The location was very good for glampers. The room was clean slough it did have a stale smell probably from smokers. The refrigerator worked perfectly as did the microwave. Shower was decent. The front and back doors were solid. Felt very safe. Thinking being right on the highway there would be a lot of noise but that was not a problem. Walls are thick. We had people on both sides of us and didn’t hear a thing. Nice patio with and awesome view. The pool and chaise lounges were very nice. They had a hot tub but I did not go in it. Restaurant was good.

The room did could use some finishing touches. It seemed that they painted the ceiling but got some on the very nice wallpaper and didn’t bother to clean it. But that is being picky.

The setting of the resort (views, proximity to the national park) was great. The experience of sleeping in a wagon was very interesting. The staff were very kind at all moments. The food at the restaurant was good.

Sleeping at the wagon proves to be a little challenging if you are sensitive to noise during your sleep, as you can easily hear the wind blowing on the canopy of the wagon. Same thing when it rains. Other challenges include: not a lot of space available and having to walk outdoors to go to the bathroom. Other than that, it was a fun experience, especially for kids.

Location (easy access to Capitol Reef NP), room amenities (loved having Starbucks Keurig coffee) and view.

Staff was very indifferent. Check in was perfunctory, Check out was weird - like it was an annoyance that I let the person know we were out of our room. Room was on the lower level and a lot of noise came through from the room(s) above. Decor and furnishings were in good condition but dated.

The rooms we were in were more motel style, but this resort offers a variety of accommodations that I think would be really fun for kids/families. The rooms were clean and quiet. The food at the onsite restaurant was good and the staff was very friendly. We also opted for the horse ride and that was really fun even if we had a late start time. They were accommodating to our last minute booking. And the horses were well cared for.

The bathroom was a bit small, and there was not a lot of places to hang a towel outside the bathroom where there is the separate sink area. Also, if you didnt have the blinds closed, anyone could have walked by and seen into the room.

The proximity of the resort was right outside of Capital Reef park. The room was clean and up to date., The view from the room was spectacular! The restaurant, Pioneers Kitchen served a breakfast and dinner. Becuase of being out into the evening we ate breakfast there more than dinner. The servings were generous! The restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating.

Everything was lovely!

We booked a king room with balcony and were given exactly that — a wonderful view of red rocks. Room had fridge, microwave, coffee machine, comfy bed and all clean. Room was serviced promptly. Too chilly to use pool unfortunately but looked good. Close to the park and Rim Rock restaurant across the road served excellent food with a view.

Nothing I can think of — we are staying at lots of places this road trip and this was good value for money compared to others.

Its location plus the backdrop we had from the balcony room was stunning. We were fortunate with the weather to use the balcony both morning and evening. Also Shaun who served us in The Pioneer Kitchen was attentive without being unctuous and made us feel comfortably welcome.

The aircon kept failing daily but the staff responded immediately and we were never left in an uncomfortable state. The hotel MUST change the script the poor receptionists have to recite to customers. It’s off putting; confusing and meaningless as you can’t keep up with the patter they have to put out. It is NOT a good welcome to customers and sets a bad tone as a new comer to the hotel. Put it within the booking confirmation so that the customer is already aware before arriving.

Location is close to Capitol Reef NP. Clean and comfortable beds. View of the mountains was a plus. Typical hotel room (not a “resort” if you are looking for something upscale).

Breakfast was an extra $40 charge even though it said breakfast was included when I booked the room. There wasn’t an indication that I saw stating that “breakfast is included AT AN EXTRA CHARGE.” This was not a “resort.” It was an average hotel room. Breakfast should’ve been complimentary.

The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, we had a great view and the pool and the hot tub were great.

The front desk staff was very unfriendly. We arrived at 3:38 PM and they said the room was not ready and to come back at 4 PM. I went back at 4:02pm and the guy acted like he had never seen me before. He said he needed to call housekeeping to see if the room was ready… after a few minutes on the by phone he said your room is ready! Another disappointing problem was that we went to breakfast the following morning and sat for over 10 minutes and no one came to even ask us if we needed coffee. The staff seemed annoyed and overwhelmed at the restaurant. We ended up getting up and leaving and going to a nearby place for breakfast the Rock Reef Cafe which was excellent!

Had a wonderful view of the red sandstone buttes from our room. The resort was very close, less than 10 minutes, to Capital Reef NP which was our main reason for visiting the area. Had nice amenities with a pool/hot tub, outdoor fire-pit, and laundry facilities. We greatly appreciated the on-site restaurant and walking distance to several other restaurants after a day of hiking.

None.
