We have never been to a hotel where the staff was so warm, welcoming, and responsive to our needs. When we checked in, they provided us with free transit passes for the weekend and also let us borrow umbrellas for our stay, and no matter who was working, they treated us with real attention and kindness. Even on our last day, when we realized our early train would prevent us from sitting down to the breakfast we had paid for, they let us box up a breakfast and provided a bag as well. The room was neat and so comfortable, with a mattress that is not too hard and not too soft. The sheets were a nice natural material, and it was a nice touch to have ceramic mugs to drink tea out of, robes and slippers, and windows with a beautiful view of the lake and Lausanne. I can't wait to come back here.

The hotel is nice, clean, the room is very spacious, we recommend it.

We liked the hotel. I just want to add a small note. Perhaps we didn't do much research at first, but I was actually suspicious of the name. The hotel also has a contract with the hospital, and patients stay there. This should be stated well in advance, because you'll encounter various patients in the elevators, corridors, and restaurants, such as a patient walking around with a catheter in their hand, or various seriously ill patients in wheelchairs. There's no problem, but it's good to know this beforehand.

Very clean and modern, generous and high quality toiletries without fragrance, hypoallergenic bedding, restaurant in house, breakfast w/many options including fresh fruits/vegetables, proteins, espresso including decaf, gluten-free bread, grain-free vegan milk; peaceful view of lake and mountains from 4th floor room and restaurant; window (with safety) opens to get fresh air

Reception area and sitting areas in the halls are somehow minimally inviting to spend time there. Light control panels are not so practical to pick the right option especially in the dark or if you can’t see well

The place was immaculately clean, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

There were some difficulties accessing the WiFi, which were eventually sorted out. Also, We arrived during a heat wave and were on an upper floor with only one of the windows that would open. This made it difficult to cool the room to a comfortable level. These were abnormal weather conditions for the region. If I had been given the option to request the window to be opened prior to our arrival, I would have definitely said „yes, please!“.

The whole experience was exceptional, very kind staff, from reception to restaurant, rooms spacious, super clean, and quiet, highly recommended hotel. Perfect location, 2 minutes to local Metro, excellent restaurant with very friendly staff, opposite hotel great coffee shop, nice walk down to City centre. Included secure car park, even with larger car, you can find space and from main garage lift directly to your room. Bathroom amazing, very spacious and feels like home. The nature of Hotel des Patients is to bring humanity back and it is all about health, comfort and human approach. Thank you for lovely experience and making the stay memorable!

In the restaurant, there could be more variety of food options (both breakfast and dinner), but overall, we were very happy with the selection. Given the nature of the hotel (Hotel des Patients), it is the experience that matters and how people make you feel and the overall hospitality. We are looking forward to another stay in future.

This hybrid hotel/hospital may have a strange atmosphere. Just be a bit prepared. It is a neat idea and newborns are nice to see at breakfast. I somehow missed this whole scene – even though it is pretty clear in the hotel name (‘patients’). Conversely, this is great for relatives of patients, and obviously close to hospital. Pros: Safe Shower (a rarity). Very good breakfast. Fairly near a metro stop (a bit of uphill climb with heavy luggage). Comfy Bed. Good size and adequate towels.

CON: Smells of disinfecting sprays in the halls were a bit overwhelming at times. It is fairly far from ‘downtown’ spots, although the metro stop is close. No easy access to 24/7 tea/coffee. Special requests seem a bit off-putting, although we are certain staff would have entertained them. The lightening system in the room was a bit difficult to figure out. Everything was modernized and automated.

Excellent buffet breakfast in quality, quantity, with variety of fruit, cheese, bread, oat and many other things! Very nice and spacious seating at the breakfast with view on the city and the alps through the windows Super clean and super quiet room during the day and the night, with the view of the tree, very spacious room Personnel at the reception very friendly and helpful, professional, quick check-in and check-out We really like at the breakfast to see the 2-3 mothers with their 5 days old babies!! Hotel is very easy to reach with the Metro M2, it is only 4 min from the metro. We also came to the hotel walking from the center, there is a steep pedestrian walk

The staff were excellent, they were all very helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable & the evening menu was very good, if you didn’t want to go out again in the evening. We were given a travel pass each which you can use for buses, metro & trains, this enabled us to visit different areas totally free of charge.

Not a lot, we enjoyed our stay although it was a strange concept being a hospital & hotel, it was lovely seeing all the newborn babies! We do think this is a very good idea.

The hotel is close to the hospital area and also has some medical clinics on its first floors (and you will see medical staff and patients around). Some may be deterred by these, but for us these were positive aspects, as the hotel and the rooms are very clean and the area is very quiet. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast offered sufficient choices. The hotel is close to the metro station and you can easily use the excelent metro system of Lausanne to quickly get to all the areas of interest in the city (you can also get to the old town in 10-15 minutes) - you should know that you have a free pass for Lausanne public transport for the duration of your stay (in this hotel or in any other hotel). All in all, a great hotel that we gladly recommend to anyone (and we will use them when we get back to Lausanne).

The staff was good the breakfast was great and plentiful.

What I did not like is that the picture that was shown for the view from my room was not accurate. The view I had was no where near the pictures shown on your site . I blame both booking.com and the hotel for this. If I had known what my view was going to be I would not have paid extra for a room size I did not need. How you as a service do not double check what you put out on your site is very shoddy. It was like a bait and switch scam. To say I would recommend using booking.com would be far from the truth.
