The owner's manager's Are really nice people. They have been very accommodating the facilities. Our clean well maintained. And it's a very safe place I drive for lyft, so my car is my business and I feel very safe parking, my car overnight. The location is perfect, as it is right near the freeway entrance. Also, conveniently located near several restaurants. The hotel has an icemaker which is extremely convenient as I carry a large stanley cup with water and I can always fill up my cup with ice which is a great convenience. It is by go to place whenever in santa cruz

There's really nothing I can say that. I don't like about the hotel. Everything suits my needs

If you are traveling it was right off the freeway but in a quiet little nook that was residential on the side of it so it was quiet. Parking space was near room. The clerks were nice. The bed was comfy, nice size room, hot water, I took a nice hot bath. Clean, had a little table and chairs, microwave, mini fridge, coffee&coffee maker, large screen tv, heater. A Dennys Rest. nearby and shops. The famous Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk and Pier and downtown main St, is within 2 miles. And redwood forest.

The Pine Sol smell that hit me as soon as I went in! It’s too strong and ugh! But it’s better than the Fabuloso strong cheap cleaner smell that these cheaper places use but the place would be dirty. It needs to smell lightly fresh not smelly. The heater box was very loud but ok as long as it works I didn’t mind it hid the sound of the fridge that went loud one night.

I have stayed in at least ten different motels in SC bc I am a surfer and live 2 hrs away. This place is by far my preferred spot for a variety of reasons. There's a nice smart TV with remote, good picture and functioning remote. The room has a good 4 cup coffee pot, not a single serve type thing. The shower/bath/toilet are separate from the sink/kitchenette area. There's a window in the shower. There's a shelf over the fridge to store food. The fridge works and has a separate freezer compartment, kept my ice cream frozen. Parking right out front and easy access to the room. Staff is friendly, informative, and on time. All around pleasant experience, which in these days isn't easy to come by. Thanks to National 9!

Nothing really, I felt satisfied and I have stayed here like 5 times.

Clean comfortable room at value oriented prices

The office and lobby is STILL closed "due to COVID" The clerk is STILL wearing a mask(?) Why the fear? It is a little insulting for a business that should be WELCOMING. If you are still that fearful, close the business and lock yourself in a sealed room.

The room was large enough for my surfboards and I liked that the mini fridge and coffee were in their own corner next to the sink. The coffee pot was clean and big enough for two good cups. The room had a ceiling fan, the lighting was soft, the bedside table had a lamp with USB plugs. At checkin I was granted my request for a ground floor room to make it easier to get the boards in and out. The staff was friendly and the area was quiet, no noise at all from traffic.

The bottom sheet of the mattress was not fitted so it slipped off a little. Some other people have commented on the distance to the center/boardwalk, but since I have a car and was just going to surf, it didn't matter to me.

For the price, this is an exceptional value. Family operated experiance shows through in all of the little things that make it feel like home; Iron and ironing board, coffee pot and coffee, and other things like that arranged so neatly on a shelf. And granted we had an inside corner room but for being (conveniently)located right by the freeway, It was surprizingly quiet. We did not use the pool but it looked beautiful - would definately book again ! (-:

I really can't think of anything I didn't like

An excellent pool and a location, this immaculately clean and welcoming Motel met my expectations. It had spacious beds, a microwave and a fridge in a very good condition, as well as a perfect hot shower and a bath. Staff members were kind and courteous and other guests quiet and respectful. Also, the parking was right next to our room, which was quite convenient.

Slippery floors in a bathroom might need extra mats to prevent falls; the coffee machine didn't work very well.

The staff were very friendly. My boyfriend and I got back pretty late one night and there was no parking left, the male worker came out and opened up a space for us in the front which was very sweet. This location was also less than 5 minutes away from free boardwalk parking with a free shuttle all day until 10:30 pm that takes you to the boardwalk and back, this was really nice.

The service wasn’t great. The WiFi kept disconnecting and the areas overall service was really bad. Not much if the hotels fault but the hotel WiFi was not the best either. Also the remote has YouTube and Netflix options but they don’t work which was a bummer but they had a lot of good channels so it was fine.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Very friendly and family-owned, very clean and updated rooms with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. Nice big bathtub for soaking. A really great value for a Friday night on a holiday weekend.

The location is on a busy corner, right next to the onramp to the highway. There aren't really any GOOD restaurants or stores within a 2-3 block walk. But it's not as noisy as I expected, actually!

I felt very safe there. The parking lot at night Is fully lighted, there are security cameras. The room has everything I needed. It has a desk to sit down and makes it possible To sit down and eat dinner or work. The owners Are very pleasant,friendly and easy to deal with? The room was quiet. Once the door is closed, you hear nothing outside.

I honestly can't think of anything that I didn't like about the hotel.
