We love this place and stay here every time we are in the area visiting Capitol Reef! Our meals at the steakhouse have always been amazing!! It was busier than we’ve ever seen it, but still very quiet and we slept well! We didn’t use the pool or hot tub this visit - but saw plenty of other guests enjoying them! Decent continental breakfast, always appreciated. Very clean rooms, comfy beds.
Silly thing to mention, but the place has lost a bit of its ‘kitschy’ charm - something we’ve always loved about it. We missed seeing the cowboy/cowgirl statues in the lobby & the ‘kick off your boots and stay a while’ pillows on the beds.

Very unique experience! Rustic, yet comfortable. We stayed in a conestoga wagon with our family of 5. This was a fun change of pace from staying in hotels during our trip to see the Mighty 5 parks. Definitely a memorable highlight. Staff was great. Steakhouse for dinner was also very very good! The Mac & cheese was amazing. My son loved his steak. My husband and I had salad, also good, with yummy strawberry rhubarb cobbler with ice cream for dessert.
Visitors should just realize they are staying in a tent essentially. The wagon was hot and a little stuffy smelling until the sun went down. It was also very windy, which got loud during the night. That is just part of the experience though. The pool was nice, although the walls of the enclosed area could use a wipe down. More screen open during the day.

Location perfect for both Torrey town and Capitol Reef NP - on the edge of the town opposite tourist info. Restaurant on site was very handy for both breakfast and evening meal, if you don't expect fine dining of course. Subway nearby to buy to-go lunch to the park. Wi-Fi worked fine. Hard mattress and small pillows - was perfect for me. Did not use the pool but families seemed happy with it.
To be very clear, it's a motel, with parking outside your room entrance. Usual noisy air conditioning, spartan room furniture, leaking faucet in the tube. Breakfast includes hot and cold items + some fruits, good for US standards but not great. Overpriced laundry.

Overall it was a good stay at a good value. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The atmosphere of the property was pleasant and charming. There was an ChargePoint EV charger on site (6.6kwh) at flat rate of $2.50/hour.
Areas for improvement- front desk lady was very kind but seemed overwhelmed, the computer system was slow and it took over 30 minutes to check in. There was a long line despite most people already having had a reservation. The restaurant was decent but the food seemed very overpriced for the quality. We got salmon and steak, and the salmon seemed of lower quality and the steak was overcooked. Mashed potatoes were delicious however and the kids enjoyed their meals. The breakfast in the morning was a bit of a disappointment but only because it was advertised as a big warm breakfast buffet and it was simply pancakes, watered down eggs and potatoes. Overall we’d stay there again.

Location was great. Most wonderful pancakes for breakfast! Yum! Restaurant on premises offered very good food!
I did not expect it to be more of a motel versus hotel. Wish they had separate bottles of shampoo and conditioner instead of combo. The room was missing a sign to hang on the door for do not disturb. We asked to have room see skipped in the front office but the room got it so message was not passed on. There was breakfast included but wish there was self service tea station offered throughout the day. Luckily, we were able to get hot water from the restaurant!

The location was perfect for visiting capital reef. Breakfast was pretty good ( which is good because there is NOTHING else around)
Room had a strange smell when we first entered, like they were trying to cover up smoke smell or something. It did get a little better once the fan was turned on. The HVAC was ancient and didn’t work all that well. The rooom was so hot even though we had the air set to the “coldest” setting and it was only 20 degrees outside. Check in took forever. Not sure why. The woman checking people in seemed very distracted by any noise or person, and didn’t seem to know what exactly was happening.

We stayed in a wagon which was a unique experience. It was comfortable for our family of four. The wagon was clean and well arranged to maximize space. There was a small air conditioning unit that didn’t circulate air that well but there was a nice breeze so we were able to open the flaps and get air flow.
Like all camping experiences, the noise of other guests can really make or break your stay. Unfortunately the night we stayed there was a group of college aged guys who were very loud by the fire pit until after midnight which made sleep difficult.

The whole place was very clean. The beds and showers comfortable. Clever use of a long bench for setting things or sitting. The rooms are ample in size and allowed us to join our traveling partner to play a game or two in the room. That a nice and dinner and breakfast option was available on site was an added bonus. Staff were all friendly.
We waited a bit for service once seated for dinner, but they were busy and our server was apologetic and very quick once we ordered. Food was very good both dinner and breakfast. The pancakes are great.

Location was very convenient for the most remote National park in Utah; Capitol Reef. The room was well decorated with a subtle cowboy theme and the beds were very comfortable after long days of hiking.
The water heater didn’t work on our second night. Breakfast did not offer many options for anyone with dietary restrictions. No water bottle filler which we would use multiple times daily elsewhere in the desert.

Amazingly close to Capitol Reef, easy parking right outside the room, great views of the mountains from the parking lot, steakhouse was delicious for dinner and you can’t beat not having to drive to dinner after a long day of touring! Kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub, and that had great views too! Room was spacious with lots of luggage space and dual sinks. Breakfast was standard fare but nice enough with eggs and pancakes and cereal. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Air conditioning didn’t make the room very cold even on a cool fall night. It was fine but not as cool as we would have liked even on lowest setting.
