Initially was booked in to the room next to reception so it was a little noisy. Second and 3rd night Johann moved us to another room upstairs. The rooms upstairs had access to a shared balcony. Johann was very informative of places to eat, how to get around, places to purchase food etc.

Staff doing the cleaning of the rooms were a little noisy if you wanted to sleep in late. Nice place with wooden floors. Shared kitchen area with fridges, a microwave and basic cooking.

Really cozy and nice place! We enjoyed our stay so much. Especially impressed by the owner, who was so helpfull and kind with everything. He helped us alot about what to do in Mossel Bay, and when we left to go to Hermanous, he suggested us to drive another route (62) to our next destination, which was an amazing advice, that gave us such a big experience! We give our greatest recommendations to Bay Vista!

I liked the way the owner received us, recommended another room for us. The venue is lovely, and safe. The owner is hands-on, and very accomodative. There are various types of rooms. I like the set-up, and the view over the Bay.

Such a cosy place to stay. I felt very safe there alone. Johan was very accommodating and welcoming. He was good at telling me where best to eat and what to do in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. Will stay here again next time I’m in the area.

I slept on the bottom bunk and I could see the years worth of stains in the mattress, very off putting.

Thank you for upgrade to lovely room in Sandstone Manor. Ocean views from upstairs balcony. Quiet at night, friendly staff. Close to beach, restaurants and Saint Blaize walking track. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic value for money in a beautiful coastal town. Johann greeted us warmly and was keen to help ensure our stay was as pleasurable as possible. He succeeded and we had a great night. Everything worked well, and having access to a kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meal.

The sweetest and most welcoming hosts. When our blackwater tubing was cancelled, they helped us arrange something else. The rooms were also clean and spacious.

Convenient self catering kitchen. Open view TV in the dormitories working great. Slept in a squeaking bunk bed. There are bathrooms and showers.

Pillow smells funky. Parking is on the public street outside.

The location of the property was fantastic. We were able to sit on the balcony in the morning and enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Just a few minutes walking away from a hiking trail along the coast and some charming restaurants on the water front. The owner was able to give us some tips and recommendations which made the rest of our roadtrip all the better.
