local available for on street safe parking. It resulted in us having to contact the owner directly to inform them that we'd had to double park behind another residents vehicle and we then remained ready to move our vehicle at short notice.

The 180deg sea views were exceptional from Superior Suite 1- so close to the ocean! The breakfast was amazing- staff accomodated our special dietary requirements. All staff were so friendly! Modern finishes in the room- spacious, neat and clean. Loved the little extras provided ie tea , coffee AND hot chocolate! We were so so comfortable and wished we could have spent more time here. Direct access to the beach to go for a stroll or fishing. Lodge is close to 2 shopping malls.

Did not like that we had to move rooms the 2nd night. We had booked the superior room online, however after payment, the room automatically changed to the Luxury room that had less sea views. Upon querying and request, staff accomodated us in our original booking for the 1st night. Rooms should not be advertised as available if they actually aren't as this can be misleading and disappointing. A smaller issue but would be nice if fixed- twice the showers got cold midway - not sure if too many people are using the same geyser.

We booked the presidential suite and the room was amazing, so was the view from the balcony! All staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was great too - especially the croissants! One morning we even saw a huge group of Dolphins swimming through the bay from our table at breakfast. Parking was also very easy and driving to get food in the evenings was only ever about 10 minutes, Bay Lodge was a great stop on our journey and we'd happily return.

The room was awesome breakfast was define the loaction is spectacular the staff are the best we will definitely book there again and recommend it to any one visiting Mosselbay....I wish i could go there every weekend .....it was the best experience keep up Baylodge you our new home when we are in Mosselbay🤩🫡🥰

Our stay was an absolute delight from start to finish. The room was impeccably designed, exuding a sense of cleanliness and comfort that made us feel right at home. The venue itself was a treasure trove of entertainment, offering everything from pool tables and ping pong to a TV area and dartboard. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the beautiful pool, a tranquil oasis sheltered from the wind, perfect for lazy afternoons under the sun. And oh, the view! Overlooking the beach, it was simply breathtaking, and the easy access via steps at the rear of the property made beach outings a breeze. The staff deserves special commendation for their warmth and hospitality, even allowing us to use the facilities before official check-in. Our only regret? Not staying for more nights. This was truly a stay to remember, and we can't wait to return for a longer visit.

"Unfortunately", our superior Suite was still occupied by other guests who had extended their stay. As a result, we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite. The sea view, the space, the bathroom and the dressing area were amazing. It was a real shame that we only stayed for one night. The breakfast, which also had a sea view, was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I am in love with the location and when I walked into my room I was delighted and exclaimed how I love this place. Breakfast was a la carte and very well prepared. Mini bar available as well as snacks and I enjoyed the Nespresso machine in my bedroom and I was impressed by the quality of the products provided.

Room was spacious and practical. We had the courtyard room so was a little enclosed with less light. But we were only staying a nite. But breakfast in the morning is beautiful overlooking the ocean and direct beach access.

A little further out to Mossel Bay town centre. But it’s only a short ride away.

An absolutely beautiful location, with view over the ocean. The hotel itself is very modern, well decorated and has a lot of facilities to enjoy yourself (lounge room, game room, restaurant, pool, jacuzzi, fireplace, braai). The rooms are very spacious and includes a lot of features, anything you might need is there. The beds are great, large in size and very comfortable. The staff is incredible friendly and proactively supporting you in anything you need, they even offer massages (at a very reasonable price). At the edge of the terrace there is a nice seating area where you can either sit or lay, enjoy the sun and the sea. Quality of the breakfast is really good, offering a wide range of options. Limited parking is available in front of the hotel and it is only a short drive (approx. 5 minutes) to the city center.

Nothing is actually negative about this hotel. The only thing to take into account is that it has a lot of levels, so not very wheelchair friendly.
