The highlight of the stay were the thoughtful, friendly and helpful staff. They always went over and above, had suggestions when needed and made us laugh. The property is centrally located, close to parks, the science museum and short ride to the main city areas. It's beautiful to walk around, and the spa offers good massages, jacuzzi and sauna.

The rooms were warm and made it uncomfortable to sleep. Please do something about air-conditioning so that it cools even more. During busy times at breakfast, we felt under served and near closing hours at the restaurant, staff seemed to be rushing us. Although they were courteous, it didn't feel very welcoming at these times. Overall it's the helpful and welcoming staff that makes it a great place to stay and we were grateful and delighted with most of them.

Given the time it has been in existence, This is a true touch of luxury and excellent service. Your demands are met in no time, the staff are always happy to serve you. the property was good. however, they charged almost SR900 more than what I reserved on booking.com.

booking.com showed me price of SR3,600 with taxes whereas the hotel charged SR4,500.

The food in the reception area could be of better quality

Very warm hospitality and the staff are doing more than what they need to do. Hotel landscape is also out of expectation with beautiful walking path for morning exercise and it's very lovely to hear the birds singing in the morning and seeing lovely garden of roses.

Electricity can be a bit challenging. Sometimes it goes up and down but at least the hotel gets the electricity up back very quickly.

I loved the breakfast. Everyone was incredibly polite. I wasn’t feeling well and housekeeping knocked on the door to see if I needed anything cleaned. When he saw I didn’t feel well, he asked if I wanted water. It was incredibly kind!

The use of luxurious facilities, the conscientiousness and helpfulness of the staff, and the breakfast buffets, lunch buffets and dinner buffers which facilitate foreigners as well as to feed.

The lack of modernity of the elevators and the toilets in general (old style of toilets 🚽 and elevators without the use of magnetic access cards). Insufficiently equipped gym.

The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The restaurants on the property are good. The ability to get out and walk is very nice. It’s a beautiful property that we will stay at again the next time we are in Ethiopia.

This is a stately hotel, with old-school vibes. Location is excellent, in the centre of Addis, but very quiet thanks to the surrounding grounds. The (heated) pool is excellent.

The hotel is at the turning point from quaint to outdated. In five years, it will either have been renovated or will be down a notch or two.
