Skyview is a boutique hotel in Torrey, UT. Torrey is the most convenient place to stay on your way from Bryce Canyon National Park to Capitol Reef National Park, or to stay after a visit to Capitol Reef. The hotel is just outside Torrey, but Torrey is so small, that's not a far distance. The hotel has artwork in every room and outside the rooms. It has a rooftop deck to enjoy the stars and a fire pit you can make complimentary s'mores around. The hotel supports a local coffee roasting company and the rooms come with snacks and drinks to enjoy during your stay. The view outside our room was outstanding!

It was very different, we wanted that experience The separate bathroom was nice, I knew we had to go outside for our own, and it was keyed. Very nice! Gave us robes. The room was very nice, water, pop, snacks provided. Fire pit for 2.5 at night
I was very disappointed in the fact I booked in July and was let down by NOT having an opening in the top of the dome to look at the stars! That’s why I had booked this! I tried to get them to give me 1 of the 3 Only that they had but NO. No tv in the room, we really wanted to watch the football game on Sunday night! NOPE. Could not! Boiling hot room when we went in, so we had to cool it down, but in the evening could not warm it up, others were also saying they froze all night. Even had 3 big blankets on! I heard though that they were closing them down now for the winter!

There is so much to like. They got so many things right. But the views from the rooms are magical. This is by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. This place is very special. Highlights: AppleTV with streaming channels included. Free treats and pure water bottles. Great coffee bar. Clean, spacious, uplifting, modern design. Soundproofing. Exquisite atmosphere.
To say what I didn’t like would be unfairly nitpicking. The sink was one of those gorgeous modern wide flat shallow sinks. Great to look at but the function is less than ideal. But hey with maid service you don’t have to clean it so yeah, nitpicking.

The Skyview Hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed two nights there. It is supper clean, spacious, absolutely quiet. The staffs members were very friendly and informative. There was a was huge bonus: the star gazing at night was so amazing, we were lucky to see the stars full in the sky. This year, we tried to see stars in Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde. But the Skyview is the best place for us to see stars and the Milky Way than all the other places. During the 3 days, we did the off road drives of the Loop the Fold, the Cathedral Valley Loop; hiked Grand Wash to Cassidy Arch Trail, Kohab Canyon Trail, Hickman to Rim Overlook Trail and more. Without the comfort and relaxation provided. Y thee we Skyview Hotel, we weren’t able to complete these challenging, demanding hikes and off road drivings.
Everything is great!

Exceeded our expectations! We have nothing but great things to say about the Skyview hotel. The service is excellent, attention to detail is well thought of and the views are simply breath taking. The hotel also provides a lot of locally sorts refreshments free of charge including a local Coffe with a french press machine! The room was sound proof to a tea! On top of that you get a boutique like feel and the hotel was not pricey at all for what you get. One of the owners personally helped us with check in and check out and helped us out with great local recomendations and tips. We could not have loved this place more if we tried. Wishing this hotel many more overly satisfied guests!

I had been curious / skeptical about the 9.8 rating but it is REAL. Hotel sets on a beautiful landscape and even my 67 year old mom noticed all the details how everything is thoughtfully put together - from the quiet while effective AC / bathroom vent to the practicality of furnitures, from the high quality toiletries to the snacks. The hotel staff was more than helpful and gave us a lot of local recommendations. We were shocked how many good food / coffee options Torrey has to offer now vs. when I travelled in Torrey 10-15 years ago (had to eat mostly McDonald back in the days)

Great location. Close to Capitol Reef National Park and just outside of the town of Torrey. Awesome views from the rear patio. Everything was new and clean, being that the hotel just recently opened. The bathroom was large and had a hand held shower head which I prefer. Parking is free and just outside your room, which is convenient. But, it is a dirt and gravel lot. The beds were large and comfortable and the complimentary drinks and snacks were refilled daily.
There was no place to store your clothes. No closets or drawers at all. You live out of your suitcase. There are hooks on the wall to hang jackets or backpacks, but that's it. If you're not accustomed to TV streaming, you may find watching TV a bit of a challenge. Everything is App based on the TV and the lone remote is very sensitive to touch. The heater/air conditioner is adequate, but very slow to react to temperature setting changes. It takes approximately 3 minutes for the unit to react to the changes you make. The furniture in the room is very uncomfortable and odd. It looks and feels like cheap metal patio furniture.

It was different- in a very good way! Room was airy and extremely comfortable. Private patio looking out to nothing but vistas and night sky. Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful and accommodating. Local restaurants great. National Park on the doorstep. What more could you want. Would definitely try and book a room with a hot tub or one of the ‘glamping’ domes next time, but if I ended up in the same room I’d be more than happy. Great place.
Nothing, everything was top notch.

Wow!!! What an amazing hotel. From the minute we walked in we knew we were in for a treat. The place was thoughtfully designed, and the staff all took so much time and effort to make sure each guest felt welcomed. We stayed in one with the private jacuzzi and I can't recommend it enough. It was so nice to be able to watch not only the sunset on the rocks out the back, but also the sunrise. The stars are so bright even from just the patio, so being able to gaze up at the stars in the comfort of the jacuzzi knowing we were only feet away from the room was perfect. We went in Fall when the nights were very very cold, but they still went out, set up the gas firepit for us and gave us complimentary s'mores kit to enjoy, even some warm blankets! There were complimentary snacks and sodas in the room, amazing roasted coffee from Shooke, and overall just a really wonderful experience. I would highly recommend staying 2 nights minimum to really be able to relax.
I honestly can't think of a thing. Was a truly wonderful experience.

Lots of information at check-in and we were shown to our room with more explications in the room of all amenities Great view of Capitol Reef Heater in the room Big room as everything is designed for disabled people Close by a very good mexican restaurant (Chak Balam), even though it doesn't look very promising from the outside A small general store is also only 5 minutes away Great design of the hotel
Pretty expensive stay Breakfast is not included, though you can order a breakfast box and there are a few breakfast places in town
