This is my second time staying here and we had a big family room, which was wonderful. Lots of space, comfortable bed and sofa, I like the motion sensor on the bathroom light, the fan was very effective when it got a bit warm, the towels are a good size to get round you (large), excellent breakfast, love the bar/bistro so you can have lunch and dinner there (which happened one day when I was working)... the hotel and staff are fantastic.

I don't think these exist, but it's sometimes a strain on the old knees getting bags up and down the stairs, so if there were ground floor bedrooms that would be great. The pillows are a little squidgy for me, but my husband likes them. The bathroom mirror light was out of action, but no big deal. It might be useful to have a water cooler on the first floor bedroom level.

I really enjoyed staying here. Situated not far from the M5/M42 it's an ideal place when visiting Birmingham and the Midlands. Staff were friendly and the level of customer service I received was first class. Room was a good size for a single, had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Good view of the grounds and the various rabbits!. Buffett breakfast in the morning was superb, and was even given a pot of coffee rather than just a cup. Overall I would certainly stay here again as it provides excellent value for money.

WiFi was a bit patchy in the hotel. Wasn't terrible but it kept disconnecting me, would normally rely on mobile data but with the hills nearby the signal wasn't the greatest. Tea/coffee in room could have been better, only had two sugars provided. Two minor points really, wouldn't stop me staying here again, overall excellent.

The Hillcrest is a smart well run Hotel with all the facilities that you would expect, all areas were smart and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food options included a bar and restaurant menu, all reasonably priced and very tasty. There is a very relaxed atmosphere around the venue and the grounds around the facility are well kept. Ample parking is available and the breakfast has a wide and plentiful choice of food.

Not a huge issue but the barrier control to the venue can be confusing on first entry. Maybe signage or on-line details may help visitors.

Rooms very clean and funished to a good quality standard. Nice and comfortable throughout the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly creating a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Nice breakfast included. Situated within the stunningly beautiful Lickey Country Park. I saw deer, sheep and rabbits hopping around outside my window, plus owls hooting at night. A beautiful part of the country. Hope to stay here again. Would definately host an event here too. Many thanks.

I booked the property as I needed a stopover to break up the journey from York, where I had been working, to South Wales where I was going to see a friend. Perfect location as it was just over half way, and right near the M5 and M42 junction. Hadn't realised it was actually a conference centre / HQ of the NASUWT union but it was absolutely fine. Had a conference centre feel about it, but no problem for me. Warm room, comfy bed, nice shower and bathroom, wifi was good and there was a TV. Compact and bijoux but fine for me as I arrived at 8.30pm and left about 12 hours later. You probably wouldn't want to stay here if you were having a weekend away, leisure trip for more than one night but it was great for me. Breakfast excellent - buffet serve yourself, everything you could wish for.

Nothing from my perspective.

Brilliant location. My son was having a weeks treatment at the Royal orthopaedic hospital. This is about 15 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is set in its own grounds, but just outside the hotel and across the main road is Lickey Park. This is a beautiful country part of about 500 acres. So after a hard day at the hospital, you can go and walk in the park and relax. The staff are extremely helpful, the food is brilliant. Some of the decor in the hotel it’s probably from the 1980s, but who cares it’s really really clean. We stayed in the accessible rooms in the accommodation block. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable.

Absolutely nothing.

Beautiful building, loads of character, charm and seeping with history. Fabulous, rooms were delightful, very well designed. Being in a double room with a step up shower could have been difficult but a very well placed grab rail was a great advantage. Spotlessly clean, warm, and quiet. Could not fault it

Breakfast room a little cramped but as an event establishment can only expect many guests dining at one time. Maybe limited access for disabled couple as only singles on disabled level (but that was only at my stay and assured that was being rectified) do not have any detrimental points about it

The breakfast and evening meals were excellent & all well presented. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The location was excellent for us as we were visiting family in Bromsgrove and the price for the 2 nights we were there was well worth it considering it also included free parking, free Wi-Fi and breakfast.

The only thing really was that when we stay next time, we'd like the room to be a bit further away from the vents and extractors from the kitchen etc. Unfortunately our sleep was disturbed due to the constant drone of the systems.

The staff were very pleasant & helpful. My room, although snug, was adequate & bed comfortable. The heater was very adjustable. Breakfast was plentiful & it was good to have a choice of restaurant or Bistro, for the pocket & the food was very good.

Unfortunately, the walls must have been ill insulated & a neighbour's snoring kept me awake. The window had no means of staying open for ventilation. Having a shower was interesting & a bit dangerous as the light was on a timed movement sensor & couldn't be re-activated from within the shower area. It was reported. The restaurant & bistro areas were rather canteen like with basic functional chairs & tables. Could have had a better atmosphere with different furniture.
